We had all of insurance with this goofball's office. Over the 40 years I have been with them for…read morethe most part did an okay job. We recently called to make a payment on our truck insurance. The receptionist was eager to help us pulled up my husband's name and quickly tapped on our mortgage insurance, which we do not pay through State farm. $1500 was taken out of our account that was supposed to be 500. When we realize this after looking at our account we called. When asked about the transaction we were told what happened and we were nice about it and we understand mistakes. The problem was we did not get a refund. It has been over 10 days which we were told we would get it within 7 to 10 days. We called yesterday and were told that it was in the check was in the mail and it was going take two weeks or so for us to receive it. This is a total of 30 days to refund us $1500. Needless to say we are switching to another office and are really hopeful that their office help is more professional and accurate. This is a very unfortunate situation because it's hard to change after 40 years. The worst part is Justin. We tried to talk to him. We called several times. They were willing to transfer us through to him until they figured out who we were. Justin has been so rude to me in the past for no reason he's just not a nice guy. we never have been able to discuss the situation with Justin. We were offered his voicemail every time we called even though initially they said he was there and could take a call until we told them who we were.

Our household have been customers with State Farm since the 70's. All that time, we have been with…read morethe office of Tom Plooy- who has since retired this past 12/31/21. After visiting his office on Boniface and Northern Lights many times over the years- mainly to make payments on bills, we saw very little of him (I myself have never met the man). His office workers, however, (with the exception of one man who just sat idle at his desk) were always friendly, and we have had many a nice chat with them. Ashley, in particular, Tom Plooy's granddaughter, was especially competent and helpful. Just recently, a letter received from Tom Plooy came with recommendations for continued service with Doug McCann. His office has just recently been slotted in a space that used to be a hair salon on the south side of the building where the Fred Meyer Muldoon store is located. Okay, so that's weird enough. Got to share the parking lot with the grocery shoppers. This business is still in transition, and even while open, is not client ready. The woman working there wore a mask sporting big red lips, and her hair was disheveled. She was insistent with pushing the purchase of more insurance coverage, as if we need it after being well established and fully covered with our home and vehicles. I have been paying my bills online since I got zero help from Tom Plooy's office in the fall of 2020 after being side-swiped by a drunk driver, and I intend to continue to do so, if only because when you really need the help, State Farm shunts you off to agents in the lower 48. Personal service truly has gone by the wayside, and Tom Plooy's recommendation of Doug McCann continues to prove that fact.

As a customer of State Farm for over 35 years I'm so sad that my agent retired! We had excellent…read moreservice from Tom & then we were transferred to Doug McCanns office. When I tried calling their office I would get routed to a 24-7 number because the office wasn't opened till 9am however it was 9:11. I found another number for Mr. McCanns office & spoke to Savanna & she explained it was a satellite office I was calling but said she could help me. Apparently she couldn't put insurance on a new boat I planned to pick until I got a survey..at this time I have over 12 policies with State Farm which equates to a lot of $$. I asked to speak to a supervisor to see if they could ask the regional office & she said she would check, I gave her my number & she repeated the number. I didn't get a call however someone from the office called & left a message on my husbands phone! I was the one doing the paperwork & expected the call. I can't trust an office that says they will call me back to put insurance on our recreational vehicles in the summer if they say they will CALL me back & they don't! I pay thousands of dollars & expect good customer service! Needless to say I have transferred my business.

If I could give Todd, Jackson and State Farm, a zero star I would…read more My vehicle was involved in a collision in January 2023. I took my vehicle to Swickard since they were a preferred service center for State Farm. They never gave us a guaranteed finish date of repairs as outlined and advertised with State Farm. They finally got our vehicle in the shop in July 2023 after sitting for six months and still no guaranteed repair date as promised through their agreement with State Farm. They kept telling us they were waiting on parts and all in all we've had our vehicle there for 14 months at their shop. In the meantime, I've been paying $700 a month for over year on a vehicle I can't use. I was given a repair estimate of $17,000 on a vehicle valued at approx $41,500, which I was told by State Farm was below the 75% threshold to total the vehicle. After all the delays, in September, I called and asked State Farm if I could take my vehicle to another shop and they advise me that I would incur all the costs if I did so so the vehicle sat. When I finally got the vehicle back, to my shock, I come to find out the repair was actually $36,000. I also come to find out that Swickard had found additional damage beyond the $17,000 and should have submitted and repair supplement and received approval prior to repairs is being made. Instead, they went ahead without authorization and completed the repairs. This is also an internal contract violation between Swickard and State Farm, which requires the repair shop to submit a supplement and get approval prior to additional repairs being completed. After receiving the vehicle we had mechanical issues on our way home which almost caused me to have a collision on the Glenn Hwy. I was able to get the vehicle off the road at the weigh station and got Swickard to come pick it up. When I called State Farm, they were shocked and agreed that this was a violation their agreement. They eventually advised me they were going to go ahead and total the vehicle as it was well above the 84% margin of damage and we started the process. I was given a payout estimate. Based on this, I called Todd Jackson State Farm and had the vehicle taken off of my insurance. A day later, they called me back and told me they weren't going to total the vehicle, and since it was repaired they were going to give it back to me. Even though it's not a safe vehicle to drive. I called Todd Jackson State Farm and was told their claims adjuster, Liza, would get back to me within 24 hours. That never happened so I sent Todd Jackson an email explaining my situation. Their claims adjuster Liza sent me an email stating that she and Todd were looking into it and I should hear back from either one of them once they talk to their claims manager the next day. Again that didn't happen so I called and I was put through to Liza. I introduced myself, and she disingenuously replied, "is there something I can help you with?" I found this to be an odd way to start our phone conversation since she knew exactly why I was calling. I had sent an long email prior to this outlining my concerns with my vehicle and she had communicated back with me on it with a promise to get back with me. She now acted like she didn't know why I was calling. She couldn't help me so she put me on the phone with another lady who also sounded very disingenuous, and then told me there was nothing they could do. The vehicle I have is not the same. State Farm does not hold their select service centers accountable. They don't hold themselves accountable and they definitely don't hold customer service, high or believe and treating people like good neighbors. if you have a claim you don't talk to anybody particular you're always talking to somebody else you're talking to a new person every time you deal with him you have to explain your story over and over and over again to them. They don't know what's going on. They lie and deceive their customers. If you are thinking of getting insurance, do not use State Farm and I would highly recommend not using Todd Jackson State Farm. The vehicle I have is unsafe and had Swickard followed the internal policy with my insurance company this vehicle would've been totaled. Now I am stuck with a rebuilt vehicle that's not worth what I'm paying for. Anyways, I'm just telling the tip of the iceberg on this one and there's a lot more to it but be warned, do not use them or Swickard.

This year, I paid on October 14th which in theory would cover until January 14th. I received a bill saying I owe 700 dollars (!!!!) on December 9th (only 7 weeks after I last paid). I have not received a single phone call from the office regarding this issue, and every time I go in to speak with my agent (Justin), he disappears. He avoids returning calls has alienated myself and my family to the point where we feel like we are just numbers. If you expect good customer service, avoid this entire office at all costs. All they want is your money. Edit 12/3/15 - I have tried attempting to reach State Farm this afternoon, still have not received a call back.
