The ribs were nice and juicy The duck was good but wish there was more of it We also got the veggies with goat cheese and pesto ontop and oh my it was so good. Nothing too special, but I wasn't too happy with a fatty cut of pork the entire time Oxtail: not lived up to its hype, I felt like it was too salty and didn't have enough taste to it, but it was very well cooked and moist. Cream de Cataluna: order this in Barcelona. Every place in Seville hasn't made this like they can in Barcelona...but it wasn't a bad attempt! Some of the best food I had in all of Spain was at this restaurant. I'm at a loss for words. From the food to the dining experience, everything was excellent. My friend and I ordered the tuna tartare as an appetizer and wow. The best tuna tartare we've ever had. It was so fresh and paired perfectly with the aioli it came with. As our entree we decided to share a small portion of black squid ink rice with two full portions of pork loin with sweet potatoes. OMG. That rice. It was absolutely amazing!!! I've had black rice in paella before but this was absolutely delicious on another level. This rice was completely black, creamy, almost risotto-like. It tasted fresh and had small pieces of squid. I would have eaten a large portion by myself if I knew just how exquisite the rice was. The pork was cooked perfectly - tender and flavorful. The sweet potatoes completed the dish and added the perfect hint of sweetness. We ordered the house red wine Rioja instead of Ribera Del Duero and enjoyed it so much we each purchased one bottle to bring home! Smooth, slightly fruity and medium-bodied, it went perfectly with our meal. Our server was extremely helpful and the outside seating was spectacular. This was hands down my favorite tapas restaurant in Seville. The prices are reasonable considering the high quality tapas they serve. I really enjoyed the tuna tartar with avocados, but all of the other tapas were equally as delicious. Honestly, you can't go wrong with anything here. Seville is our second stop after Madrid and so far this place has the best tapas and sangria! Get the sardines, shrimp burger, pork cheek, oxtail and pan fried cod. This place was fantastic. Just a shame I was already full from a night of eating. We decided to stop here because we saw the menu and there was a few interesting things worth trying. The tuna tartar on a potato purée was ok to delicious depending on if you like tartars. It was declicious but maybe because I was full I couldn't quite enjoy it as much but nonetheless the actual dish itself was perfectly done with a balance of not being too acidic. Next up we had the oxtail on corn which was phenomenal. The meat was so tender and it had the right amount of taste to the accompanying sauce. Lastly was the fried cod over abed of veggies. By far my favourite. Loved the perfectly fried fish. Batter was crispy and the fish retained its meaty moisture and texture. Top it off with the fresh veggies it was a perfect dish. The tartar sauce wasnt overly strong which created a fine balance with the fish Service was excellent - no delays. Omg just thinking back of this place makes me want to go back. This is the best food I had in all of Sevilla,actually in all of Spain. Location: This restaurant is located in La Alameda de Hercules which is a very popular street in Seville full of bars and restaurants. As far as seating, I recommend you make reservations otherwise prepare to wait a long while. The restaurant is super cute and chic, it's mainly outdoor seating with plants and natural light which make the decor super cute. I'd recommend this place for a date or for any romantic occasion. They have great wines for a reasonable price, as far as food it is delicious. My friend and I shared the black paella. It was so creamy and the rice was cooked perfect, so creamy. As an entree, I had the solomillo which is Sevilla's specialty with sweet potato. That meat, oh my god, it was so tender and juicy. Every time I would cut into it, the juice would come out, it was such a delight to eat. The sweet potato wasn't a large portion but it was reasonable. Our server was super attentive, suggestive and very fast. Anything we asked for he had it super quick. I would love to go back here and enjoy another dinner. read more

Most of the food is absolutely wonderful, but not the risotto. It should come with a rocket SALAD, but the risotto was just a bowl of green severely overcooked mush with a bitter aftertaste. The worst risotto I have ever tasted (or even seen). The rest was great. The staff was as I have seen before in Spain: rude. So, sadly, it started as 5 out of 5, but for serving risotto that looks and tastes like puke and the rude, horrible (mostly male) staff: 2 stars. read more

