We saw an advert in the local free paper asking for child models to take part in an Angel…read moreexhibition. When I rang they took our details and arranged an appointment for us. I must have rang a few times before I got through. The man (I later found out was Les Pringle) explained that they don't open until 10am. The studio is upstairs and is very weel light with a huge window to allow natural light in. The flooring is wooden floors so wasn't very good on my little ones bare feet. Sandy did the shoot and she was extremely patient with my then 3 year old. She positioned my daughter as it wass easier than explaining to a 3 year old what to do. She talked to her about things that interested her and made her feel comfortable. Which was brill as she is a shy little girl. The photos were amazing. As we were supplying the model they allowed us to buy the photographs at a reduced price. The are dearer than pixi photos, but well worth it. The quality of the actual picture is fantastic. We have since had a family sitting with them. And were again really pleased with the outcome. On the family sitting our 1 year old kept crying and wouldn't sit still. Les and Sandy arranged for us to go in another day free of charge so that we could finish off. We didn't expect or ask them to. There is no pressure to buy the photos, but once you see them you'll be handing your money over. There is no parking outside, but you can park in the multi storey car park above Marks and Spencers and walk round.

We live in Canada and had to organize everything with him via email, which was very easy with his in-depth checklist that he provided us. We showed up in York, England and hoped for the best. And we feel we got the best. The photos were beautiful. We had a general idea of what we wanted, and were impressed with his ability to think on his feet while we were walking around and find other beautiful shots we never would have thought of! We loved all the candid photographs he took that we had no idea about! While the groom and best man were being photographed, my maid of honour and I would be chatting and laughing... not even realizing he was photographing us every so often in between his shots of the guys! He walked through the reception area where people were milling about before dinner so unobtrusively that he was able to take so many wonderful candid shots without anyone feeling like they were being stalked by a photographer! He just blended in and truly captured the essence of the day! Turn around time was very fast, as well! The photos were ready before we even got back to Canada from our honeymoon! Would definitely recommend Andrew Davies as a wedding photographer!

We loved the fact that they were more than happy for us to suggest what types of photos we had in mind and also used their photographers-eye to take some truly beautiful shots that had never even crossed our minds taking a mixture of formal, posed and reportage-style shots. They are really lovely people who put us at our ease on what could have been quite a stressful day, made sure that the day wasn't all about spending hours taking photos and have left us with masses of gorgeous photos that capture the day perfectly - our only problem now is narrowing down the selection for our album as we are so spoilt for choice. Didn't have time to check hair etc before shoot (in fact didn't see a mirror there to do that even if you had time ?), so we all had messy hair in the pictures (it was a bit windy outside). The pictures came out ok, but I think it's very important that people get the chance to see how they look before getting their picture taken. One of our group didn't like any of the photos at all, as her hair was very messy. 2. We weren't asked what style of photo we like, and they were all posed photos. We wanted more natural ones. We thought the natural ones would be taken after the posed ones, but we had the posed ones taken then were told the session was over. My overall impression was that the owner possibly doesn't enjoy doing her job as much as she used to ? For our family it just felt like a factory production line. For us asking the customer what they want, making sure they are happy with how they look before the session starts, and giving them the advertised amount of time are all important in a photo shoot.

From the very beginning, Sean was very welcoming, and listened to exactly what we wanted, every meeting we had was very professional, and he always had time for us. On the wedding day itself, Sean was very enthusiastic, and always had an eye for detail in every situation. He turned up at my parent's house early in the morning and started photographing very special moments of myself and bridesmaid's getting ready. The outcome of the photograph's were amazing, they really captured the emotion of the day. The quality of his work did not lapse throughout the day, from the church ceremony to the evening reception; everything was approached with a subtle mix of a traditional and contemporary style. If you put your trust in Sean, he will deliver the most amazing photographs. We are both thrilled with the final products, the DVD slideshow set to music, was done with so much thought, and we can't wait to get our albums. We can't recommend Sean Elliott Photography enough!
