Stay as far away from this office as you can. I was bringing my busy 16 year old son to see Dr. Rosenbach for rosacea. We arrived 15 minutes late because there was not a single parking spot in the lot and we had to wait for one to open up. When we got into the office, he refused to see my son! In 48 years of seeing doctors and having reservations and attending appointments, this has never happened. I understand giving a warning for next time or telling us that you're doing us a favor to squeeze us in just this once, but sending us both away shows the lack of care and value he has for his patients. Thank you Dr. Rosenbach!! My very first visit with you and...there may be a solution or a reason why I have had this chronic itchy rash on my head for over year and 1/2. Suggested I see a Rheumatologist, Dr. Kretzmann. Dr. R., gave me a game plan with medication and to see him in a month and encouraged to reach out to Dr.. K. Before I left the building...scheduled an appt with Dr. K... Dr.Rosenbach was spot on with what he thought was going on..the rash was just many of little signs pointing to Psoartic Arthritis...along with swollen ankles, Hands hurting, stomach issues... BOTCHED BOTOX!!! See PHOTOS!!! Dr Rosenbach Over injected my under eye area and severely messed up my lymphatic drainage under my eyes. I went in for my first visit with DR Rosenbach. I let him know it was my second time EVER to have Botox and I just wanted to look age appropriate and only have a little refresh! Brow lift, crows feet. He pushed me so hard to have DYSPORT instead of Botox. He drew out a map for 100 units, I was in shock! I expressed my concern with how many units and he told me not to worry that it was just diluted Botox. 3-1 ratio. His nurse quoted me $700 for dysport. And when I asked what my Botox feee would be she told me 1200!!! Which I thought was crazy, now looking back I realize she misquoted me on Botox, and that's the only reason I chose dysport. She should have asked to dr how many units do botox instead of dysport. when I went to pay they actually charged me 800!!! And the nurse at the desk said well if you had got 101 units it would have been 700. Wtf?!?! Two days after being injected my eyes started swelling and sagging!!!! I began to have folds in my under eye area. I have never had this in my life! Extra saggy skin!! Under eye bags, lines coming from the corner of my eyes and saggy folding skin. At night I'd begin to have bags almost on top of my cheek bones! By day 6 it was even worse! I went into the office for a follow up appointment, I was hysterical. Dr Rosenbach response was Oh MY GOD! At this point my forehead was completely frozen also, I had absolutely no movement. He told me I should cancel my meetings, try to make as little facial expressions as possible, and my only luck would be to try and metabolize it. He told me I'm sorry your 1-1000 I think your body over reacted. Instead of telling me he over injected me, he shifted the blame on to me. I have called multiple times asking for a refund. His office manager Sonya has only followed up when I have called. No one has bothered to reach out to me, follow up and see how I was doing. Now after almost 3 months, working out constantly, consistent lymphatic drainage massages, jumping on a rebounder every single morning to get my lymphatic system to work and drinking every metabolism tea I can find....it is fading and my eyes are starting to look better. THANK GOD! But of course now they want me to come in for a follow up to approve my refund! I did not pay $800 to look the way I have for 3 months. I paid to look refreshed and instead Dr Rosenbach made me Look older and completely changed my eye shape. He collapsed the sides of my eyes so much that it gave me these folds on my inner eyes. Who would have ever thought I would get my lips done as I am terrified of needles? I can honestly say that It was an easy and smooth process with the least pain possible. I highly recommend Dr. Rosenbach and his staff. It may take some time to get an appointment as the Dr is in high demand, but it's worth the wait. Everybody there from the front desk, nurses and especially Dr. Rosenbach are friendly, kind and professional. Even though I live an hour away it is worth it to come here. I won't go anywhere else for my dermatology needs. I've been seeing Dr.Rosenbach for years. Even after I moved out of Los Angeles to San Diego I still drive up once a year for my skin check! He's the only one with the video microscope technology which captures suspicious moles on camera and compares and contrasts year after year if they change. Without a doubt, the best dermatologist I've seen in Los Angeles. He is so kind, so smart, and so insightful. I love this dude. He also handles going through big things like Accutane treatment in an intelligent way. I do have to warn you. He is a busy man with many patients. Show up early. If you hit a traffic snarl and get there 30 minutes late, expect to be turned away. But, he's not wrong. Plan your day. Plan your trip. Get there in advance of time. Been taking my kids to various dermatologists and specialists over the years and I have to say, we finally found our home here. As a parent it is so frustrating when doctors can't figure out what's going on with your kids skin issues. For years. Over a decade even. So you believe them and just maintain and hold strong while your kids grow up into teens and suffer. That's life, right? Growing up, I've always struggled with my eczema, acne, and allergies. I thought dermatologists only dealt with things like botox or pimples, so I never really