We had tried two other local nurseries plus Lowe's and Menards without success- sad looking plants and no help who could advise us on planting for our mostly shaded area. Natorp's was completely different and above and beyond our expectations! As soon as you drive in, it's beautiful and clearly marked. The woman at the customer service desk directed us to a perennial specialist who was so knowledgeable with 30+ years of experience! She helped us find everyone on our list and more. The plants are so well organized, labeled, and easy to find. And they were so healthy- even though it was fall when we visited! I can't stress enough how helpful everyone here was. We were helped by at least 4 people who were so smiley and engaging and willing to find anything for us. They shared that they grow everything there and that they have hundreds of acres! And the prices... you would expect a place like this to charge more for the experience and plant quality but they are an outlet so the prices are amazing. My mother in law is a seasoned gardener and told us she had paid almost 3x what we were paying for some of our plants. You get the "club price" just for buying it- so easy! They will load the plants in your car after, truly taking care of you until the last moment. We were still shopping til closing time and they didn't rush us out and helped us even a few minutes before close. This was a bit of a drive from us but worth every minute! We already know we'll come back when it's time to plant more of our yard, and will recommend it to anyone in the market for plants and a wonderful customer service experience.

There are so many plants I have never seen before, a truly incredible selection! I bought my mom a succulent that looked like a Pokémon head. I think they also do terrarium classes. Besides the plants they have so many unique gifts like fun home decor and a few clothing items. But what truly makes this place special is the owner. We only talked briefly but he was working the register with his daughter(not 100%) sure but you could tell he was a nice guy. Someone knocked over a plant and he comforted them and cleaned it up. He was friendly to everyone and happy ot answer any questions. Another small business I wish all the success in the world too! On a recent trip to nearby…read moreFernald Preserve for their Monarch Butterfly Trail Exhibit I learned that Adopt-A-Plant Greenhouses was generously providing free milkweed plants to Fernald visitors to create mini butterfly/pollinator gardens at home. Expecting to just walk in and grab my free plant, I was instead surprised by a beautiful and thoughtful nursery and ended up wandering around forever and buying up a bunch of plants. This place is magical and super peaceful. The greenhouses are laid out in a way that makes sense and with little educational markers. My favorite was the large selection of very fragrant herbs which I raided. Soooo many varieties. A children's play area and fairy garden section makes this a kid friendly visit. Love the eco-friendly focus and the community mindedness of this business!

You won't find any chopped up aluminum, wood, or any other foreign items in there...just pure mulch. It is the finest shredded mulch we've ever used and seemed to spread over more area than the regular stuff. Ryan has always taken care of us and is very reliable on the delivery side too. Called him late in the week thinking I probably wouldn't get it by the weekend, but 2 hours later I was spreading mulch. Excellent service you just don't find much these days. We have purchased MANY trees over the years from Browns and other local nurseries, but our latest…read moreexperience at Browns has not been good. A tree we purchased 10 months ago has not been doing well. It has been properly planted and cared for-even "babied" along-and still not doing well. We are not at all new to tree planting or basic knowledge, so to have this kind of issue is very very rare for us. We have inquired back with Browns 3 times now as to what we can do to help this tree make it, and have gotten zero help or answers this far. We are getting the feeling that they are just waiting for our 1 year from purchase guarantee to pass by so that they can skip their commitment. We do not necessarily want the tree to be replaced, we want their input to know to make this tree thrive better and we are not getting it. Our next tree/shrubs may be coming from someplace else. Update from initial paragraphs above... absolutely zero "customer service" for the tree, and our time ran out. We had to cut it down. $300+ in the burn pile. I very rarely give a business this kind of review, but I honestly feel that this was warranted. We played by all of their retune/customer purchase rules and guidelines, and they did nothing.
