We had a lovely wonderful time at Alameda Park Apartments. The manager Tameka, staff Juan and Petey are amazing! Fast, very helpful, professional, and very friendly. Always felt like they were watching out for us :) Our neighbors and community there were wonderful, so kind and friendly. A very family feel. The value there is top notch. APA is a gem of a place to live, we were there for at least 3 years. It is also walking distance to the beach, dock and many nearby parks. The weather is also great year round. And it is very safe and feels safe there too. We totally recommend APA to anyone. We moved to a larger space for our growing family. Definitely go check em out in person. Hope you find a wonderful place to live. :)

I have lived here for almost 6 years, seen it all! This is the worst complex ever to live in and I think that the manager is screwing the owner by increasing the attrition rate to make the highest number of commissions from turnovers - watch out, do not be a victim of the two faced office lady! 16 tenants have reached out within the past month cause they could not voice their concerns directly to the owner, therefore - I felt obligated to create this public Facebook group to give everyone voice, keep everyone accountable, and transparent. FB Group: Alameda Park Apartments Issues. https://www.facebook.com/groups/668787323721134/ I was able to draw a redline around the leasing office rude and disrespectful communications by video, voice, and text documentation that was shared with the owner's office and local authorities (I recommend you do the same) - and that's how I was able to keep 'her' yelling from her room on tenants night time, and throwing racial profiling comments away from me and my family until I couldn't take it anymore when I saw the intimidation and sadness on tenants faces. Fun fact: the couple nice reviews here are from tenants who have left this complex but still live in Alameda? Interesting - no? Maya Lin is across the street and my daughter was able to walk to school by herself as a kindergartener. And the proximity to San Francisco is great! Nice commute by bus or ferry. The apartment itself was just beautiful - I loved the thoughtful layout, light-filled rooms, and wooden floors. The storage is surprisingly good for the square footage, and we lucked out and had a dishwasher too. Our family made many happy memories here. We really enjoyed our neighbors. Folks are friendly and thoughtful, and there's a real sense of community. We exchanged phone numbers with many neighbors and helped each other out at various times with watching vacation mail and so on. We left our front door open our last night before we moved and some of our neighbors we've known for years dropped by to say goodbye. That said, if you want to just quietly do your thing, everyone will be respectful of that. I feel like the overall vibe is, "friendly introvert." Finally, the maintenance care was honestly amazing. The grounds are beautiful and always perfectly maintained, and Andrea quickly and helpfully dealt with any needs we had. There is a maintenance team that comes every Friday, so it's easy to get on the list to have anything looked at. We really appreciated the love and care given to keep everything so nice, and felt really grateful - especially since we lived in a well-priced, rent-controlled unit! Overall, if you're looking for a great location, safe, friendly, beautiful, and affordable (relative to the Bay Area) place to live in Alameda, and a small space works for you (~400-800 sq ft), I don't know that you could do any better!

There are storage units, parking spaces, & garages for an additional fee (street parking can be difficult here). There are washers & dryers onsite, and the landscaping is always kept up. The apartment manager Andrea was always professional, easy to get in contact with, and addressed any problems quickly. We feel lucky that we had such a positive experience with Andrea, as we realize that is not always the case with landlords & renting. We highly recommend Park Central Apartments to renters.

From the very beginning, Jessina and Cassandra went above and beyond. I shipped my car to Alameda a week before I arrived, and they allowed it to be delivered and safely parked at Aero. When I needed to pick it up on a day the office was closed, Armando was kind enough to let me in. That level of care truly reflects the people who make Aero so special. Jessina also helped me choose between two apartments by genuinely walking me through the pros and cons without ever making me feel pressured. I chose the studio with the view, and I am so glad I did...it was perfect for me, with an incredible view of the city. But what I will remember most about Aero is the sense of community. The staff know residents by name...and their dogs by name! They don't treat you like a business transaction; they treat you like a neighbor. As a woman living alone, I also felt incredibly safe there, and the secured parking was a huge plus. I only lived at Aero for four months, but somehow, in that short time, my neighbors became genuine friends. I knew their dogs, they knew mine, everyone welcomed my foster dogs, and when it was time for me to move, people came together to help me. That kind of community is rare. My time in Alameda could have been a difficult chapter because I was separated from my family, but Aero gave me a place that truly felt like home. I will always be grateful to Jessina, Cassandra, Armando, and the wonderful neighbors who made my short time there so special. If you are considering moving to Aero...especially sight unseen like I did...trust the 5 star reviews. It really is that special. Thank you Aero team...forever thankful for you guys!