thought I needed one. Alan is the best! But this updated review is for the new woman who does NOT know what she's doing! I'm an esthetician who refers so many clients to Alan because he genuinely cares for his patients, and after this last interaction it saddens me I don't feel comfortable to do so. I sent a client and she wasn't able to see Alan so she was referred to another Dr. My client said she didn't even ask her to take the mask off to look at her skin!!! How do you plan to help someone if you don't even look at their skin and spend 10 minutes but you write a accutane prescription. Sadly after 4-6 weeks my client skin has gotten worse and she told her they would "try" something else after she takes it for two more weeks. I was so upset I called the office and basically told the front staff she shouldn't even be working under or along side Alan. She leaves my Client a voicemail saying she got a disturbing call. I never called you lady, if I did call you I would have more to say, trust me. You need to get more educated on patient care , and maybe take a gut health course or refer client to a gut health internal specialist !!!! read more

I met with Dr. Rosenbach for a hives rash that had spread all over my arms. I probably was in the office for 15 minutes and spoke to him directly for less than 5. He prescribed a steroidal cream that was basically hydrocortisone cream (which didn't help my hives), and didn't give me any answers/theories as to what caused it. I was told they would schedule a follow-up appointment, but never did, which I thought was strange. I was billed $165 over a 3 month period for that "consultation", that lasted 4 minutes. If you have cash to throw away, he's very nice. Otherwise, make sure you have stellar insurance before visiting. read more

Experienced, knowledgeable, and empathetic health care professionals are hard to come by these days, but Samantha Zarling is one such professional and I am so happy to have found her through Dr. Rosenbach's office. I'd initially gone in thinking I'd be having a routine appointment for some minor skin discoloration only to learn that I had developed an autoimmune condition that needed regular treatment. Ms. Zarling handled every aspect of that meeting with grace and care, trying to focus on the things that mattered and give me hope for being able to recover my body upon seeing how shocked I was by the diagnosis. I required a prescription that needed insurance authorization and she managed each step of that process with diligence, and even called to follow-up with me to ask if I'd received the medication and had any questions. I'd never had a health care professional follow-up for such a reason and realized how much of a difference it makes knowing your health team actually CARES about you beyond the time you are physically in their office. Each subsequent appointment with her, was handled with the same dedication and care, as I needed to get several painful injections and she made the process easier. Her medical knowledge and standard of care is no less than that of the finest doctors in the country, as she would inform me of the latest treatment options and I could tell that she had thought about my case beyond her direct time with me and was invested in my recovery as much as I was. At a point when I had undergone a treatment with a doctor in Asia that had left me with burns all over my body, Ms. Zarling was the person I trusted to handle the care of that new issue, and she again demonstrated that she is superior to any others I've dealt with. If all health care practitioners had Ms. Zarling's knowledge, compassion, empathy, and standard of care, the entire process of medicine would be so different. Transformed my skin, first off and has the best, and i mean BEST equipment to track mole changes and makes that whole process super easy and affordable. There is no excess cutting needed and each mole is photographed and stored for further evaluation as the years progress. Not only that, but he is super friendly, knowledgeable about everything and won't try to sell you on any treatment he doesn't think you need. I have been harassed by this office for over a year about a bill that they made a mistake on. I have spent too much of my time going in circles with this office to get it sorted out. This time I've reached my limit. The billing manager Celina was terribly rude. I tried to explain to her the trouble I've been having and all I got was more of the same. She talked over me repeatedly and tried to tell me I was being rude for trying to complete a sentence. What do they call it, "gaslighting?" Their tactic is to delay, delay until you give up and just pay to make them go away. It's a ridiculous tactic, because they would have made more money off me by keeping me as a patient! The Physician Assistant Samantha Zarling is the best! When I first called to make an appointment with Dr. Rosenbach the wait was 2 months, so they recommended Samantha -- and I couldn't be happier! I came in about acne and decided to get on Accutane -- I was concerned about the side effects and the conflicting information on the internet, but she walked me through everything and answered all my questions. She was extremely knowledgable about all the up-to-date research and studies on Accutane, and was so patient and understanding with all of my questions. She helped me get the medication through insurance(originally it wasn't covered), and worked to find a treatment schedule that worked for me. I always felt like I was in great hands. If I can give this review a 0 star review I would. ... I called to make