Writing As someone who already trusted Aurora Dental for my own care, today they reminded me exactly why. My 5 year old son's daycare called because he was struggling to eat, and as any parent knows, that's not something you can wait weeks to address. His pediatric dentist couldn't see him for another seven weeks, which simply wasn't an option. Even though my son was a brand new patient, Aurora Dental found a way to squeeze him in the very same day. They made the entire process incredibly easy by transferring our insurance information from my existing account, keeping the new patient paperwork simple, and getting us checked in without unnecessary stress. The front desk team was genuinely welcoming, compassionate, and kind. They understood how worried we were and treated our son with such patience and care. Instead of feeling like just another appointment, we felt like family. In healthcare, technical skill matters, but so does compassion. Aurora Dental demonstrated both today. When a child is hurting, having a team willing to go above and beyond makes all the difference. We are incredibly grateful and couldn't recommend Aurora Dental more highly. I went here as a child, and it probably wasn't my favorite place, but I decided to come back after a long time and honestly, I was very impressed! I had to get quite a few fillings done, in which I don't have a high pain tolerance, so I was pretty nervous about these, but knew I had to get them done. Dr. Oxspring did a wonderful job with my teeth and I had way less pain than I expected to have. I was able to watch a movie for both my appointments which helped distract me from the pain and the grinding! The whole staff and dental assistants have been super sweet every time I've gone this year and definitely will be coming back for cleaning and whatever else! read more

I have been looking for a dental office to establish care for my family and so far have only spoken to this office as I was comparing options. The two times I have called and spoken to two different receptionists, I had a wonderful experience--they were cheerful, courteous, answered all my questions, were transparent about cost and gave the impression of excellent customer service, which ultimately leads up the chain to the ethics and responsibility of the hiring manager/owner. I was recently in for even more work on my teeth. I can't thank Dr. Dedeker enough for helping me get through a root canal. After close examination she knew my case would be complicated and I was in need of a specialist. She referred me to Dr. Sulte in Anchorage. After Dr. Sulte performed my root canal I was back in Dr. Dedeker's chair for a permanent filling. It won't be long til I get my crown. Thank you again, Dr. Dedeker for fixing my smile! read more

I had an awful experience at Aurora dental with the office manager. The way she talked to me was uncalled for she treatment me awful all due to insurance. I have dental insurance but it was an insurance they bought longer took I called before my appointment and I gave them the information the girl told me if there was any issues they would call. To me that would mean if you did not take my insurance please call me to inform me saying I remember what insurance companies you are or are not in network with when I started 2 years ago does not apply. My insurance paid but since Aurora was out of network they can charge a larger a kit owed to patient in which they did. The office manager would not work with me at all she only gave me you owe the full amount within 90 days. I would have never had x-rays done that day if I had been told any of this a head of time. I will not be returning and I will let others know who I know are patients what my experience was. read more

I've had the good fortunate to have used Dr. Dedeker for years and have always been extremely pleased with her gentle yet thorough dentist skills - would recommend her highly to anyone who would listen to me. I had to replace two of my bottom crowns recently that were over 40 yrs. old and she was again, kind, fun to work with, extremely professional, and a true joy to spend time with. Unfortunately, because one of those two teeth are so small and the nub underneath the crown is SO tiny, it was difficult for the temporary crown to stick securely, and I had several episodes of it spontaneously popping off. Unfortunately last night was the last straw, as I was walking down the stairs in my home, laughing with my husband, it popped off again and I swallowed it by accident before I knew what was happening. I tried to gag myself to make me vomit to TRY to retrieve it to no avail. It would NOT come up. Today I had to spend the entire day in the public doing volunteer work with people in the community, and here I was left with a "fang" in front, and I wasn't happy about the prospect. I contacted the office to find Dr. Dedeker was not in the office but Dr. Nick was. Fortunately, he was able to immediately sit me down and make me a new replacement crown within minutes.......we laughed about the unfortunate situation but he saved the day for me. Dr. Nick, like Dr. Dedeker, was absolutely as good as they come. He saved the day for me and sent me back into the world with a new replacement crown. Honestly folks - I just don't know HOW to tell you how good and how professional Aurora Dental dentists are........they're warm, professional, and you leave their office feeling like you've just been taken care of by dear, DEAR friends........who also happen to be dentists. You cannot find better dentists anywhere in the area - trust me - one visit and you'll be hooked AND you'll be taken care of by the best of the BEST !! Thank you Drs. I spent Thousands of dollars at this place I loved my dentist. My Insurance paid them Thousands of dollars. I had a 1600.00 dollar bill with them that I was making payments on. I sent my friends to them, always said good things about them. I was almost done paying them off and they sent me to collections. Thousands of dollars my family and friends put into there business. Their bookeeper Wendy is a lier and there office manager Patty sucks. I have a letter dated that I was to have my bill paid off with them by 5/9/11 they sent me to collections on 5/6/11 What in the heck is that. I had to pay $147.00 in collection fees that was not needed. I paid off my bill with them on 5/9/11 and I also paid the collection fee. Don't waste your money on the lifetime anything with them. They suck! P.S This bill started out at around 3,000 it might have been more and I had less then 500.00 left to pay. I plan on posting this on every review for Aurora Dental. What a waste Of money on the life time Whitening. I won't tell anyone to go there, and I won't go back. read more
