Driver was awesome took me to the bank but couldn't call for him again because of not having money to pay for ride back.

Flew into Springfield Airport at 7 pm. Called for ride at 7:05. The dispatcher said my ride would be there within 15 min. Half-hour later I called again checking on arrival. Dispatcher said the driver was now 10 min out. I waited and waited. It was now 8 pm and I called again. Dispatcher called the driver and came back and told me he would be there in 10 min, he had to stop and use the bathroom! At that time, over 1 hour later, I called an Uber. They came in 10 min, just as the taxi showed up. Horrible, horrible service. The Uber driver said Lincoln Taxi was the worst and you never want to use them. I'm from out-of-town visiting my mom. Driver was prompt and polite... gave me a lift from the mechanic back to my hotel, id use this company again.

To start I called numerous times before I got an answer. My initial call is at around 12:30 in the afternoon, and I had to be at work by 2:30. Once I finally got an answer I was quoted roughly 35 minutes to an hour before my cab would arrive. After waiting roughly about an hour and a half. I proceeded to walk to work. What's at work I got a phone call at about 6:30 at night talking about my cab was available for me this was completely ridiculous that it took 6 and 1/2 hours before I would even receive a cab I would never recommend this cab company to anybody ever again they're poor service they are rude on the phone all around terrible service. read more

Nice enough driver, on time... However, the cab was disgusting; grimey, dirty, cigarette ashes everywhere, seats look like a dozen kids had been left to their own devices in it. It was gross. Clearly, no pride of ownership was taken as a vacuum and wash would have made a big difference. read more

This is my go-to, dependable cab service in the Springfield area. Even during peak times on weekends, they have a cab at my door within 10 minutes of calling. The cabbies are friendly, but there are a some serious problems I have with the company in general. There's a $10 minimum for credit card swipes. Then they add another $1 on top of their own minimum for fuel surcharges. I can only hope that some of that excess goes to the driver, because who is going to tip after making a forced-donation to Yellow Cab, Inc due to their minimums and surcharges? The next complaint is a problem with Springfield cabs in general; they're mighty scarce come 1-3am on weekends. Even if you get a dispatcher on the phone, you're chance of successfully connecting with the cab you call is right around 0%. That's if the dispatcher is actually dispatching a cab at all. read more

This review is for the driver BJ Harris. He showed up on time for a scheduled pick up at my hotel at 5am. He was very kind and helpful. Best of all - he sang Motown hits during our short car ride and was absolutely hilarious!!! There are a lot of bad reviews for this company and I've been in plenty of bad taxis (I'm from New York) but overall my experience was just fine. Perhaps ask for BJ next time and you will be taken are of. read more

I honestly do not know how they stay in business - or why they are allowed to stay in business. Their service is horrible! The last three times I have used them, it took an hour or more for them to show up. This morning I had a doctor's appointment, and called an hour and ten minutes ahead of time. I understand with everything going on that its hard and their trying to be safe, but come on. Bad service!! Called for a cab...they said it would be 15 min to a hour.....very wide window...90 minutes later i call back....they say a few minutes more then hang up on me....30 min later I call back....they ask if i still need it....I say yes then they say ok then hang up on me again. LINCOLN CAB/TAXI SERVICE is an international affair. They are always where you want to find one.. when you need one although in smaller municipalities you may have to wait a bit for a ride to your final destination. I have yet to find a driver to be homicidal in nature or catastrophic in character. It's a ride when you don't have your own within a rushing hour. In some places, the company even offers LIMO SERVICE. read more