an appointment to just see the dermatologist for a general appointment and the only thing he had available was over a month out. I thought ok hey it's not an emergency I'll wait. I never got a a single phone call for a reminder for my appointment and when I made the appointment initially the receptionist didn't ask me any questions about insurance or anything ...After waiting a whole month for my appointment and booking a babysitter to babysit my kids so I can go to my appointment the receptionist asked for my insurance and looks at it and tells me since it's not through my employer I have to pay out of pocket $260. This was extremely frustrating because no one told me anything about This information when I initially made my appointment as a new patient when the receptionist knew that this was my first time coming to the office. I understand that this is their policy however they should've been more informative especially for a new patient coming to the office and their insurance policy. Apparently they do accept blue shield Which is what I have but since it is not from a "emplyoyer" it's $260. ... walked straight out of the office and it was such a waste of time and money for me read more

If you have acne problems, do NOT go to Dr. Rosenbach. He prescribed a steroid (fluocinonide) for my minor acne, which made it much worse. After researching this steroid online, I found many dermatology sites cautioning against its use for acne. Unlike the minor pimples I had before, some of the deep cysts where I used the cream will probably leave scars - which I'm sure he would be all to happy to repair with expensive laser treatment. Had I not done this research, I can only imagine how many more visits and problems I would have. Furthermore, I made the appointment saying I wanted to look into suspected food sensitivities and possibly do allergy tests. I was assured that this would be possible. Dr. Rosenbach was almost an hour late for my appointment, and (while very pleasant) spend just a few (less than 10) minutes with me. Said that any concerns I had about allergies weren't worth addressing and wrote prescriptions instead. read more

I started going to Dr. Rosenbach about a year ago, when my mother got diagnosed with skin cancer. I was recommended by my GP and it was probably the best thing he has ever done for me. I went in for a full body check and ended up coming out of there with free samples for my face! I have had bad skin since my teens and nothing ever worked. I was under the impression that a dermatologist was too expensive so I suffered for years. After my full body check he did a free consultation for my face. He was very easy to talk to and listened to all my concerns about my face and understood my money concerns. He recommended facial products and lasers, that my insurance would cover, to help with my skin problems. He is very knowledgeable, personable and caring. He seems to really care about you and helping with all of your skin concerns than just money. I go every month for laser treatments and once a year for a full body check. If you're looking to get rid of unwanted hair Dr. Rosenbach' office is the best laser place in town period! I first went to him 15 years ago and in two visits got perfect hairless arms, legs, pits and bikini that have endured all this time. I am always amazed when I think about it because I had a lot of hair to start with and didn't expect it to work so well after just two treatments. It's been such a joy to have smooth hair-free skin everywhere for so many years (my husband always remarks how my armpits look like a kid's they're so pretty and how do I do it :) I only did my bikini area once though - we're talking full playboy with just a landing strip left - so not all the hair went and through the years I'd have my dermatologists hit the spot whenever I'd be there for a facial etc. Hair kept growing back and I don't know what weak settings they used to keep you coming back but I got fed up and finally found Dr. Rosenbach again. Luckily he hadn't moved! I went back two weeks ago and the bikini is baby bottom smooth and here to stay. Reunited and it feels so good! Unprofessional and offensive. I called my lawyers. I went in for revlight laser and specified, as always, not to touch the forehead at all as it drops my botox. she had a lapse of memory and forgot. It dropped my lids so have droopy lids within 24 hours. This is a real bummer ass it completely ages me ( who wants that result?:-) but I like the lady doing it and so i called and said just refund the next one and I'll absorb the cost of the new botox I now need ( which cost me 4x the price of the laser at my other derm.) . I would take the hit and not a big deal . The most offensive, unprofessional and deeply unintelligent Sonia ( who missed her calling a s truck driver with that mouth) comes on the phone and accuses me of wanting free botox ( fyi- I never do botox with Rosenbach bc Dr Ourian is better for my brows for whatever reason) and she demands I show medical proof that lasers drops it (!!) Whaaaat ? She further said Rosenbach - who hadn't even seen the new droopy lids was not going to reimburse me. What kind of doctor doesn't even see the patient they failed? It's so wrong that I almost questioned her sanity. I was so insulted by her false accusations and provocations ( is it possible to insist you are not reimbursing a patient for the screw up on their face without even seeing them ? The mind boggles. . I had paid for face laser with NO forehead specified for a good reason. They did not deliver that . Most places would apologise to a