Kim picked us up late in Seward, she was to be there at 11 am and it was 11:20 when I phoned and left a message with Renee, and then Kim appeared. The van was very dirty, I mean it was not good. From there we went and she got gas and her rockstar and 5 hour energy drinks. We thought at first she was just a bad driver, so we are like ok. Swerving a little here and there off the side of road several times. Hitting the rumble strips. But then she swerved onto oncoming traffic, the van crossed the center line of the 4 lane road going down a mountain and half the van was in the lane of oncoming cars, a big truck to be more precise. When we heard the rumble strips we all screamed and she woke up cause she had fallen asleep. She had DOZED off several times. We asked her if she was ok to pull over, no I am fine I am just a little nauseous. She continued to almost rear end several vehicles and was constantly scratching her legs and pinching herself to keep herself awake. We asked to get a picture when we got in the vehicle of the Kenai Fjords National Park sign, well she passed that up. So she stopped at another sign, so thank god, really thank god, because I honestly thought we were going to DIE this Saturday in this horrendous vehicle with this woman. We pulled over to get a picture. I did ask strangers for a ride because I was terrified to get back in this vehicle. At that point I refused to get back in that vehicle with her. She told us if we got back in she would give us back a $100, I told her no way. My husband drove us the rest of the way. I really felt she was going to kill us or severely injure us. That van could not have withstood a crash at 70 MPH. It was absolutely awful. I wish I wouldn't have paid her at the beginning because I wouldn't have paid her. I can't believe the boss lets her drive clients. I am a travel agent so I will make sure to leave my reviews. I am thanking god my family is here today. It was to say the least a traumatic event. I Have taken hundreds if not thousands of taxis I have never had this life threatening experience before! Please Please take the coach bus from Seward to Whittier, do not use this company!

We did what they call the 'Cook Inlet' tour and it took us approximately 90 minutes…read more There were some clouds around the volcano (so gorgeous to see from the small airplane we rode), and our pilot safely flew around the area. Super cool ! We saw the steam coming out of the volcano, plus several glaciers, lakes, and rivers with the most magical colors. We also saw several bears in the bay next to the volcano, and to top it off, two whales popped out on our way back ~ ! The ride was very pleasant and smooth. Our pilot Jing is very skillful, friendly, and full of good stories. Super recommended! Wish we could come back one day. Hopefully get the chance to bring my parents to experience it too.

You take a float plane to Lake Crescent in the beautiful Clark Lake National Park and then a pontoon around the lake to watch bears. The fresh salmon lunch in the bear lodge was so delicious as well. Many of the other places we checked into bring you to a dock at Brooks Falls where it sounds like you're kind of herded like animals (much more 'touristy') and have limited time on the dock. Not to mentioned you only have one viewing vantage point along with 60 others at once. All in all, five stars. Wes and his wife along with Jessica and others at the lake were really fantastic.

We went to the glacier first thing and saw mountain goats and spectacular glacial views. It was absolutely breath taking! Eric provided excellent commentary throughout - telling us about the natural history, geography and events that shaped the area. When we stopped back in Homer to refuel his wife Kirsten joined us to see bears and she was such a pleasure, adding even more interesting bear facts! She helped us to spot some moose and some super cool bear dens. We got to see a lot of bears in lake Clark national park and had plenty of time to take stunning pictures. Eric went out of his way to accommodate our desires and we were able to skip the volcano (very cloudy today) and go to another spot for more excellent bear viewing! The scenery was breathtaking the whole day but the last spot was truly stunning! It will be something we will remember for the rest of our lives! After a small water and snack break we went on a 2mi walk thru State Park and Native owned land, filling ourselves with Blueberries! For an extra fee we stayed overnight at their research station allowing us to have more time on the beach with insightful explanations by the Naturalist that accompanies all excursions. The research center also had touch tanks that the kids spent hours using. Will definitely come back again!

You buy your fishing tags at the office and it lets you catch 2 halibuts and 1 king Salmon. We went out about 25 miles out to do our fishing. The capitan was a great host he lets us drink beers and we all had a great time. Be sure to pack a lunch since all there required is to get ya on the fish. After fishing for 4 hrs we cruised up the inlet to try our luck on salmon. Out of 10 of us on the boat I was the only one to catch a 24lb king salmon. After we got back to the dock they filet the fish for ya. If your looking to ship back your fish they will take care of all shipping for ya. I highly recommend this captain he definitely puts us on lots of halibut. Great times for sure

Old captain that seemed to rub people the wrong way is gone and retired. Fools gold was our ship, and was in fine enough condition, head was clean, plenty of room for the people in and out. We had the pleasure of being with Capitan Dave C. and Deckhand/first mate Ash. The two of them really made the trip incredible. We went with a group size of 7 plus a baby, and they were both insanely accommodating to the little one, let us setup a pack and play in the berth, even checked in on her when we were out fishing and she was sleeping. Tons, and I mean tons, of great conversations, hysterics laughter, and learning a boat load about the area, the fish types, everything under the moon, honestly. Both of them gave clean and consice rules, what to do, where to be in the boat, showed us how to bait, where to land the catch. Very patient folks, and made this excursion top notch. If you want to go halibut fishing, and want to have a good time, go with them. You'd be making a mistake to go with anyone else. Tl;dr: Awesome crew, awesome fish, very nice and would never fish with anyone else given the choice. All limited out, every one of us, with some impressive catches.

He is a former wildlife and marine biologist, and knew a lot about the history of the area, something we were really interested in. We saw bald eagles, puffins, otters, seals and many other types of birds. Also got to visit Halibut cove and Gill Island. Glen also followed COVID-19 protocols, which was extremely important for us. A highlight of the trip was a great salmon dip that Glen had made for us, and also all the his stories.
