My hats off to the Fremont fire department engine #59 and the Alameda county ambulance service…read moreFalck. My father lost his balance on his porch and fell into a potted plant and couldn't get up. Thank goodness for a neighbor walking their dog and calling 911...Bless you! As we go through our day to day lives trying to navigate the chaos of Covid19 and the changes it is bringing... Isolation, quarantines and fears. Learning to stay 6 feet away from our fellow human beings. These first responders are still showing up to their jobs to help others and I am sure they are facing the same fears as the rest of us... The 3 men that showed up to help my father were the kindest, most professional skilled & respectful worker's you could ask for. Kudos to them all for treating my father with kindness & respect. They went so far above & beyond! My family is most appreciative. They even asked if they could clean up the broken pot so there was no sharp mess, who does that? They did! We are so grateful for their help. In all the commotion I didn't get their names so all of our gratitude goes to all of the Fremont fire departments and Falck Alameda county ambulance services. And my dad is fine...

Imagine falling off a ladder and having your foot detached from your leg. Yea, that's what happened…read moreto me. The fire dept arrived within minutes. They assessed the situation, immediately offered pain medication, splinted my foot, and gently placed me on a gurney, all while someone held my hand firmly. Their kindness and genuine concern helped ease my suffering. During the ride to ER, the fireman that stayed with me had positive words of encouragement and kept me smiling with his humor. Our conversation kept me distracted and his words of wisdom still resonate with me. They even had the foresight to have my husband remove my jewelry in case surgery was required, which it was. I wish I had asked for individual names so I could thank each fireman/woman personally. Once I'm able to get around, I plan to stop in for a visit. I'm so proud to live in Fremont and truly feel we have some of the best fire and police force in the state.

This very rude woman on the phone interrupted me and said "WE KNOW WHERE IT IS" "POLICE & FIRE DEPARTMENT IS ALREADY ON THE WAY" Then she hanged up on me. Wtf... Whoever this was answering the phone needs to learn communication skills when talking to the public. Learn how to listen and not interrupt when other people are talking. Learn how to be polite when answering a phone. I will give you an example : Pleasanton Police Department, How May I Help you Caller I like to report a car accident. Police department: Sure, where is the location. Calling. These are the cross streets (more info if needed) lanes blocked injuries etc Police department. Thank you emergency vehicles are on the way. This is how you answer a call. You dont interrupt people when they call. Remember our tax dollars pay you to have a job.

August 11, 2024, I asked police for a civil standby to get my personal belongings ( from my home…read morewhich my ex took over in court less than 2 weeks prior without letting me get my things). Police told me not to ask for help again getting my things. I had 10 minutes total to get a box of items. My personal identification documents were not included. I was told by the legal system police showing up to help me get my socks and underwear traumatized the kids. I went back alone to the house 4 days later to get my social security card. Didn't ask cops for help for civil standby since they said don't ask us again. I ended up with a restraining order for getting my social security card. Should have asked the police for help that day but they said don't call us again. To this day I have not been able to get my personal belongings from my old home. The legal system allows for stay at home moms who are running away from abuse to be punished more by not allowing them rights to their personal belongings. Police and court does not recognize this kind of abuse in the legal system. It's a financial type of abuse lots of stay at home moms like myself experience but no one cares. They don't care that moms in Pleasanton might be abused and inevitably rich people win over the less advantaged party in civil cases. Police ignore that problem. Meanwhile when I asked police to investigate prostitution, which they say is illegal, it falls on deaf ears. They knows it common practice here and ignore it because it's the oldest business and it benefits lots of rich people. Yet it's a crime to participate in on paper. I get a restraining order for going to my old house to get my things. Fine. Meanwhile some people can participate in prostitution and the legal system ignores it and just says to me you have anger issues and you need to behave. Being a woman in this city in this state in this legal system is a lot like what my family's country probably is like. That's Pakistan. Shariah law run Pakistan. Women who are abused and who try to leave are punished within the legal system.
