Throughout the process, communication was poor despite multiple follow-ups. I received a generic email on April 10 stating that returns might not be completed on time. It wasn't until after I raised my concerns that I was told I had submitted my documents too late to receive the expected turnaround and they had done me a favor by taking on my tax return. Had that been disclosed during my initial consultation, I would have hired another CPA. After I later received an IRS notice regarding my tax payment, I reached out for assistance and received no response, leaving me to resolve the issue on my own. While the firm ultimately reimbursed the penalties and interest, they refused to acknowledge the broader service issues or take responsibility for the overall client experience. Unfortunately, based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm.

So they did my taxes and did them accurately. I'm not so sure that they saved me any money, but…read morethey didn't cost me any extra either. The problem came when the IRS did not post my final payment. I received a bill from the IRS saying that I owed them over $2000. I sent the letter and the proof of payment to them and asked them what happened? They told me that I had to call the IRS to find out why they didn't post my payment. I even reverified that they were not going to make that call for me. My taxes are complicated, and I have had a CPA prepare my taxes and electronically file them every year for the past 30 years. Things like this don't happen often, but when they do THE CPA IS THE ONE WHO CALLS THE IRS ON MY BEHALF!! If there were an error on the preparation of the document, then I would have been at a loss to explain it. I ended up waiting on the phone for 4 hours and was able to get it straightened out myself. However, I am now looking for another accounting firm because this is not the level of service I require. At the same time, as I said, they prepared my taxes accurately, so I don't think it's fair to give them just one star. I'm not sure I would recommend them though, just based upon the fact that they aren't going to help you if anything goes wrong.

The lady who helped up on the phone was very kind and quick. We were given a quote of around $280 with first responders discount. After telling them all of our information like dependents, OT issues etc we were given a return that had none of that listed and was asked to pay $350. It took lots of back and forth. I will admit my partner was slow to responding back at times but he's in the fire service and is not available most days. We had asked them to call us for any questions and they failed to do so which resulted in us not getting back in touch for long periods of time. Fast forward to now, we finally got everything situated. We got the bill and it was requesting $350 again. We paid it since we just wanted to get it over with but it's just a bummer to be quoted a number and having to pay more than we expected. I'm not going to say I don't recommend. I'm sure we played our part in the quality we received by slow communication. Nonetheless we are thankful for the service , just bummed.
