I ordered a hat, received a hat, and it was advertised online as having a wool lining, received a hat with no lining. Returned. Received an email from Sail saying they wouldn't refund the hat because it didn't match the description. I said yes, this is why I'm returning it. They said they didn't carry the hat, even though they sent it to me, and they wouldn't refund. Out $75 and no hat. This company is a scam.

My personal experiences with this store are great! I'll admit a lot of times I know what I want and don't really need a lot of help as a customer, have only had to return one thing and it was no issue at all and I love their selection of everything. Can be pricey, but no more so than many stores so I wait for the sales if there's something on my "wish" list rather than my "gotta have" or "need" list.

Take this review with a grain of salt-- it's strictly relative to all the other baitshops we've…read morebeen to. That said, the store is objectively quite good. The people who work there are nice (which is surprisingly unusual for a baitshop in Ontario), the prices are good (ditto; its a great spot to stockup on extra tackle and such en-route to your fishing spot), and the minnows are quite vigorous. In our experience driving across Ontario, you usually get to pick one of those things. No other shop we've seen has managed to hit all three. We've gotten fairly resigned to a sizable percentage (sometimes half) of the minnows dying before we get a chance to use them, but that just isn't the problem here. Every single unused minnow we bought is still alive and well in my cooler over a day later, and aside from a few that seem to have died from oxygen deprivation while we were changing fishing spots, we didn't lose any en-route. The only cons are: the place is a little bit hard to find (it's behind the Husky, and in a little corner unit that's a bit hard to spot), and occasionally their hours change a bit. So you may want to call in to be sure they're open at times. Still, the location is handy if you're going up North from the GTA to fish, and they're near Bass Pro (their reputation is good enough that the fellows at Bass Pro were the ones that originally directed us here), so its a great one-stop spot to replenish equipment as well as bait and tackle.

I spotted a cute pink Barbie fishing rod and a cute blue Disney Frozen-themed rod for the kids. They've got everything from bait (big worms, green worms, trout roe, trout roe worms, minnows) and tournament tackle (like spinnerbaits, skipping jigs, soft durable plastic baits). They also have nets, bobbers, hooks, lines and sinkers. There's a good selection of both novice and non-novice lightweight carbon rods and fishing vests to dress the part too. Get your fish handling gloves and disinfectant wipes here too. Say no more to stinky fish hands after a long day of fishing!

The one employee, Noah, could basically own the place. He's probably about 15 years old and knew absolutely everything when we had questions about gloves and skates.