Avoid Aero Apartments - Ongoing Harassment, Noise, and Management Negligence…read more If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I've lived at Aero Apartments for over a year, and it's been nothing but a nightmare of harassment, retaliation, and negligence. The management team, under Equity Residential, has repeatedly failed to enforce community policies and actively disregards tenant concerns -- especially when those concerns involve harassment or discrimination. Here's what you should know before moving in: Chronic Noise Issues I've filed multiple formal complaints about my upstairs neighbor who stomps, slams, and creates constant disruptive noise -- day and night. Despite months of reporting this issue, management has done absolutely nothing. No warnings. No follow-up. No enforcement of quiet hours. My sleep and peace of mind have been destroyed -- and they simply don't care. Retaliation for Complaining After speaking up about the noise and other valid concerns, management retaliated by issuing me a baseless lease violation without evidence -- while allowing the actual violators to continue unbothered. It was clearly an intimidation tactic meant to silence me. I've since filed a formal complaint with the California Civil Rights Department due to their behavior. Privacy Violations There were multiple unauthorized entries into my unit without notice or consent. When I asked for clarification, management gaslit the situation and refused to take any accountability. They ca Lack of Accountability from Corporate I escalated the issue to Equity Residential leadership -- including the CEO -- and received nothing but a dismissive legal response denying all wrongdoing. I was even told to stop contacting them, a clear sign they have no intention of protecting their residents. Poor Communication & Unprofessionalism Trying to get a straight answer or resolution from the leasing office is nearly impossible. They rely on scripted responses and avoidance tactics. They'll claim they've "investigated," but will provide no documentation or updates. It's clear they protect certain tenants and retaliate against the ones who speak up. Harassing After-Hours Messages To make matters worse, management has sent me aggressive and retaliatory text messages after hours and on weekends -- sometimes late at night -- in response to my complaints. This is highly unprofessional and creates a hostile living environment. No tenant should be subjected to communication outside business hours about issues management is failing to address. Amenities You Pay for That Don't Work: Washer broken for the past 18 months Broken sliding door Broken fireplace BBQ grill that hasn't worked in months Front entrance doors were broken for 3 months -- residents were locked out of their own homes Stomping from upstairs neighbors without repercussion "Free" guest parking if you're friends with management -- otherwise, $200/month Bottom line: Aero Apartments is not a safe or peaceful place to live. The building may look nice on the outside, but behind closed doors it's full of discrimination, retaliation, and mismanagement. The staff gaslights and targets tenants instead of helping them. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you value your sanity, privacy, and dignity -- look elsewhere.

And when you submit your complaints, nothing happens. We expected a good community environment and instead walk outside to the smell of homeless people doing God knows what in the bushes because we're conveniently located right next to a halfway home/rehab center. The only redeeming quality about this place is the maintenance people who probably don't get paid enough for the bs they have to deal with. I observed one of the workers kick a group of teens out that hopped the fence and he definitely deserves a raise for that. Do yourself a favor and stay away unless you wanna get rinsed on your rent for a community pool where literally everyone is welcome (resident or not) and subpar management. Counting down the days until our lease is up.

Mellie is the sweetest. My two kitties and I thoroughly loved the apartment and the clean, well kept complex. The pool is great and not dirty at all like in some complexes. The weather is fantastic and I would leave my sliding glass door to my balcony open most of the year. The apartment has no dishwasher or washer dryer, but there are updated laundry rooms that were just renovated and I had a portable dishwasher on my counter that suited me fine. I moved to Redwood City to be closer to work (commuting is the worst) but leaving this complex is one of the hardest decisions ever. I will say that if you have pets, prepare for some big fees upon move out ($350 typical fee to flea bomb the apartment). But this was the only thing the property manager charged me for when I was preparing to be charged for much more than that. Bottom line--this is a very special complex with wonderful people and in a safe location in Alameda.
