I had a very bad experience with this location. I came in take my ticket wait for 45m. The lady at…read morewindow 1 asked me my information and my zipcode. I explained my situation about my parents that they lived in a foreign country so I just need a general information to help them plan and what IDs do they need to bring. The employee kept cutting me off said that she can't tell me any information which is understandable and I'm aware about the privacy rights. She told me my dad need to come to the "local" office that he lives and said my zipcode is different. Instead of helping and advising they just told me that my parents need to brings their IDs that it. I'm not asking her to go to my parents profile or social to gave me the information. All I'm asking is show me like a flyer or where to find information, answering general questions for example how many ID do they need to bring, what type of IDs will be acceptance and what ID will not be acceptance. I tried to repeat 2-3 times my questions but she did not let me finish it. My parents are elderly, and they will travel very far to get their benifits done so I hope the employees be nicer to people to save time for others.

Their untrained assessment of the fact that I had "slurred speech and other signs of apparent intoxication," which are similar to someone who just got hit in the head by another vehicle, they chose not to take me to the hospital for medical assistance, and instead chose to get bloodwork done and transferred me to jail. The jail nurse assessed me for a concussion, and I was treated properly by the Alameda Sheriff's. What a bunch of imbeciles. Furthermore, the DA has refused to file criminal charges, despite having tried to charge me with a felony. A vehicle hit me, but they chose to transport 2 people in the other vehicle that t boned me for minor injuries, yet I was transported to jail to get proper medical care by the jail staff nurses. This is ridiculous. Newark PD needs better officer training. Beyond ridiculous that they made me do a bunch of checks after being hit by a car and in their right mind thought I was drunk. The staff also refused to release my collision report to my insurance company, and when I spoke to my lawyer, they said it is not true that they can't release the collision report and diagram to me. So, I have no idea what they are talking about. Also, your officers need to stop flirting and doing PDA in the library parking lot. We see your unprofessional behavior.

Parking is on the backside of these three buildings. Food trucks, vendors, egg drop by fire department & live band Touch of class were present. It was well worth attending this event despite the bright sun. They even held tours for the various buildings. Almost forgot but they had lion dancers there to ward off evil spirits & bring good luck to each of these 3 buildings. Similar to what they do for Chinese New Years! This was a fabulous community event enjoyed by many of the local people! Come see the brand new civic center if you're a local to Newark.

Perhaps the best part are the two very long community style tables with power strips down the middle. LOTS of outlets. There are also cubby style desks around the walls for extra quiet. And if privacy, silence is needed, I see there are also little study rooms available. They might require reservation so double check library website. This is great! And on a really hot day, it feels good to hide out at the library in the free A/C. Win win!

So cute, they offer a mini library card you can hang on your keychain. It's big, with two floors, and includes clean restrooms, meeting rooms for community events, a plant seed library, study rooms, a children's section, printers and computers, and a makerspace for 3D printing (must sign a waiver beforehand). Sometimes a book sale. It's not that fancy, with no cafe inside like other libraries have in the rich area. Most of the books are outdated from the 2010s; only a few novels are updated to the past few years. I wish they offered more up-to-date design books on topics like User Experience Design and AI, which I read as a refresher in multimedia design. You can borrow up to six books for over two weeks, and they automatically renew the next return date. I prefer to read three per month to be considerate. Scanning several books at the kiosk is easier and faster than a checkout line. They do have great access to free online resources such as audiobooks, music streaming, Hoopla Digital (Netflix dupe), and full access to magazines and newspapers without subscriptions. You can also use your library card to get free passes to certain museums and galleries across the Bay Area on Discover & Go. Sometimes they might have National Park passes to Yosemite, which you have to check with the library first around May. Plus, they offer free seminars like resume writing from Ohlone College, filing taxes, and family activities for kids. There's even a glasses donation box courtesy of the Lions Club International. Lots of parking in front with easy access to Lake Elizabeth, pickleball courts, and the Fremont Police Department. I also love that they provide a library locker near Irvington Community Park and Warm Spring Community Center, where you can pick up books that you reserved online with your library account, which is so convenient to walk to from home. You can drop your books in the return box next to the lockers. I don't have to drive to the main library to avoid silly children and encounter homeless people lying near the return box.

If you're not over 40, we didn't go there at the same time. lol I have fond memories of fremont from my youth, that include The Fremont Hub, NewPark mall, and a lot more...but it's very different today. I've noticed it's become less diverse and a lot different. Still a cool place to visit, not the hub of entertainment, but safe and quiet for the most part. It has a beautiful landscape as most cities in the bay that run along the foothills and bodies of water at the same time.

Advice: Nobody will help you on the phone so don't call!!! You'll wait for them to tell u to make an appointment a month later this has been my experience multiple times. I'd like to see some more life put into it beside the odd homeless sleeping on the porch. Maybe your getting new tires at Americas Best or perhaps your lady friend is digging through piles of junk at Ross and you'd rather hang out with the homeless here than watch her...
