I called this service specifically because of the Yelp reviews and disappointed. The driver put out his cigarette in the ashtray on his dashboard...the cab reeked of smoke. I was late to a meeting so should have, but didn't, get out and wait for another cab. The driver was very friendly, but the smoke was gross. read more

World Peace Taxi was the service called for me by my Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott in Springfield, IL. I was stuck downtown in Springfield and the Desk Attendant at the Marriott said, "Okay let me call you a reliable service." Because I didn't know any in Springfield. The Desk Attendant called me back and said World Peace Taxi would be there to get me in twelve minutes. They would charge $13-14.00 bucks to get me back to the hotel. World Peace was there in 12 minutes, it cost me $13.00 dollars, the ride was pleasant, the cab did not smell. The driver was lovely, we chatted about this and that and I asked for a morning pickup at 7:30, and the next driver was waiting outside my hotel for me when I got down at 7:25am. Excellent service. I called yesterday and reserved a taxi for 5:00 am this morning to go to the airport. When I got up at 4 am, I saw my flight was cancelled. Before I even called the airline I called this company to cancel my cab so they wouldn't drive here to pick me up. It was 4:13 a.m. I got voicemail and left a message that my flight was cancelled and I would not need their services. After I spoke with the airline, I called the taxi service back at 4:50 a.m. to verify they got my voicemail so they would not have to waste their time and money coming to pick me up. I was told by the owner 'NEVER CALL HERE AGAIN." The company I work for has used this service often as it is an owner operator trying to build a business. Needless to say we will no longer be using his services. read more
