His assistant gave me four chicks that were about four weeks old. I said I ordered 10-16 week-olds; she assured me that "these had been here a while." I'm not the most chicken-literate person, and even I could tell they were nothing like that, but I'd driven all the way out from Anchorage, so I took them, figuring maybe I was wrong. It took two days to get a response text; owner assured me they were older ("at least thirteen weeks" -- which they absolutely aren't!) and when I told him that 4-week-olds don't meet my needs, he told me to "give them care and they will grow." YES, of course, but I need adults *now*; that's why I paid $39 each instead of $7 for chicks! I would pay $12 each for that young, but not $39! No refund, no offer to swap them...nothing. Just crickets.
