Even though my son was a brand new patient, Aurora Dental found a way to squeeze him in the very same day. They made the entire process incredibly easy by transferring our insurance information from my existing account, keeping the new patient paperwork simple, and getting us checked in without unnecessary stress. The front desk team was genuinely welcoming, compassionate, and kind. They understood how worried we were and treated our son with such patience and care. Instead of feeling like just another appointment, we felt like family. In healthcare, technical skill matters, but so does compassion. Aurora Dental demonstrated both today. I had to get quite a few fillings done, in which I don't have a high pain tolerance, so I was pretty nervous about these, but knew I had to get them done. Dr. Oxspring did a wonderful job with my teeth and I had way less pain than I expected to have. I was able to watch a movie for both my appointments which helped distract me from the pain and the grinding! His care and skill made all that drilling and grinding, pain free. For that alone, I recommend him, but he seemed to be a competent and confident doc. His assistant Peggy was knowledgeable and skillful also, and they were both pleasant which put me at ease as much as I could be. So for me, finding a good dentist means finding one that doesn't make you feel like you have a "dental" appointment. That's been my experience with Pioneer Peak. I use to worry about having anything done to my teeth because I never knew if the procedure would be painful or not... always seemed to be hit and miss in the past if the dentist would leave me with a mouth full of pain afterwards. After having everything dental from cleaning to a rather large tooth extraction by Dr Paden over the years, I can honestly say I've never come away in pain or dissatisfied with the results. Finally; my teeth are very sensitive and in the past I've had poor luck finding a dentist that knows how to properly numb the area fully, until I started coming here. Dr Paden numbs the area in such a way I've honestly never felt a needle. I'm always numb enough that I feel absolutely comfortable with having my teeth worked on. If I happen to feel any discomfort I just let them know and they are willing to apply more if needed. They take health insurance and file all the paperwork for me which I really like as it makes it easy to deal with the paperwork. If you call and ask, I'm sure they have other accommodations for people without insurance - the staff is always good about answering questions!
