One of my favorite sweaters somehow got a hole in the arm, and since it was cashmere, I decided that someone more experienced than I should do the repair. Because it was early spring, I knew there would be a wait since it's prom season. They gave me a turnaround of about 2 weeks, the total for the repair and to bring cash when picking up; no problem. The repair is fine. I kind of hoped it would have been done either with cashmere yarn or comparable blended yarn, but it looks like it was just done with regular thread. I guess the business name also gave me higher hopes for a sweater repair. So it is still noticeable, but probably better than I could do. I probably would have been more upset if I'd attempted it myself and messed it up more. I may eventually try to match the yarn and redo it myself, but it's good for now, and I'm probably the only one who notices. Had my daughters prom dress altered here. We called in advance to make sure that they would be able to do it in time and they said no problem. The store isn't very big and only has two dressing rooms. There were two people ahead of us, however, we didn't have to wait very long to get into a fitting room and then have the adjustments made. We were given a date of when it would be ready and told to call first. The dress was ready as promised and fit perfectly. I thought the cost of the alteration was reasonable. This business does great alterations but if you need to inquire about a piece with a quick turnaround - don't bother calling them or texting. Instead, waste your gas and drive down there to ask in person for them to tell you that they can't do it with a week deadline (which I expected - not upset about that) and when you ask if you have the right phone number- that you've been calling since Monday and even texted per the instructions online, get told when they're busy they don't answer (also no way to leave a message via call). Will solely not be using them in the future for the lack of attentiveness and communication to potential clients. If you're African American don't waste your time or money dealing with these Racist Indian owned establishment. I had a not so good experience the last time I used them to alter a couple of my sports jackets, but I'm the type of person who will always give you the benefit of the doubt, so I just walked out knowing definitely that they don't like African American people, and don't want our business. I arrived and the seamstress was waiting on another client,but I wasn't greeted with a "Hello,"instead was told to take a seat..After waiting for awhile, and no one else volunteering to help me.The same seamstress stopped helping her customer to help other white customers that came in. She looked at me and said "Someone was coming to help me." I'm beyond upset!!! Let me make this perfectly plan. This is a RACIST RACIST establishment,and if your an African American, don't waste your time with and money dealing with them. I took a skirt here to add some fabric underneath, as the skirt is see-through. They took my measurements and said it would be ready in two weeks. I just went to pick it up and they hadn't started on it. They had a question about what exactly I wanted (even though when I took it in they said they understood) but they hadn't even called to ask me! Very poor customer service. read more

I enjoyed the services I gave when I called them about an event I had to attend to get a pair of pants to be hemmed because they were too long. She asked me how many pairs of pants I had, and I told her just this one. I told her my suit coat fit perfectly. She told me to bring them to her, and she will take care of the pants. When I arrived, she was very professional, polite, and understanding. She told me to return at 4:00 pm, and the pants will be ready. As I turned into the plaza, she called to remind me that my pants were ready for pick-up. That meant a lot to me, and it demonstrates excellent customer service. I brought in a sweatshirt that needed a simple hem for frayed ends, the lady working told me it would be ready in 2 weeks which already seemed like a long time compared to the week long time other alterationists have given me in the past for more complicated items. But I agreed to it because the location was much more convenient for me. After 2 weeks I went to pick up my sweatshirt and it had not yet been worked on and the employee offered no apology and responded as if I was wrong for being frustrated by the unreliability. I was not rude nor reactive, I simply explained that I was told 2 weeks and that it was bad business. She told me I could take my item somewhere else. So I am! If you need something tailored that's important to you, I would strongly advise you look elsewhere. I made the mistake of bringing my wedding gown here for minor alterations. When I came in for my second fitting, I didn't even recognize my dress. In fact, I initially thought they handed me the wrong one. When I asked if she was sure this dress was mine, she immediately became incredibly defensive and basically shoved the dress back at me yelling "this is your dress! This is your dress!!". They shortened the sleeves, took in the waist (not something we discussed) and didn't do the minor alterations we had previously discussed. It was almost like they had done the wrong alterations my dress. It no longer fit me and the sleeves hit at an awkward and uneven length. There were also still a few stray pins stuck that caused picks in the lace. When I asked her to walk me through what alterations had been completed, all she could say was "we did the alterations we talked about" and seemed to think I had already been in for my second fitting prior. Very strange and makes me think that they may have confused my dress with another's and done the wrong alterations. No apology was ever offered. No solution we given. The just told me the "alterations were free of charge" (uhhhh thanks?) and sent me on my merry way with a nearly ruined wedding gown. Absolutely horrible way to treat someone. read more

I'm a noob when it comes to getting work done on clothes. Think about that as I tell my story of coming to this business to offer my money for their service. I came in with this way too big suit I had for a long time, and was hoping to get it tapered. The 2 ladies in there were super friendly. They started doing the pins, and after a few minutes just looked at me and said: "You should really just go buy a new suit for yourself. It would be very expensive for us to do this, and you might as well just get a nice, new suit that fits you very well." I was floored in the best way possible, as this was them turning me down for money they thought could be better spent elsewhere; not going into their bank account. I will undoubtedly make this my go-to for any tailoring/clothing work that needs to happen. Albeit little, these ladies restored a bit of hope in humanity that day. I told them I will come back for any future work I need done. Honest people in the world are a good thing. read more

All 3 of the dresses were complicated for their own reasons--one is lacy and beaded, and the other 2 were flowy maxi dresses with lots of material--and these ladies did an impeccable job with each of them.
