The following week, two younger fellows came out to do the job, spent the day working hard, my husband checked into a few times, noting that some of the things talked about during the initial meeting were not "planned for," such a replacement of a few broken bricks and a lime treatment of some sort (my husband handled these conversations). Things we were willing to let go. The two men finished, IT LOOKED GREAT! We thanked them, payed them, and off they went.. Less than two weeks later, weeds started to take over the entire flower bed.. We noticed there was no weed barrier (carpet) laid to protect against the weeds (which was agreed upon in the initial meeting). We called to have this corrected, only to be told that they would not be correcting this issue, and that we needed to buy a weed killer to spray instead. In my opinion, this response was not very professional, or sensitive to the fact that our children play around the area they suggested we douse with harmful chemicals..
