He then told Enzo to take care of his "new" friends. We decided that an offer like that can't be missed so we went there for lunch the nest day. My friend decided to give Enzo our go-ahead to bring out whatever he thought would put a smile on our faces. As you can see from the photo I posted, Enzo was table-side a lot, asking about preferences and potential allergies. We were treated to course after course of great, locally-sourced dishes, every one would be a signature dish for eateries over here in the USA. For example, he sprinkled Parmesan cheese on our risotto (etherial!) and added "aged thirty six months" - and it was rich, creamy and memorable. This small place deserves your attention and a high rating from anyone who understands what it takes to run a memorable restaurant that delivers quality, fair-priced food. In Maranello, the debate is always - Cavallino or Montana - the two most famous restaurants in town. Each has their fans - especially given their Ferrari-centered reputation (Ferrari big-wigs have a private dining room in Cavallino, F1 drivers have memorabilia all over the walls in Montana). However, having eaten at these other excellent places, this place beats them for service, taste, and price. Go, eat, you'll thank me later!

We came here as the…read morefinal food destination of our trip, a violin-themed restaurant for our violin-themed day. The space is tucked away off the main cathedral plaza and has a very calm atmosphere despite its formality. The server helping us was extremely gracious and friendly, and we have to say that the two white wines that he selected for us were absolutely fantastic. We started with the poached egg and asparagus, and we didn't love it. Most of the dish was cold, which is not usually welcome with eggs, but the flavor was nice (LOTS of sauce, as in way too much). For primi, our daughter's eggplant parmigiana ravioli were really nice, and that was probably our favorite dish of the meal. The lemon linguine was super citrusy, but one of us did not love the pairing with the trout eggs. The "mixed grilled meat" plate was very novel. There was this odd salad that was almost like a soup but it was so fresh and delicious-tasting, and definitely very unique. The various meats we tried were also quite tasty, so the dish overall landed well for us. Even though we didn't fall in love with this restaurant, we would recommend it and can see ourselves going again if we're ever back in Cremona (fingers crossed!!). They also gave us a copy of their menu as a souvenir which had this beautiful picture of a fairy playing the violin that we are going to frame, so that's a nice memory. 3.5 stars, rounding up for the memories!

As we entered and sat I was honestly concerned. Even when we read the menu, which was presented in an envelope ( really cool ) I was still very concerned. As our dishes came my concern resided immediately. The food was presentation was amazing. The service was incredible and the taste. Incredible. I had the meat filled ravioli, the meat pizza and the pasta made of eggplant, can't pronounce or spell name. All was incredible. Then for desert crepes. Wow. They said they were low calorie too. Big win. Wink, wink. Honestly as I said un the beginning my expectations were low. I was pleasantly surprised. What an amazing place to eat in Cremona Italy. A definite must try. P.s. Keep your mind open to the restaurants food suggestions.
