The staff was very friendly and yet personal ! We didn't have a reservation for lunch but they took us right away and sitting in the front terrace. I had their 30 mi the prosciutto which was delicious. I also had the side dish of grilled vegetables which included a wide range of vegans were perfectly warm. My partner had a savory tart with parmigiano cream which was also fun and yummy. They served a mini salami with the bread was a nice touch! We would recommend!

A lovely place for dinner! It was about 10 minutes away walk from the main area of Parma but worth the walk. The restaurant is located in a piazza below the street along with a supermarket. The service was excellent. Our servers could speak English so that helped us. A seating area and a bar are on the piazza. The area was heated. A large grill was also outside with a someone grilling meats. We sat inside at a long communal table. It had an old school Italian trattoria vibe. It was softly lit. We ordered the Lambrusco since it is the local Specialty. We were surprised that it came in a good sized bowl rather than a wine glass We actually thought it was soup lol The Lambrusco is much different in Italy. It has a light effervescence and is well bodied. The Tortellini in beef broth is also a local dish. The broth was Ric with a lot of beef flavor. The tortellini had a beef filling. It was delicious. We had pumpkin and a cheese ravioli. Both were delicious. For the entree I had the beef. It was excellent. It was very tender and had a rich gravy on top of potatoes. The roasted onion and tomato added a delicious flavor. read more
BEWARE AMERICANS VISITING PARMA - I just received a ticket in the mail for $84 for supposedly driving through a ZTL. Seriously? We pulled into Parma on the way to Milan to fly back to America and I paid to park in a parking garage and now 6 months later I'm getting a ticket in the mail? This is how you treat tourists spending money in your country? That became a very expensive lunch. We enjoyed our experience at the restaurant and would keep the 5 stars, but YOUR CITY ruined it and we will never come back or recommend to our friends to visit PARMA. read more

One of the few restaurants i visited twice while in Italy and defiantly in my top 5 of a two week trip. If I had more time in Parma, I would definitely come back. Each meal comes with bread and some of the best salami I had. I don't think you'd go wrong with anything on the menu here. read more

Incredible Osteria!! When you get tired of the normal basic Parma staples come here. With a diverse menu that includes incredible steaks grilled on an open fire as well as some of the best risotto and homemade pasta. I would definetly recommend . read more

Five of us had an outstanding meal at this charming restaurant. Our server, Mattei ("JJ") spoke very good English and gave us excellent suggestions. We shared the bruschetta assortment and then had the giardiniera, risotto, the papardelle, and the gnocchi, folllowed by a Tomahawk steak with roasted vegetables and the potatoes. All were delicious! JJ recommended two desserts - the tiramisu and the cheesecake igloo - and some Italian liqueurs that finished our evening beautifully. This pace of our meal was very relaxed, and we enjoyed a wonderful evening. This restaurant is a gem! read more

In Parma I think there is a sort of additional pressure on to have good meals, since you are, after all, in one of the great gastronomic cities in one of the world's great gastronomic cities, so if you're an appreciator of good food, you'd hate to miss an opportunity to enjoy it. After having a really excellent meal on our first night in Parma, we didn't want to go wrong on our second (and last) night, and found ourselves here. The welcome was warm and we found lots on the menu that tempted us, though we were wary of over-ordering. In the end, the two of us opted to share an antipasto of an artichoke budino with cooked shoulder ham, and a primo of gnocchi with herbs and a carrot purée, followed by a secondo for each of us (roasted pork culatello with potatoes, and horse tartare). But then we were tempted by the torta fritta, little pillows of fried dough that looked like a nice additional item. And of course we ordered a bottle of local red wine. And a bottle of water. For our would-be light dinner... No sooner than had we placed our order than a waiter arrived with a little dried salami that we thought was being delivered to us in error. Nope, it's a gift from the house that everyone received. A relatively fresh salami, it was still soft and bright-flavoured, and was a nice treat. Then the torta, gnocchi and budino arrived all at once, and we saw that the portions are huge. We really could have been quite happy with just one of these, rather than all three, but they were all so good that we finished them all (well, not the torta, though we did put a good dent in them). For as big as the starters looked, they paled in comparison with the mains, which were huge, and thus daunting for us, but we did as well as we could to do them justice, since they, too, were excellent. If you're looking for a chance to enjoy some local dishes in a friendly atmosphere, this is a good option. read more
We stopped in Parma for only about 5 hours to eat and Osteria dei Servi didn't disappoint. Even though we arrived late (close to the afternoon closure time typical in Italy), they seated and served us. There was a bit of a language barrier, but we managed to ask for their recommendations and ended up with a charcuterie plate, those fried dough balls, and mixed ravioli. When we noticed that they added a third ravioli flavour that cost more, they quickly reduced the price to match the ones we thought we ordered. Great customer service and fantastic food!! read more
