My boat is running fantastic and I couldn't be happier with the repair or the price. The owner, Chris, was great too. I couldn't be there at closing to get my boat for the weekend so they let me pay over the phone and put my boat in a secure location for late pickup. Highly recommended!!

After Three years I've decided MLM is not going to this motor and I'm chalking this one up to a $2000 mistake. Regrets Bill. Update I repaired the motor MLM sold me, the Timing base was the wrong part number and hand ground to make fit, the stator was the wrong part and the power pack was the wrong part. After $687 worth of new and correct parts, the engine finally runs right. These error there no way in the past 3 years that Chris did not know about them, but I'm sure he has enough business that it means nothing to him to screw over someone and loose them as a customer. I know you take risk when buying used and I would not have felt bad if Chris had been straight with me from the start but instead he chose to be deceptive and of poor personal character. Here is one of the 3 wrong parts that was on the motor. Timing Base around a $250 part In all it has taken $687 worth of new parts to make the $2000 motor MLM run. Timing base on the motor had been hand ground to make fit.

Even though we got there super early, because of the holiday, there was a HUGE line getting into Devils Fork Park with the park rangers checking in with every vehicle - the rangers were turning away everyone without a parking reservation. I called Eclectic Sun and the nice lady on the phone said to show them our kayak reservation confirmation and that she would have a parking spot saved for us. Because we were in line for 1+ hours, we didn't get in until way after our reservation time but everyone was super nice and adjusted the time for us. The guys at the life jacket rental and down by the water helping people get in and out of their kayaks were also all very nice. All kayaks they had seemed to be in great shape, we had no problem using ours. Once you're out in the water, you can just dock it at any beach area you find around the lake (even though it was a busy day at the lake, there are so many beaches, you can easily find an empty one). We will definitely come back and rent one out again!

From the…read moremoment we launched, he kept us entertained with his hilarious (and wonderfully corny) jokes while also sharing so many interesting facts and local history about the Nantahala River and surrounding area. His knowledge of the river was impressive, and you could tell he genuinely loves what he does. Trevor proudly introduced himself as the "Okie of the Smokies" since he's from Oklahoma, and his personality made the trip even more fun. He struck the perfect balance of making us laugh, keeping us safe, and making sure everyone in our raft had a great time. If you're lucky enough to get Trevor as your guide, you're in for the best trip on the river. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would request him again in a heartbeat. Thanks, Trevor, for making our family's day so memorable! Five stars all the way!

His customer service was amazing. He made the entire experience fun from start to finish. We laughed the whole way down the river, learned so many interesting facts about the area, and always felt safe. If you're visiting with young kids, this is an amazing family adventure, and Carter made it even more memorable. After rafting, we went zip-lining, and the experience was just as enjoyable. Cole and his crew were fantastic--patient, professional, encouraging, and accommodating. They made everyone feel comfortable, whether it was their first time or not. We 100% recommend Nantahala Outdoor Center for families, couples, or anyone looking for a fun day outdoors. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Our only suggestion would be to make tipping easier. Currently, guides can only be tipped with cash, and many people don't carry cash anymore. It would be great if the guides had a Cash App, Venmo, or QR code so guests could tip digitally using their phones. They absolutely deserve it! Overall, an unforgettable experience that we'll be recommending to everyone. Thank you, Carter, Cole, and the entire team for making our day so special!

As a teen, I would tube down this river so I offered this as an option to the man and he agreed. Given that he's a larger man, tubing was out, but a single person kayak, called a ducky, would be fine. I opted for the same thing. It was a touch more expensive vs opting for "Extreme tubing" but it was a lot more fun. We both got kitted out in our life vest, got our paddles and into the van and were driven to the Dillsboro drop off site, we were given pointers of where to go and what to look out for. The staff was great! The water was cool but not terribly cold, the river wasn't crowded for the height of summer and we really enjoyed ourselves. It was about 2 hours in the water from the time we put in until we took out. Yes, we did get stuck on a few rocks but we managed to get off of them without dumping ourselves into the drink. We certainly got an upper body workout from using our paddles!

She was so helpful and gave us some tips for travel to Hartford. Once we got there we checked in with a very competent and thorough young lady. We took a short bus ride to the "put in" point. On the 10 minute ride some of the guides performed fun comedic routines which kept us from thinking about how hot we were on a bus with no AC ( except open windows), decked out in life jackets and helmets while holding our paddles upright. :-) We got paired with a river rafting guide named Brantley. He gave us great paddling instructions before we even entered the raft. Since we had all been river rafting before, he explained that the trick to having a more exciting trip is to synchronize your paddle strokes. We had a great time with Brantley. We truly appreciate his concern for our "fun factor" and especially our safe trip down the river.
