I'm about to put my house on the market and I knew it was important to get that "curb appeal". I started Googling and Yelping and found several lawn care companies in Anchorage. I had several estimates done on my property and Lawn Savers was by far the lowest. I was hesitant to use their services as there weren't a lot of reviews out there, but figured since they were much lower priced than the others, I'd give them a shot. I called in early April and it was still freezing at night. They said they'd have to wait until it warmed up and they'd email me once they could head out to do the cleanup. He gave me options as far as upgrades and told me how much I could expect it to be and what it would cost to haul the bags away ($3 per bag). Sunday morning, the Lawn Savers truck showed up at my house. I was a bit surprised to see only one person there to do the work and assumed it would take him all day. I was very pleasantly surprised that it took him less than three hours and he did a fantastic job. The poor guy had to bag up 18 lawn bags of crap from my yard. He was very polite and let me know when he was leaving and that he'd be back to pick up the bags the next day. I would absolutely recommend Lawn Savers to anybody looking for yard cleanup. We agreed on a plowing the driveway and shoveling the stairs and walkways every two inches. He called and texted me several times when there was snow instead of removing it automatically at 2 inches as agreed upon. He then came out, I paid him what we agreed upon and he left the job half done stating he'd need more money. I came home to a drive way half paved when I had told the tenants of the building it would be completed that day. He also didn't seem to have the equipment necessary to plow bc he said he needed to go get his ATV, so it may not have been the money.

I shouldn't be reviewing this place. 1. Everyone in town…read moreknows they're awesome and there's a waiting list to get in, and 2. They rejected my dog! My perfect, sweet dog! Yes, my dog may have *slight* issues with biting your face off if you sniff her butt. This is true. But she's still adorable! Seriously: I don't blame them for not taking my new rescue pup. They have to keep their existing canine clients safe and happy. If (when!) I become a client, I would want them to be very picky about who else they accept. I'm reviewing them anyway b/c they were so good to us. They took a lot of time to interview me (human) and Goldie (puppers). I was so impressed with the setup. Big, bright, clean, welcoming. Lots of doors to keep various dogs and packs separate and safe. Walkie-talkies used to communicate (between humans, not dogs) (at least I didn't see any dogs using them) so there's never a chance of human error resulting in some dogs meeting who shouldn't meet. The owners and staff are all true dog lovers and dog experts. They were so sweet to Goldie! She's still afraid of big dogs who approach her, having recently been rescued from a very tough situation. Kari and Peg didn't have to spend so much time with me, but they did. They sympathized with Goldie's situation and said we could try again in 3 months, after Goldie has had more time to decompress. They gave me good tips for training and recommendations for other ways to socialize her. They even took the time to write a personal email to a group dogwalking company, explaining Goldie's issues and connecting us. I see why everyone raves about Dog Tired! Hopefully one day I'll be a client. My little snapping turtle and I are working on our manners with the sole goal of one day being accepted. :)