longstanding client who was being nice to begin with. They screwed up my service, gave me droopy brows, wasted a lot of my time, cost me 1200 dollars and then I have nutcase Sonia on the phone who needs a major attitude adjustment.. She actually hung up on e when I asked her to apologise for her insults ( lies?). My other doctor said no lasers on forehead and I clearly specified that - so the professional thing to do is admit you failed , apologise and all would be good. This was so unnecessary and hurtful. Simply the best dermatologist around. I started going to see Dr. Rosenbach when I was getting ready for my wedding a few years ago. Of course I wanted my skin to have that radiant glow on my wedding day, what bride doesn't? So I went to see him and he prescribed a regimen of nightly at home treatments plus photofacials and of some very needed hair removal sessions and all I can say is thank God I found such a great dermatologist. Since my wedding I have continued to be a patient at Dr. Rosenbach's office, I love him and his staff. I have now started to have a few tiny cosmetic procedures done that I absolutely love as well. I don't know where I'd be had I never been introduced to Botox. Dr. Rosenbach always does an excellent job of keeping me looking natural and not going overboard. I've been a patient of Dr. Rosenbach for 10 years now and he's treated me for everything from acne to melasma to wrinkles. I recently got Dysport and Restylane for the first time. I'm still a bit puffy, so everything needs to settle in, but I am already happy with the emerging results. I think he has a great bedside manner and appreciate that he is adamantly conservative about the fillers and Dysport/Botox and won't turn you into a freak (like the thousands of women in this town who've done too much). I was the patient of this doctor for 5 years. I was coming to his office once a year for the checkup. I should wait for 3-5 months to see him because he doesn't see so many patients for the checkups. Last time I came to his office and had absolutely awful experience, which I would like to share. My appointment was at 8:15 AM, I wanted to be the first patient and be able to finish my appointment before work. I live across the street from the office, maybe it takes me 5 minutes to get there. I looked at the watch when I left the house, it was 8:08 AM. When I came to the office they asked me for my insurance card and I was told to wait. The doctor Rosenbach came to the office at 8:30 AM. Maybe 10 min after that the receptionist, who wasn't nice at all, gave me the stack of paper to fill. I told her that I am the patient of this office for a while, and filled all the papers before. She said they are updating the information, and I have to fill all of the forms again. It took me 20 more minutes to do. I asked her why she didn't give it to me right away, while the doctor was not in the office, and she told me in a not nice manner, that she was busy. Finally, I was taken to see the doctor at about 9:00 AM. The doctor checked me pretty fast and told me that he is giving me a gift, he is not going to charge me for this appointment. I was very surprised and asked him why. This is the answer I received: "You are coming for the checkup, insurance pays me almost nothing for this visit, I don't want to waste my time on the patients like you, instead I can see someone for the cosmetic procedure and make 5 times as much money. Also, you came late for your appointment, and my receptionist doesn't like you". (Btw, I did Botox with him once, paid $500, and didn't get any results. I basically paid $500 for nothing. A month later I went to another doctor, cosmetic surgeon, who knows what he is doing, to do it again, and paid $400 more). I told dr. Rosenbach, his receptionist was very rude and it's not acceptable for the receptionist to behave this way. His reply was: "I am not going to look for a new receptionist, I want her to be happy, so I want you to look for another dermatologist". It was very humiliating. It is impossible now to find the dermatologist who wants to do regular dermatology. Why bother, if they can do the cosmetic procedures and make much more money. It is extremely disappointing that dermatologists are allowed to do the cosmetic work, and don't want to provide the dermatology services anymore. We have cosmetic doctors for it. And believe me, they are much better equipt for these kinds of procedures. The last drop was receiving the bill for this unforgettable experience, and I was told by the doctor that this appointment is free. I wish there were disciplinary actions against doctors like dr.Rosenbach. He thinks because he went to medical school, he can treat people like that? Dr. Rosenbach and his team are amazing. I found him after complimenting 3 random women on their skin and fillers - all three said "Alan Rosenbach was their doctor" and I knew I had found the doctor for me. He has an amazing eye for detail and he doesn't "overfill" or sell you on procedures you don't need. I love that about him. He told me I didn't need my lips filled and after I insisted, he told me, "I will give you the lips you had in 2009, I am not going to do to0 much." I am THRILLED!!! I am 49 and my skin has never looked better thanks to Gail and the lasers at Dr. Rosenbach's office. I don't want to neglect to mention he is also very skilled with more important aspects than cosmetics. He helped me with other more serious skin issues as well. I am grateful I have a doctor who is gifted in many areas. The front office is amazing too. Several times they have fit me in when I was leaving town.
