I have been a patient of Dr. Alan Weiss for the last 10 years. I am a sailing coach and a boat Captain, so I always worry about sink cancer. The first time I had a growth on my nose, it was a mole and not much of a beauty mark. Dr. Weiss took care of all my concerns before and after the procedure. I have been experiencing neck n shoulder discomfort for years due to large chest. I finally decided to take action and look for a Surgeon that could help me as well as accept my insurance. Dr Alan Weiss, I want to thank you for your skill as a surgeon , your tenacity in leaving no stone unturned, your professionalism in telling it as-it-is & your experience which probably saved my life! I firmly believe that 2-months ago, by Gods mercy & love, you were shown the large 1" plus diameter mole that I've had all of my life. You asked a few questions and offered suggestions if changes to the mole occurred in the future. Then, within a week my mole changed and an ulcer formed in its center. I decided to have you look at it professionally & after you biopsied it, it was found to be malignant (cancer). You suggested to me and put me in contact with a great oncology team. And together you presented its review with the team & spearheaded its removal. You preemptively contacted my insurance once the biopsy showed malignant and paved the way for an expeditious removal. I cannot say enough positive praise for Dr. Weiss. I had 35 year old silicone implants from when I was 21 years old. I remember quite vividly the first surgery and how hard that recovery was for me. Both of my breasts were hard and painful to the touch and I knew it was medically necessary to remove those leaking implants as soon as possible. Dr. Weiss is direct, knowledgeable and intelligent; he had examined me, sent me for a sonogram, and scheduled me for surgery within a month of first contact. He devised a "medical procedure " for a less painful recovery for his patients. I can tell you, it made a huge difference for me. I couldn't even get up and out of bed by myself after the first surgery in 1990. Now, in 2026 with Dr. Weiss, it was a breeze. I slept at a 45* angle with an orthopedic back support and I was moving around on the first day!! I didn't feel like I had an elephant sitting on my chest. Dr. Weiss is excellent in his field of plastic surgery ! He was kind and compassionate. It started with him calling back within twenty minutes of me leaving that first message on a Friday. He scheduled me for the following Tuesday for a consult. He made arrangements for me right then and there for the following Monday morning to remove a lesion from my nose at the hospital.I was greeted that Monday with a smile , and I felt extremely confident that this was the right decision. We decided to have me put under because of my anxiety , and he reassured me that everything would be okay. He took very good care of me , explaining everything to a T . I was at total ease ! Dr. Weiss was my plastic surgeon for breast implants in 2002. Twenty three years later, one implant ruptured, causing me to reach out to him once again for repair surgery. He remembered me as a patient and still had my file. That was an incredible feeling. I had surgery this summer to remove and replace the old implants. Dr Weiss was wonderful. Dr. Alan performed my carpal tunnel surgery on both hands way back in 2008. Well, here we are all these years later and new issues have come up. I am working with several specialists and just had a NCS and EMG done showing rare findings on the carpal tunnel. The surgery he performed was invented BY HIM and it had just come out. The EMG I had done show the median nerve is still unaffected since the surgery! It was a miracle what he did to me. I was instantly pain-free (aside from the surgical pain) and begged to have the second one done ASAP. 2 months later, he obliged and I was ecstatic. Then I have decided to do a procedure with him. I am very pleased with the drastic improvement of my skin for a good price.
