Avoid Aero Apartments - Ongoing Harassment, Noise, and Management Negligence…read more If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I've lived at Aero Apartments for over a year, and it's been nothing but a nightmare of harassment, retaliation, and negligence. The management team, under Equity Residential, has repeatedly failed to enforce community policies and actively disregards tenant concerns -- especially when those concerns involve harassment or discrimination. Here's what you should know before moving in: Chronic Noise Issues I've filed multiple formal complaints about my upstairs neighbor who stomps, slams, and creates constant disruptive noise -- day and night. Despite months of reporting this issue, management has done absolutely nothing. No warnings. No follow-up. No enforcement of quiet hours. My sleep and peace of mind have been destroyed -- and they simply don't care. Retaliation for Complaining After speaking up about the noise and other valid concerns, management retaliated by issuing me a baseless lease violation without evidence -- while allowing the actual violators to continue unbothered. It was clearly an intimidation tactic meant to silence me. I've since filed a formal complaint with the California Civil Rights Department due to their behavior. Privacy Violations There were multiple unauthorized entries into my unit without notice or consent. When I asked for clarification, management gaslit the situation and refused to take any accountability. They ca Lack of Accountability from Corporate I escalated the issue to Equity Residential leadership -- including the CEO -- and received nothing but a dismissive legal response denying all wrongdoing. I was even told to stop contacting them, a clear sign they have no intention of protecting their residents. Poor Communication & Unprofessionalism Trying to get a straight answer or resolution from the leasing office is nearly impossible. They rely on scripted responses and avoidance tactics. They'll claim they've "investigated," but will provide no documentation or updates. It's clear they protect certain tenants and retaliate against the ones who speak up. Harassing After-Hours Messages To make matters worse, management has sent me aggressive and retaliatory text messages after hours and on weekends -- sometimes late at night -- in response to my complaints. This is highly unprofessional and creates a hostile living environment. No tenant should be subjected to communication outside business hours about issues management is failing to address. Amenities You Pay for That Don't Work: Washer broken for the past 18 months Broken sliding door Broken fireplace BBQ grill that hasn't worked in months Front entrance doors were broken for 3 months -- residents were locked out of their own homes Stomping from upstairs neighbors without repercussion "Free" guest parking if you're friends with management -- otherwise, $200/month Bottom line: Aero Apartments is not a safe or peaceful place to live. The building may look nice on the outside, but behind closed doors it's full of discrimination, retaliation, and mismanagement. The staff gaslights and targets tenants instead of helping them. I would never recommend this place to anyone. If you value your sanity, privacy, and dignity -- look elsewhere.

From the very beginning, she was professional, welcoming, and extremely helpful throughout the entire process. She took the time to show us four different available apartments so we could truly compare and choose the one that felt right for us. We never felt rushed or pressured -- she made sure we were comfortable and had all the information we needed to make the best decision. My wife instantly fell in love with one of the units. The walls had such a clean, modern look, and the upgraded appliances really made the space stand out. You could tell the apartment was well cared for and thoughtfully updated. For someone living in Alameda, she offered us a great deal that we honestly couldn't say no to. The value for the quality of the apartment was outstanding. We were so excited that we applied right away. The great news is that there are still some apartments available, so if you're considering moving to the area, I highly recommend reaching out. If you're looking for a smooth, professional, and genuinely positive apartment application experience at Alameda Park Apartments, Ms. Pandoria Pugh is the person you want to work with. And hey -- if you decide to live here and end up being our neighbor, make sure to add me as a referral haha! We're incredibly grateful for the experience and can't wait to move

From the application process through move-in, Pandora, the property manager, showed care, kindness, and patience, qualities that have continued every day since. What stands out most is how much pride Pandora takes in the property. She treats it as if it were her own backyard, keeping the grounds spotless, safe, and welcoming. The laundry and pool areas are always well maintained, and she communicates regularly with tenants to make sure we're informed. Beyond her professionalism, Pandora is simply a kind and genuine person. She is always polite and friendly with tenants, delivery drivers, and visitors alike. The atmosphere here reflects that energy, tenants are neighborly, and the community feels positive. After years of apartment living, I can confidently say that Pandora is rare in this industry, and I feel lucky to have found this place.

She stayed after hours just to help finalize our move in. We were so grateful. We are loving our living space right here in Alameda. A backyard for dogs in the Bay Area is special! Been living here for almost a year and it's NOT worth the insane rent they charge. $5k/month is too…read moremuch for what we deal with here. Random non-residents breaking in to use the pool/jacuzzi almost daily throwing parties and blasting music til well past "quiet hours". The app that management makes residents use is censored. The minute you say anything negative about any experience you have here to try and warn your neighbors, they delete your post with a message saying "please submit complaints directly to management for review." And when you submit your complaints, nothing happens. We expected a good community environment and instead walk outside to the smell of homeless people doing God knows what in the bushes because we're conveniently located right next to a halfway home/rehab center. The only redeeming quality about this place is the maintenance people who probably don't get paid enough for the bs they have to deal with. I observed one of the workers kick a group of teens out that hopped the fence and he definitely deserves a raise for that. Do yourself a favor and stay away unless you wanna get rinsed on your rent for a community pool where literally everyone is welcome (resident or not) and subpar management. Counting down the days until our lease is up.

The staff is fabulous with an extra shout out to Leo who handles the maintenance. He is so hardworking and friendly and even tried to teach me Spanish Mia works in the office and lives onsite with her puppy Mellie, so if you get a chance to stop by and just chat, do it. Mellie is the sweetest. My two kitties and I thoroughly loved the apartment and the clean, well kept complex. The pool is great and not dirty at all like in some complexes. The weather is fantastic and I would leave my sliding glass door to my balcony open most of the year. The apartment has no dishwasher or washer dryer, but there are updated laundry rooms that were just renovated and I had a portable dishwasher on my counter that suited me fine. I moved to Redwood City to be closer to work (commuting is the worst) but leaving this complex is one of the hardest decisions ever. I will say that if you have pets, prepare for some big fees upon move out ($350 typical fee to flea bomb the apartment). But this was the only thing the property manager charged me for when I was preparing to be charged for much more than that. Bottom line--this is a very special complex with wonderful people and in a safe location in Alameda. I would definitely rent here again and recommend it to anyone looking for an apartment in this area. Miss you Franciscan Apartments! And hola Leo haha!

I have always loved this place and the 5 years I spent here were some of the best! But the current property manager(Samantha) and maintenance manger(Brian) far exceed my very high expectations (I know....but I cant help it!)... I was met with hugs form both when I came in the front door, and as we walked the property it truly felt like coming home... Everything about this place is exceptional, the location..across the street from the beach, next door to the shopping center, bowling alley...and bay trail. Every detail of this property has been thought out and is perfection, the updates Samantha and team have made are stunning, from the club house to the lobby, and even the pool area! Being in hospitality management for the past 30 years, the one thing you wish you could teach people is how to love what they do, and to be passionate, however this is up to the individual... it is clear from my interactions and the condition of the property that the tower team under Samantha's leadership not only love what they do, but are proud of their property. Cheers to you!
