Finally a good Greek restaurant in Oslo. As you take a step…read moreinside Klimataria Taverna you immediately forget the cold winter outside. The feeling of summer in Greece hits you with Greek music, happy people, plants hanging from the celling and simple interior combined with the smell of good Mediterranean food. You will get a plate of hummus and another plate of pita, corn chips, beets salad & few other condiments. The hummus are not bad, a little bland & dry for my taste, I do prefer it to be a little more garlicky. As for the falafel, again, it was OK with lack of flavor & not very crunchy outside. As for the roasted chicken, it was decent & can get a little dry when dip with the pita. That being said, for the price, it really fills you up and I really liked the ambiance. My waiter/sommelier steered me away from a 1999 Château Lanessan (which he let me try anyway) because it was kind of faded and instead towards a 2015 Barda Pinot Noir from Argentina, which was in a much better window and ended up matching better. (Though in the end, although it is tastefully made, there was too much new oak and sweetness in it for my taste.) I had a crème catalane at the end which was very nice and palate-cleansing. The main portion was small, but the food was incredibly good. Maybe have a little apéro snack before you head to Cru. And yes, the bill adds up quickly, but this is Oslo. This was quality.

The waiter seated us and started telling us about the menu (We went for the 7-course menu) the staff was professional and friendly, the sommelier was very knowledgeable and he recommended some great wine throughout the entire meal. This is one of Oslo's best restaurants right now, the food and the wine was perfect inn every way, as was the staff @ CRU. Highly recommended.

So unprofessional and unorganized. Disappointing behavior. Food was good but I am beyond disappointed in the server that didn't have the common sense to get the bill right. Is it that hard? We went in after our meal to call a taxi and none of them said anything until we were long gone. Then proceeded to call us saying we didn't pay. Seriously get it together. Will not be recommending.
