Great food, great friendly service, if you are an Ohio State fan... it's great decor. Been there several times and never been disappointed.

Delux pizza and pineapple extra cheese. So good!!

Had mixed reviews on here but the pizza looked too good not to try. Definitely glad we stopped. Some of the best pizza I've ever had. Homemade dough and sauce wings were good too!

The staff is friendly and the food is excellent. You get huge portions for the price.

Burger with haystack onions, lettuce, tomato, pepper jack & special sauce. Side of fries.

We just happened to be driving by when I was asked to "find a place to eat". Popped into Google maps for "places to eat near me" & came up with this gem! I'm already trying to figure out how to stop at this place on upcoming trips between MI & the south! Their food is all fresh, hand made, made to order & are large servings. Everything is fresh. Delicious. And well... there wasn't anything that came out of that kitchen window in front of us that didn't look super yummy. Prices are reasonable. Indoor seating is sparse, but comfy diner seating. This is a must visit for anyone!

Woody's Diner is good for Ohio State fans. If you don't like OSU, stay away. The place is plastered in stuff. It's one of the few dining options. The best thing on the menu is pizza. I had a vegetable personal pizza. It's about $7 which is okay. The pizza had banana peppers, mushrooms, and tomatoes. It came on a pretty good crust. This wasn't like cardboard like most sports bar pizzas. It took kind of long for a small pizza. Know it will take awhile. You may want to go somewhere else if you don't have time.

Cole slaw awesome for us slaw people!! It's good

Stopped in to this local diner for dinner. WOW! This hidden gem is the bomb! Food is fantastic hospitality fantastic! Portions so huge you can't finish it all! Pizza sub fries and coleslaw this pizza sub is 2nd only to one and it's another local in my home town. I mean they how to make it!! Flavors blend and flow melts in your mouth. Ok moving on wife had the Woody burger and she sit it down she's full and she can't stop eating it. Daughter got the chicken tenders it took 2 chickens to make these I mean check out the pictures of them. Got a large pizza supreme to go for teens at home I'll try that later! Hidden gem people stop in!!!

Good food and atmosphere. Very nice place to eat just a little small. Wait time can be hectic cause of the room they have in there.

Not as great as reviews stated. Pizza sub was mediocre, with canned mushrooms & chewy sausage.

Lunch at Woody's Diner: A Buckeye Superfan's Dream…read more If heaven has a diner, it needs to be like Woody's--otherwise, I don't want to go. As a lifelong Ohio State fan, walking into this place felt less like lunch and more like stepping straight into Buckeye Heaven. Every inch of the diner is drenched in scarlet and gray pride--autographed photos, jerseys worn by real players, helmets, and memorabilia that makes you want to stand up and belt out "Carmen Ohio." I knew before even cracking the menu: I was home. Our server, Grace, was all smiles and Buckeye spirit. She gave us the rundown--Woody's has been serving up Buckeye-influenced eats for about 15 years. And it shows. The burgers aren't just burgers here--they're tributes, each named after coaches, players, or football legends. Picking one felt like draft day. Grace recommended the Dustin Burger, named after former Buckeye great Dustin Fox. Now, I'll admit--when I heard "peanut butter on a burger," my first reaction was the same as when Michigan wins a game: complete disbelief. But I trusted Grace. And let me tell you... this was no trick play. This half-pound beauty came stacked with peanut butter, crispy bacon, cheddar cheese, and a fried egg. It sounds strange, but somehow the combo worked like a perfectly executed Flea Flicker. The bun was grilled, the burger cooked to a juicy medium rare, and by the second bite I needed a stack of napkins big enough to block a defensive line. My wife went with the Tailgate Burger--a powerhouse with house-made BBQ sauce, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, Miracle Whip, and onion straws. Cooked to medium well, it was sweet, tangy, and messy enough to require its own offensive coordinator. She said it was delicious--though maybe a little too "sloppy touchdown celebration" for her liking. And get this--burgers are just the start. The menu is huge, with pizzas, sandwiches, and even big entrees like grilled steak and pork chops. But honestly, when the burgers are this good, I don't know if I could ever call another play. So here's my verdict: Woody's Diner = Buckeye pride + killer burgers + friendly staff = one unforgettable lunch. If you're a Buckeye fan, or just a burger fan, or hey, even if you're that rare soul who just likes food with personality--high tail it to Woody's. Trust me, it's worth it. Until next time, I'm Brian -- and remember to Take the Trip! (And yes, I may have sung the Ohio State fight song all the way home. My wife can confirm.)

