I discovered this dry cleaner when I lived in Vestavia and always had a positive experience. I have since moved to Crestwood South and still drive to Vestavia specifically for this dry cleaner! They do a great job, they are efficient (1 day turn around if you get your clothes in early enough), and very reasonably priced! I recently had 4 pairs of dress pants, 3 blazers/suit jackets, and a dress shirt dry cleaned and a pair of pants altered for the same price it would've cost me to just get my 4 pairs of pants dry cleaned at all the places by my house in crestwood. Sooo, this isn't my first time writing a review for Dry Clean City. I had a picture of the business removed (for some strange reason) and now noticing that my entire review was removed. Not sure what I did Yelp overseers, but I'm sorry! Anyway I really do love this place as a business. Not only because they do great work at some of the best dry cleaning prices around, it always feels like home when I come here. Always spoken to by name, always treated with respect... it's just a really good reminder of how businesses should operate in general! I've interacted with maybe 5 or 6 different people (including one being trained) over time, and never have I not left without a smile on my face! Pay up front and if it's before a certain time of day, your clothes will be ready the following day! Not only do they dry clean, they have a seamstress who comes once or twice a day to restitch buttons etc if you need that kind of thing. Also, as bonus, word of mouth referrals get you and the person you refer some dry clean discounts! Can lose with that type of offer! I take comforters here to get cleaned often (only $20 for any size), but keep in mind that those take a lot longer for them to clean (they are usually ready in a week). Was looking for a place to get a blazer altered and found Dry Clean City on Yelp. They make appointments for alterations on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings. I dropped off my jacket on Friday and picked it back up on Wednesday. It was 25 dollars to shorten the sleeves. They did a good job on it. I was very pleased with the work for that price. read more

I discovered Dry Clean City after searching for a reasonably-priced dry cleaner that was convenient to my workplace. I was fortunate to have discovered Dry Clean City! Parking isn't a problem - they share a lot with Brewster's Ice Cream. Customer service is top notch - everyone is so nice! I have used them for regular dry cleaning needs and alterations (hemming and fixing some broken buttons) and have been very satisfied with results and turnaround times (usually the next day after 5 for dry cleaning). I know they offer other conveniences like a drop-off box but I can't speak to that...yet. Usually there is a charity/donation drive going and they have a text message and email distribution list for deals/specials. Even without these, the prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back to Dry Clean City for all of my dry cleaning needs! read more

NEVER EVER TAKE YOUR CLOTHES HERE.... I had my daughter take two items to this cleaners and it ended up being a huge mistake. One was a wool sweater, which was a gift from her grandmother. They ruined it!! It came back a couple sizes smaller and looks like it had been brushed... Just awful! I also sent a brand new dress only to be pressed, got it back smelling like chemicals, half pressed and all of the tags had been removed. It seriously stinks and cannot be worn until it's washed. To make a bad situation worse, the customer service was awful! The lady there was just flat out rude and got smart with me twice. I should have never left my clothes there! I will never go back and I highly recommend you stay away as well. read more

We have been using Dry Clean City since it opened. They do a great job and you can't beat the price. They are prompt, efficient and friendly. The clothes are always cleaned and pressed well. The owner and his wife are usually there on site which is nice. They provide alterations and they also provide a drop off bag for after hours. The only down side is parking availability but they get you in and out so fast that it's not really a problem. They share a building with Brewsters ice cream and there are only 2 parking spaces directly in front of the store. There are spaces nearby of course but only 2 directly in front. read more

I am extremely pleased with my dry cleaners! They are prompt and can pretty much service any of your dry cleaning needs. They offer a great deal for first time customers: 2 garments free on your first visit. They replace lost buttons (not sure if you need to have the button, but I did). They clean comforters for $19.99. They have a drop off service and same day pick up as long as you drop off your items by a certain time. They have a very friendly staff (very). They admit if they mess up and take ownership in a service guarantee(disclaimer: mistakes don't happen often here, but when they do, they are honest about it). They shrunk my wool sweater which was a gift from my late grandmother. That was just heartbreaking. The customer service at drop off was terrible and I should have known better at that moment and just went somewhere else but because of the good reviews I left my sweater anyways. I will NEVER go back here. And to make matters worse, the sweater smells like a harsh chemical and not like something someone should put on their body. read more

My first visit to dry clean city I took in 7 pieces and they all came back perfectly. They have a great new customer offer, 2 pieces for free. Everyone was nice and they are so fast! You can pick everything up the next day after 5pm, I expected to have to pay more to get them rushed. Overall I'd say it's worth the drive from downtown for the quality of work and the service. I 've used dry clean city Vestavia for about a year and a half now. Prior to that we used another location which did an equally great job but at a much higher price. We tried other dry cleaners simultaneously when looking to find a cheaper location but found ourselves repeatedly going back to dry clean city. Based on Yelp, I bypassed several cleaners that were closer to me. I saw online that you could get two items free as a new customer. However, I only had two items and I did not want to take advantage of them. I had two blazers that only needed freshening up because they were given to me very scented. When I picked up them up, I noticed a pretreat tag on one. I did not notice a stain before, but I thought that was just a sign of the excellent service. When I got them home, I noticed that there was writing on the pretreat tag. It said item was brought in damaged. When I pulled off the bag, that's when I saw that the faux leather pocket tabs were all eaten up. They were NOT damaged when I brought it in. Someone did not know that this material should not be exposed to heat. The blazer should have been ironed by hand to avoid those areas. It's on me that I did not inspect it before leaving. However, I am appalled that instead of owning up to damaging the blazer, Dry Clean City tried to blame me by lying about the initial condition of the clothes. I now understand why the woman kept my receipt when I gave her the ticket. Since the blazers were a gift, I'm just out of $6.58. But I'm very upset on how I was treated. Hidden in a sea of strip malls is this gem of a dry cleaner! By far the cheapest I've ever been to an they are super friendly. Their turn around is really fast. My only issue with them is their location. I understand why they are out in the middle of nowhere, but it's a drag to go out there. So I'll start off by saying that I dropped off 3 of my husband's suits at around 1:30pm on a Tuesday and they were ready for pickup by 5:00pm the next day. It wasn't even on a rush! That was standard! With the 2 free garments as a new customer and $2.99 for each additional, I paid less than $12.00 for 3 pants and 3 jackets. When I brought them home, my husband was amazed at how great they looked! He said he felt as if he was holding 3 brand new suits. I've already started recommending this place to ALL of my coworkers, family, and friends. On top of the quality of their work, the service was spectacular. Great location, nice people, and great prices! The inly negative is that i like to get my dress shirts pressed with medium starch, and they sometimes starch the collar with folds and creases showing in the front. Also, the front stitching for the buttons is never pressed and starched correctly. It usually has a few visible defects or folds where they didn't flatten it properly before they pressed it. Pants are known to have a few stray creases as well. Maybe it's the Army coming out in me, but just make sure you take a look at the quality of work on your shirts and pants. They are nice people and would probably re-do the press if i asked, but i just fix it myself. That being said, the prices keep me coming back. read more

This is the best place in B'ham for dry cleaning. It's a pain to drive here from Homewood and brave the Montgomery Highway traffic, but well worth it. They do an excellent job for the lowest price I've really ever heard of. Just so you know, however, they do ask you to pay in advance when you drop off your laundry. read more
