Purchased the three session voucher for $239 / $167.39 on sale of sorts. My gf called yesterday and was told they are only honoring the single session not the three. So I called today and the desk rep said the manager was busy with a client but I could hear her whispering in the background. I was told the 3 session package is not available and she would call me back when she is finished. Oddly she called me right back in a minute flat so she wasn't busy. Tried to ask when I came in and when did I buy it. Beating around the bush like I've seen other vendors on here do when the deal costs them MONEY$$$. I told her she's not allowing me to use the 3 session not that its not available. Because the same voucher is online right now and able to be purchased. I have submitted a screenshot down below. She made it seem like it was a mistake citing she's got to call Groupon which is another excuse past vendors have used when the Groupon is going to cost them TOO MUCH MONEY$$$. *Spoiler Alert* My review is lengthy, so you've been forewarned... My surgical procedure was done by Dr. Markmann in January 2022. It went well and I am 95% happy with my results. However, it's my other experiences with his practice that left me feeling otherwise. His patient coordinator at that time "Ashley" was unpleasant to deal with. I asked her a question in an email and her response: "Read the email". She was short and curt during discussions. I felt like I was annoying her with any questions I had. Thankfully, she quit before they could fire her. Jennifer Harvey replaced her and was much more pleasant, but she was not good with follow up. I emailed and left voice messages repeatedly regarding a question I had for Dr. Markmann. I even spoke with her personally and expressed my concerns about lack of follow up. She was apologetic but to this day never followed up. Due to COVID and lack of hospital beds my post care had to be at home so I needed an overnight nurse. They referred me to Elizabeth Cooley Services whose Sr. Patient Coordinator Ms. Sassey had a nasty attitude, was rude, abrupt and overtalked me. I refused to deal with Cooley's business and found a nurse through personal friends. At that time, Markmann's office was in dire need of home care bedside nurses.  Markmann was impressed with my personal nurse so they asked me to see if she would be interested in on call work with them.  I told them I would let her know. I think maybe 1 or 2 days passed and they took it upon themselves to contact my home nurse directly that I went through cartwheels to find! They offered her an on call job which she wound up not accepting. When I arrived for follow up 3 days after my surgery, "Grace" (Finance Coordinator) said "Hi. How are you?" Before I could respond she said "Did you bring the bag?" I look confused " What bag?" She says "The bag with all the medical supplies we gave you for your home care...There is a paper in the bag that says to return the bag... blah..blah..blah..If you had used one of our nurses they would have known" then asks "Did you pay the deposit?" I was annoyed because I was 3 days post surgery, not feeling the greatest and I'm being harassed about a bag as soon as I hit the door. Was this a Birkin bag? A Chanel bag? I said "I didnt know I was supposed to return a bag." I forget what she said but I remember saying it wasn't my fault I could not do an inpatient hospital stay and required home nursing which required a medical bag. It felt like it was going to become 'the angry  woman who made her feel threatened' very soon. So I got quiet. My husband overheard the entire dialogue and was pissed. She goes to speak to Markmann. In the exam room, Dr. Markmann says he told me day of surgery. I told him I saw about 5 nurses that day and was already nervous about an invasive surgery. The last thing I was thinking about was a bag. Days later, I told Dr. Markmann I had a problem with the entire bag debacle because I take doing business and returning other people's property seriously.  I felt Grace was more concerned about the bag than me, and I was already not feeling the best. Dr. Markmann said bluntly, and I'm not making this up: "Grace's job is not to be compassionate, but to handle billing." *Clutches pearls* He then proceeded to gaslight me by saying in a rather annoyed tone "I dont know why you are making such a big deal out of a bag. (Mind you, I never started the bag saga!) Just return it...I didnt charge you the deposit for the bag and normally thats $200."  I was stunned at his bedside manner.He lacked zero concern about how I felt. I told him there was no warmth with his practice. I had planned to get another procedure done there but now...NOT. "Well, I'm sorry you feel that way." Really? He could have cared less.  When I returned that bag the Queen Petty in me put a HUGE red bow on it. The staff looked bewildered.  But I know Grace knew why I did that..lol. I thought about going elsewhere for my follow ups, but I didn't feel comfortable seeing another surgeon for work they had not performed.  Dr. Markmann conducted himself in a professional manner. However, the damage was done. I stand by the quote "When people show you who they are, believe them the first time." I will also mention when I went for my 3 day follow up my surgibra was covered in stains and drainage. I was wrong to think they would replace the bra I'd been wearing since surgery 3 days ago that I could not remove.  They sent me back home with the same nasty bra and recommended I use some peroxide to get the stains out. Everything I learned about pre and post op was primarily from Google.  I wish there had been a note in their post op paperwork about what I needed ahead of time (like an extra bra!). No post op instructions beyond what the hospital sent. Overall, my experience here was not the best and I will not be returning for additional work. read more

