I hate the question below that asks if the gallery is good for kids because my answer is not yes or no. My answer is "yes" I think it is good to expose children to fine art, and this gallery in particular has very interesting prints by the masters. The question should be: t do I think the gallery or the children would appreciate their presence at the gallery? My answer would then be no. I think unless your child is exceptionally bright they would not appreciate what they are looking at and would probably be rather bored, and bored children tend to be rather loud, and loud children are definitely not appreciated by the gallery.
The gallery does not sell originals but rather produces and sells limited edition prints. This gallery is all about the business and not so much the art. Their media that they are the largest reproducers in Europe of includes etching, lithography, silkscreen, cast bronze, digital animation, photography, lightbox, inkjet and lenticular. I suppose since there really is only one original then we will just have to live with limited edition prints although I don't happen to be a fan. The owner has been dealing in this area for over 30 years and has been at Cork Street for 13 of them. Each exhibition lasts about one month so be sure to mark your diaries if you want to catch a certain collection. read more