So my car died i needed a one time ride so i called them,I though that maybe previous reviews were to much but. Oh my god!!! I would love to give a detailed review of the company but unfortunately I've never even been able to ride in one of their cars. The one and only time I called I was on a timed issue and they ran so late picking me up I had to cancel and try another day. Told me 5-20 minutes which is a HUGE time margin but even then after 40 minutes of waiting the cab still didn't show. Ended up calling to cancel my ride and on the phone they didn't even apologize for taking so long. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY EVEN THE NOT AS RANGED AND MORE EXPENSIVE COMPANIES ARE BETTER. I had a job to get to on a Sunday morning and my wife was out of town with the car. We figured, "hey, let's just get a cab!" knowing that it wouldn't be that much to pay. I set up the ride at 6:50, thinking, "well, even if they're late, I can still make it by 7:30"... ha. 6:55, I call them and they say that the cab driver is on the way. It shouldn't be more than a couple minutes. From 7:00 - 7:15, the phone line is busy. At 7:15, I reach the company and they say again, "the cab driver is on the way. It shouldn't be more than a couple of minutes." At 7:25, I am picked up and I get to work 10 minutes late. The vehicle smelled like cigarette smoke and the driver was telling me horror stories about other customers who rode in this van prior to me. The only apology I received was for the dispatchers who apparently didn't contact him until the 7:15 call. Call Uber. This company is a joke. read more

It is hard to rate them as they never answered the call. I dialed 6 times, it wAs busy once and the other times I got a hold message and then was disconnected. Then, we tried to flag one and he kept going. Then we saw one at a gas station, but could not find the driver. Another driver showed up and proceeded to blow us off. omg!! horrible! never take this cab service!!!! i wish i could give zero stars!! the driver was smoking the whole time, 15 minutes late, i called two hours ahead of time! took me to two different addresses before he took me to the right one, after i told them the address when i called and it was my third time telling the driver the address! i was 20 minutes late for work! and to top it all off, the driver charged me 75 cents more that what my actual fare was. this business should be closed down. totally disgusting and unprofessional!!!! read more

Not even one star. I ALWAYS call at the very least thirty minutes before I need a cab.... usually an hour before.....and I've been late to work three times now because of them. They aren't very friendly when you let them know you're upset. I had one cab driver let a girl throw me and my kids stuff out of the cab on to the ground and pulled off. I had to stand in the parking lot with all our stuff and two very young children and wait until he decided to come back. He also pulled off with some of my belongings in the van still. Driver of course didn't show. Called to see if driver was close and woman who answered was very flustered/rude and didn't seem to know what to tell me. I asked her if she had dispatched a driver and she yelled at me saying she doesn't dispatch them the computer does. She said a driver was now on the way. Think twice before calling Lincoln Yellow Cab if you need to go to Amtrak or Capitol Airport and make your train or flight on time. I called more than an hour before my train was due into the Springfield Amtrak station on January 13. Ten minutes before the train arrived, I was forced to cancel my train reservations because cab was a no show and it takes at least 15 minutes to get to the station from my apartment, I called the dispatch 3 times and was told : "The driver's almost there." I am disabled and move very slowly so I need time to purchase tickets, transfer luggage, If cabs are so busy, Lincoln Yellow Cab must tell customers that they can't meet the timeline commitment.. As a disabled person on a fixed income, I could ill afford the $40 loss on the train ticket. Seriously if you need to catch a flight or train on time, take mass transit, hitch a ride on a turtle or walk. You're more likely to be on time. So no I won't call Lincoln Yellow Cab again read more

I been using them for a couple of weeks due to car issues. Overall, they don't take very long to get you and mostly good service. Would give four stars but had one cab driver that was smoking (without asking if okay) and although smoker myself I have known plenty of people that been allergic or asthmatic that smoking been bad for. Another driver had very loud hate rap music playing he was hard to communicate with cause his music was so loud. These were exceptions but that they happened still bad. Total Fraud. i was standing at busstop, driver came and asked me about the ride sharing or free ride to the university, i didnt even call for a cab also. i was not having any cash, had to pay minimum credit card amount $11 for $5 dollar ride. Previous Experience with the cab was i asked the driver for not to smoke ,and he smoked two Cigarettes in the cab. i have photos regarding that. i complained to the office they didn't even revert back or responded well.
