If I could put zero stars I would! Never use this locksmith. Completely unreliable. I needed a locksmith for an eviction and scheduled an appt with AKM. I explained the situation when I made the appointment that it is critical that they are on time to meet the sheriff and they confirmed that they would be there. On the day, I called an hour before they are supposed to arrive and they again confirmed. 10 mins before they are due to arrive, they called to cancel. I drove 7 hours round trip just to make this appointment. Tried to do this 2 weeks earlier and the locksmith was delayed then as well Stray away! read more

I'm updating this review as the situation with my front door lock has changed since my original post. We finally got someone out to see our lock this past sunday, and Mike was very knowledgeable and helpful in assessing the situation and determining the best way to fix it. My experience with AKM has been nothing less than amazing. Fair, responsive and honest. I took an old Toyota there to get the door lock repaired and Miro came out in the parking lot and did everything possible to make sure I got what I needed as quickly as possible. I then took my 2007 Tundra in to get a new fob after my friend that works at Toyota told me it would cost hundreds and got what I needed for $65 in minutes. Then I had my 2018 Mustang in for the craziest reason and Miro took my car around back and got me up and running in minutes. So glad these guys are in the neighborhood. If you have auto locksmith needs, they will take good care of you. Anyone who says they are expensive needs to go grocery shopping these days. read more

From Nami, who answered the phone and accommodated my request, to Mr. Friday, who was the person that made replacement keys for my old car. Nami made sure I didn't go one more day without a car key replacement, so she sent someone to my home because their hours of operation are he same as my work schedule! She sent Me. I am blown away by the professionalism and kindness I experienced at this location. I was leery because of the outside appearance and other reviews. Happy to report that it's a clean, bright interior with kind employees, who know their stuff. YES, it did take a few minutes but this isn't the movies. To get our car a new key, that works, and not destroy what's already there takes more than 60 seconds. Who cares? They're half what the dealerships charge and they used factory parts. Avoid... like to take advantage of non English speakers. Used them to get new key fob. They said ignition needed to be replaced. Scheduled appointment. When arrived tried to say someone else had did tried to reprogram key. They where the only ones who did any work on it. Charged 200 additional dollars. Avoid this place. They will take advantage of you. Filling complaint with BBB. Was not me and again he doesn't speak English. Just because you attempted to speak Spanish does not mean he understood you. AKM came to make a key for me on the day before Christmas Eve. I had misplaced my remote and the key, but only requested that they make a key. The quote was $450 for a basic key that can lock, unlock and start my car. The key worked to start my car but it only locked one door at a time - meaning it would lock the passenger door but would keep all other doors unlocked. I asked if the key could be fixed to lock all doors and they were unable to. I asked if I could have the key for a cheaper price since it didn't work entirely. After about 10 minutes of going back and forth, I asked if I could pay $400, and the locksmith said "you're lucky it's Christmas". I don't like the way that I was treated since I was getting a key that didn't work fully, but I had no other choice. They can do the job but the service wasn't that great. I locked my keys in the car, and AKM was kind, quick, and professional. They came right away to help my daughter and I get into our car, so that we could be back on our way. Called AKM Locksmith on a Friday an appointment was set up for Monday between 10 and 12. Was called in the morning stating they would arrive by 12. They called at 12:30 and was told that they needed to reschedule for the next morning (Tuesday)at 10. The next morning they called at 11:00 and said they needed to reschedule for Thursday. This guy quoted me $65 on the phone. I drove 30 miles to save a little money and get it done faster. When the job was done he said I owed $176. Yes $176. He said he quoted $165 and the rest was tax. There is no tax on labor. I call Keffer Huyndai and getting it done for $75. If you look at the google reviews most of the negative reviews are related to prices being higher and not as quoted. read more

I stopped in today to their physical location to get my mom's car key remote and broken key replaced. They were super nice and did it while I waited; I was there maybe 10-15 minutes. Guy replaced the battery while he was at it. Pricing was great as well. I couldn't have asked for more. read more

Was connected to their service through AAA to receive replacement key which ended up triggering the anti theft device. When asked to come back and fix the programming the technician was argumentative and refused to fix without being paid for a second time. Now we have to take to the dealer to be repaired. Not to mention that the cost of one key with a discount was twice what the dealer charges for a key and fob. read more

This place sucks they made me wait 2 hours for the guy to meet me at the location i gave them. He went to the wrong place the first time. Then the guy took two hours to fix my car and ran my battery dead I asked him if my battery was dead he said no and it was. Y would you need jumper cables if your battery is not dead. The next day the key started messing up and today im now stuck at work because they refuse to come and fix my key. Because im located 1 exit south from rock hill SC. And im now working with my insurance to tow my vehicle to the dealer ship to fix a simple key replacement. The lady is on the phone is totally rude she told me if we did work and your car broke down in Atlanta GA would she want me to have her come and fix it uh duh yes who wouldn't if you do bad work obviously you should try n fix it not blow off someone and say were not trying to neglect there responsibility. Obviously you are and you suck not only do your employees suck at doing there job and lie but you do to. So save your money and go to someone who knows what there doing.
