As we go through our day to day lives trying to navigate the chaos of Covid19 and the changes it is bringing... Isolation, quarantines and fears. Learning to stay 6 feet away from our fellow human beings. These first responders are still showing up to their jobs to help others and I am sure they are facing the same fears as the rest of us... The 3 men that showed up to help my father were the kindest, most professional skilled & respectful worker's you could ask for. Kudos to them all for treating my father with kindness & respect. They went so far above & beyond! My family is most appreciative. They even asked if they could clean up the broken pot so there was no sharp mess, who does that? They did! We are so grateful for their help. In all the commotion I didn't get their names so all of our gratitude goes to all of the Fremont fire departments and Falck Alameda county ambulance services. They assessed the situation, immediately offered pain medication, splinted my foot, and gently placed me on a gurney, all while someone held my hand firmly. Their kindness and genuine concern helped ease my suffering. During the ride to ER, the fireman that stayed with me had positive words of encouragement and kept me smiling with his humor. Our conversation kept me distracted and his words of wisdom still resonate with me. They even had the foresight to have my husband remove my jewelry in case surgery was required, which it was. I wish I had asked for individual names so I could thank each fireman/woman personally. Once I'm able to get around, I plan to stop in for a visit. I'm so proud to live in Fremont and truly feel we have some of the best fire and police force in the state.

I went to the Police Department and he was there to speak with me. I told him exactly what was going on. He read the whole court order. He attempted to reach out to the mother of my child. This review is specifically for Sergeant Matt Kroutil for his humiliating and low behavior,…read moremean-spirited personality and ill mindedset. It was a small thing that turned into an issue that deserve serious questioning on the morality and ethics of Sargent Matthew Kroutil. Here the plaintiff has no intention to comment about Mr. Kroutil's ethics or professionalism as a police officer and as a supervisor, but here is the story and what happened on 08/20/2026. 3 or 4 weeks ago, my wife's vehicle parked along the street curb right in front of my house for an extended period of time, some neighbor reported, so the police came in to tell my wife to move it. The police knocked the door and initially we talked at the door. I admitted the problem, and told the police officers that I knew the problem and I had reminded my wife multiple times to move it, but for some reason it could not be started some time ago. I also promised the police officers we would call in AAA to try to start the vehicle. If it could be started, we would change battery; if could not be started, we would just donate it. I also mentioned by the way in low voice that there was another vehicle on the other side of the street which had parked there even longer. The response of the old experienced police officer was surprising and embarrassing. He intentionally and repetitively raised his voice so loud that it looked to me he wanted my neighbor to hear:" You are saying your neighbor is parking there also, I will talk to your neighbor later." He repeated that multiple times in loud voice even when we moved together to my drive way and to the street. I was so embarrassed that I had to stop him:" Stop, I don't care any more!" Then I left and went back to my house. This old police officer was experienced enough to know the consequences of that. It seemed to me that he was trying to stir tensions and disputes among neighbors, and if I am considered a whistleblower, then he was trying to expose me as the whistleblower. Not acceptable to me. Today after 3 weeks I decided to call the Pleasanton Police department trying to make a suggestion or advice about the misconduct of this police officer. I said clearly in the call several times: it is not a complaint, or report about anyone, rather it is a suggestion or advice worth paying attention to in future services and law enforcement. So Pleasanton City department arranged Sargent Matt Kroutil (Batch #281) to give me a call back. Sergeant Kroutil did call shortly, but in less than 1 minute into the call, right after saying hi and greetings and self introduction, he said something like "hold on" and then transferred my phone call to Pleasanton Garbage services, which kept me waiting for over 28 minutes before I realized that I was tricked. During that time, I called Pleasanton Police Department Hotline using another cell phone and let the people on the phone hear the repeated robot audio: it was all about Pleasanton Garbage Services, repeated time after times, for 28 minutes before I hang up. I also recorded some of the audio as evidence. Afterwards I hanged up realizing Mr. Kroutil was fooling. The phone call started at 10:04AM and ended at 10:34AM. It could be longer had I not realized it was a scam. The behavior of Sargent Kroutil (Batch 281) is a grand misconduct and a sign of lack of sincerity in serving the people or facing the problems, especially as a mid level police officer who were assigned to handle civic complaints or suggestions or advice. I strongly feel obliged to file a formal report about him in view that he is a police supervisor. Mean-spirited and ill-minded things like this should not have happened to a sargent. Transferring my phone to Pleasanton Garbage Services and keeping me waiting for 28+ minutes before I realized it was a scam is truly angering.