My friend is from Sevilla and recommended this place, I was not disappointed. It is a good bit away from the super touristy part of the city, which is a great thing in my book. It faces onto the Alameda, it is a large public space full of restaurants, bars and young locals sitting around socializing (area has a great buzz at night). My mate and myself got a table on the roof terrace of Al Aljibe and it's a lovely spot (note, you can't get tapas on the terrace, only plates). We ordered three plates to share. 1: Duck and brandy pate with pear puree and red berry bread. It was absolutely AMAZING, I loved it. 2: Grilled squid with a coriander alioli, this came beautifully presented and tasted equally good. 3: Black risotto with calamari, brought me back to my holiday in Croatia, muy bien.... We washed it all down with two glasses of wine each and finished this off by sharing the chocolate fondant with coconut ice cream. The whole meal (including wine) came to €42!!!!! Now that would hardly pay for the wine in Ireland, but for the quality of the food it was amazing value. All the food was presented like works of art, It felt 5 star. Just had dinner here tonight, was a recommendation from our Air BnB host. The restaurant was beautiful and the food very delicious, to break it down: Ambiance: we ate outside on the terrace/patio. So beautiful and romantic! 4 stars Service: had a great start but declined from there. Mediocre at best. There was a mix up with our dessert. 3 stars Food: our favorite dinner in Spain and this is the 3rd city we've been to. We ordered the salmon and oxtail. Perfect size portions, not too big. We went to Al-Jibe in October 2013. Originally we wanted to eat at Contenedor but it was full, so the waitress suggested we tried Al Ajibe as she knew a friend who worked there. It was totally worth it. Location: In the centre of Alameda de Hercules. It is one hot spot of Seville at night. There are numerous places to eat and drink - all very different in styles. Al Jibe is probably one of the most sophisticated. It consists of an outdoor terrace, an inside restaurant on two levels and an "exclusive" rooftop with no more than 8 tables. Tables are large even for a couple which is perfect as you often share your plates. Decoration is a mix of parisian terrace and andalus art. It is very refreshing especially after a day of visit. Food: Food was delicious. They serve either tapas or raciones (dishes). Be careful as tapas are only served on the terrace. The rooftop only serve dishes/raciones. That said, we had 3 dishes that we shared : grilled vegetables, tuna japanese style and traditional spanish merluza. Beer was fresh and the white wine was fruity and cold as required. Prices are average for a spanish restaurant but very moderate compared to a traditional French brasserie - espeically with fish on the menu. Service This is the only thing that could be improved. My wife and I dropped in late this evening after walking the Hercules plaza. We did not know about the upstairs seating. Our table was adequate and quiet. I'm not writing this to complain about seating. We were very pleased with our meal. We both had house salad. It was fresh and flavorful. Nice citrus and cheese with usual tomato and lettuce and a very nice light dressing. We also had grilled vegetable tapas which was great. Staff are charming and efficient. All in all a very pleasant discovery. If you are in Sevilla, stop and enjoy. read more

Wish I would have come here sooner! Located in Plaza Hercules, there's tons of bars and other areas to eat. Food here was the best I had thus far ... Fresh salmon, falling off the bone ox tail, well prepared polenta, crispy pig ... And a decadent chocolate ganache. The only miss was a wok prepared chicken. Ah, the shrimp burger was tasty as well! They have a rooftop and menus in english. The price point is perfect. Got here around 8:30pm and was able to dodge the rush. I would go back if I had one more day in Seville. read more

This place is phenomenal! When I first arrived in Seville, I had a bad experience with tapas, but I was determined to change that. I found this little gem on tripadvisor and decided to drag my friends along to try it with me. We were amazed; every dish that we tried (we had 8 tapas) blew us away. Each of the tapas had a pleasant aroma, were decorated wonderfully, and tasted delicious! One downside is that on some of the meat dishes, they like concentrate sea salt on one section of the meat. Our favorite dish was "squid with black rice." The "salmon ceviche" was outstanding as we'll. The price was very good for their quality of food.