We really liked this place in downtown Sidney. It was different. On our way down I -75 traveling to…read moreDayton, we were looking for a place that was relatively quick, easily accessible and not too expensive. That usually means choosing a fast food chain location. These chains serve their purpose but aren't much fun. This place popped up on Yelp and turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The location is a short drive off the highway into downtown Sidney, taking about 4 or 5 minutes to get there from Exit 92. It was located in a retro building on the main intersection in town cross corner from the County Courthouse. Approaching from the West on Court St., it looked a little divey. It looks more pleasantly vintage from the Ohio St. side, which is actually its storefront. Our visit to this place prompted me to do some quick research. The Spot has been in business for over 100 years, opening in 1907. A fire destroyed the original building in 1940 and according to the local paper, "the current Art Moderne-style building was completed in 1941 and still features its original white porcelain tile, mid-century neon sign and iconic diner layout." It truly has a retro feel inside, going more or less for a 1950s aura where you would not be surprised to see Richie Cunningham sitting at a booth drinking a malt. Although the jukebox is digital, the upgrades enacted by the new owners who took over last year generally seem to be spot on. While it looks retro, the infrastructure is in nice shape with a clean, tidy appearance. It's a pleasant place for a meal. The format is walk-up-and-order. The girl working the counter was polite and efficient. To be fair in context, however, we walked in around 6:45 PM on a Wednesday night an hour-and-a-quarter before closing. It was not at all busy when we entered with one party there finishing their meal and only two others who walked in before we left. Hence, efficiency would be expected with no other customers to be served, but I'll still note the good work. The food was up quickly without any issues. We sat in 1950s comfort to enjoy our meal. I had the Turkey Club. It was quite good. I ordered mine with Onion Rings as my wife wanted to split these with me. She had the Swiss Lad sandwich, which she said was also very tasty. We split an Iced Tea which was likewise quite good. With everything, we spent $25.48 for dinner. At less than $13 per person, I was happy with that value. We'll certainly look for this place again when we are passing through Sidney.

I must say I was a little reluctant to go here after reading some of the recent reviews on Yelp…read moreprior to visiting. To my surprise, I was greeted at the register by a very friendly, Isabell, who also shared it was her first day working there when I told her it was my first time dining. Her kindness made me feel welcome. It was really neat to see the various pictures and articles on the wall highlighting President G.W. Bush visit 28-Aug-04 and another picture highlighting this establishment was previously owned by Rob Lowe's (Brat Pack actor from the 1980's) grandfather. The menu included several diner classics so I selected the "Big Buy" which was a double decker hamburger which was cooked to my liking. The wait was very reasonable and I enjoyed seeing families enjoying their dining experience together on a Tuesday evening. It was also enjoyable listening to some familiar music from my youth while waiting and then consuming my meal. I also selected onion rings which were thinly sliced and had a flaky texture, but these can cool quickly it seemed, but were tasty. I tried the chocolate and vanilla mixed/twist malt and a piece of raspberry pie. The malt was delicious, but the pie was a little dry although I finished it quickly. I also appreciated seeing the work ethic of Isabell meticulously maintaining the dining room tables carefully. I asked some folks in town about the new ownership and a few indicated "hit or miss", but for me on this evening it was a hit. Hopefully the new ownership adapts and adjusts by being a good listener to a customer base that provides feedback so it can be a thriving business for years to come in this unique location. A unique experience indeed, ...thank you.
