I wanted to get alterations for a gown I bought online. I only needed the dress hemmed a few inches because it fit perfectly everywhere else. I was in David's Bridal and I asked about alterations. I was not feeling their price or turn around time. A few doors down from David's Bridal, I noticed a new place had opened. I searched for them on Yelp and I found 2 reviews. The two reviews were good so I decided to give them a try. I figured they had to at least be decent if they were a few doors down from David's Bridal. I called them and asked if I could come by and they said of course! When I got there, I was immediately greeted. The ladies were so friendly and I could tell they knew what they were doing. They even gave me suggestions on where to get some shoes because they ones I intended to wear with the dress were glittery, which was sticking to my dress. I dropped my dress off a Friday and it was ready by Wednesday. Not only do they do great work...they do it quickly! I will definitely be using them again!

Because it was early spring, I knew there would be a wait since it's prom season. They gave me a turnaround of about 2 weeks, the total for the repair and to bring cash when picking up; no problem. The repair is fine. I kind of hoped it would have been done either with cashmere yarn or comparable blended yarn, but it looks like it was just done with regular thread. I guess the business name also gave me higher hopes for a sweater repair. So it is still noticeable, but probably better than I could do. I probably would have been more upset if I'd attempted it myself and messed it up more. I may eventually try to match the yarn and redo it myself, but it's good for now, and I'm probably the only one who notices. The staff was nice, and the work was completed on time as promised.

The store isn't very big and only has two dressing rooms. There were two people ahead of us, however, we didn't have to wait very long to get into a fitting room and then have the adjustments made. We were given a date of when it would be ready and told to call first. The dress was ready as promised and fit perfectly. I thought the cost of the alteration was reasonable. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for all your fitting needs.

She gave me the date May 1st to pick it up and my wedding date was May 11th. I came in around 3pm May 1st... she said it wasn't ready come back May 5th. I came in May 5th... she said she hadn't started on it. I should have taken the dress and the $ back (she makes you prepay for alterations), but I brushed it off telling myself it'll be all worth it. She said she would call me. May 9th rolls around and I get no call. She won't answer my calls. My grandma was so fed up she went down there to pick the dress up assuming it wasn't finished. It was 8:15 am on Wednesday May 9th, my wedding is May 11th. Upon receiving the dress from my grandma I was horrified. I immediately burst into tears. My beautiful wedding dress of my dreams completely ruined. Rose told her she did it at 3am that morning.... ARE YOU KIDDING?! I was sobbing the entire day ruined because of someone waiting until 3am to do my dress. I am so upset I have been biting my nails off all day wondering what am I going to do.. it's now May 10th a day before my wedding and I luckily found a back up dress. I am super upset and will never recommend her to anyone. Ever. She sewed the corset completely wrong. She used cheap parachute feeling material that didn't even match my dress and she accidentally sewed a piece of the string to tighten the corset with to the dress, so I couldn't even tighten it! Horrible quality of work. Messy/sloppy and waits until the last minute for a wedding dress!!! The most important day of my life. Ruined.
