No one is fighting and we are not in disagreement. We do not need to go to court. We need a court order brought over from another state, and a California custody arrangement written up and signed. We started our case with Sternberg Family Law in January of 2025. It is currently the end of March 2026, and it is still not completed. After a 5K retainer, they recently came back asking for more money, which after the threat of reporting them to the bar they decided they didn't need. This is frustrating and unprofessional to say the least. Their communication has been awful. How something so simple take so long I do not understand.

She was inexperienced, unresponsive, failed to subpoena important records, did not study my case, showed up late to hearings, and came unprepared. I would have been better off representing myself. My case fell apart under their representation and by the time I fired them I was out of money since they kept "milking me" for more payments and dragging my case and hurting it farther. This was not just disappointing -- it was devastating. They ruined my case and ultimately they ruined my life. I would not be coming back here years later to update this review unless my experience with this firm was so horrible. If you are not documenting your clients because they are paying you cash you should be aware that the IRS might "remember" you because these clients just "might" still have that handwritten "receipt."