So first, let's talk about the front desk staff - they're very attentive and so sweet, make you laugh in the lobby and know you by name !** super important for customer service ** I had two procedures by Britt, and she is beyond amazing, she explained everything thoroughly as she did the procedures, which is the first time I've ever been explained the do's and donts and she has a phenomenal personality, which made it 10x more comfortable to trust someone to do work on me.(I've had bad experiences unfortunately in the past) Not only do I feel more beautiful , I feel less insecure and I'm getting so many compliments and I'm just IN LOVE ! I received lip injections as well as lifting my cheeks due to droopy skin, and she did more then perfect !! I've already referred so many of my gals to come here and I can't wait to finish my cheeks and start on my under eyes! They truly care about having you feel comfortable with the procedure and follow through with any questions, problems or concerns. I had my first pre-op this morning (4 days later) and I am already so impressed with the reshaping of my body! I have a long way to go for the swelling to go down but I'm so grateful I found them to help me with this procedure! I think the support level from the entire office staff and Dr Markmann has been the best! I stayed overnight at Northwest hospital as expected and even that stay was comforting and as relaxing as possible. Moved out of Area and have 2 IPL and 2 Morpheus 8 procedures due - when I had my first set of procedure wanted before my son graduated from the Naval Academy - at my visit after the procedure the Nurse said hey summer is coming why don't you do the other procedures in the Fall, in the meantime we had to move to Florida - I have emailed Holly over 5 times with the response let we get with Grace and then crickets - Today I received email from Holly stating no refunds and I have until 2/23 to do the procedures.. Well I do not see me coming back to ellicott city - it cost money and times are tough. They have over $3,000.00 of my money - I think the Dr. and practice are not hurting for $ 3,000 and I will be seeking legal advice and be filing in small claims .. read more

I do not like this "Surgeon." The office is beautiful and cozy, except for the greasy carpet- please have it cleaned. That should be the standard in my opinion. The doc is always sniffing and he is very hard headed. You tell him exactly what you want, and yet revision after revision, he doesn't listen. Maybe he needs to take better care of himself, respect and listen to his clients. I'm so fed up with him that I'm not even going to bother going to my zillionth followup. The staff is decent, expect the HR coordinator seems always stressed, scattered and generally unhappy. They make me feel like a number and a burden and so I'm neither returning, nor positively referring others here. I sincerely would love to give a positive review, but these are my feelings. Dr. Markmann is a perfectionist. He never stops the surgery until he is satisfied. This is what separates him from the rest. And he is so cooperative with any request you may have. He is willing to do what other surgeons won't attempt and he does it with confidence and success. There is no one in the world who can sculpt a body the way he can. I actually did not have a procedure with Dr markman, I had one in Florida. However, I was looking for a lymphatic massage therapist and was thinking there may be one in his office. I called, and the receptionist was SO accommodating which I was not expecting because I'm not a patient of the practice. She tried to find if anyone knew a massage therapist and finally put me on the line with Dr Markman! He took some time explaining some things to me even though I wasn't his patient. I was amazed. I am a nurse and work with physicians every day. It's hard to get an answer from your own physician, let alone one that's never seen you. I can only imagine what kind of Care he gives his actual patients. For this reason, if I ever need anything else done I think I'll stay local and go to him! read more

I am not even sure where to start. If I could give minus 5 starts I would. I always look up to yelp for going to a new places for anything and I hope my post would help others to see the true nature of this facility. I went here for laser hair removal with a Groupon. I am not sure if the quality of service was shockingly bad due to that or they just have no regards for patients who are not spending may be over some thousands of dollars. For 6 sessions, mostly the person who did the procedures was Chrystal who never offered/advised me to wear a protective shield, never offered any after treatment cooling gel/ALOE gel (which is most common at any other laser facility) and worst of all caused severe burn on my underarm. When I mentioned it while she was still doing it, she merely said it happens. Yet she didn't offer any ice or gel or anything afterwards. I was bleeding by the time she was done. And now I am left with dark burn marks all over my underarm which look pathetic. When I requested to speak to the physician to mention my concerns, he as well simply said it can happen and the black marks will go away with more and more sessions. I Then I had requested if someone else could perform the rest of the procedures but I got a different person only once who was more humane.Needless to say I was dying to be done with my package and be done with this butchers.I am not sure what type of qualification Chrystal has to perform the procedure but she sure has no idea what the hell she is doing. She is super risky and careless and obviously her employer doesn't mind that which tells us the quality of her employer as well. I am having laser done on other parts of my body with a different doctor's office now and the difference in service is day and night. Moral of the story BEWARE of them! read more

I highly recommend Dr. Markmann for anyone considering plastic surgery, laser hair treatment, or any additional services offered at this office. The entire staff is on top of their game and the nicest people you will ever meet. You will not be disappointed. I had several consults and decided with Dr. Markmann's office even though its almost a one hour one way trip. I am receiving laser hair treatment by Clinician Katie and I would not trust anyone else which is why the drive is worth it. Her confidence and knowledge about the treatment and lasers are exceptional and she continues to impress me at every session. I really appreciate the conversations we've had and I'm glad that she showed an interest in my personal life and did not treat me as someone contributing towards her paycheck. Beware and do your homework. Dr. Markmann either has limited experience with facial procedures or he is not willing to demonstrate it. He is arrogant and will not answer questions or respond to emails. His staff has a similar demeanor. He has a policy of taking a large non-refundable deposit and will not return it even if the service and experience is terrible. Also - the reviews on his website get approved by his office so they are all positive. read more
