American Honda sent my Mother an airbags recall. My Mother is 90, so I called Albany Honda to make an appointment. I drove 75 miles to pick up my Mother's Honda Accord to carry to Albany Honda. American Honda we would have the use of a free loaner vehicle, Albany Honda said the vehicle would be in and out in approximately 2 hours, so no loaner cars were allowed. After 2 hours, my wife got a call wanting to know if we were going to leave the vehicle there over night? They later called and said come pick up the vehicle, to my understanding only part of the repair of the airbags was completed. I was told to call back later and to see if the other part had come in. Again with my understanding, I asked if my 90 year old mother would be driving a vehicle with airbags that might be faulty, never got a clear answer. I sent a message to the dealership asking for some insight, no reply. I contacted American Honda, they said it might be up to two months before they would/could actually contact Albany Honda because of being shot staffed during covid. I can not recommend Albany Honda or American Honda at this time. read more

Deal was good but after 1 week that new tires they put on the SUV were making the whole vehicle rattle. I made an online appointment to have my vehicle serviced on 5/4/2020 because I am having serious drivability and engine stalling issues. When I brought my vehicle to Albany Honda in Albany Georgia for diagnosis and repair I was met with complete and utterly rude, disrespectful and unprofessional customer service from the male service advisor name Ricky Scott who made extremely condescending remarks as I was explaining the issues I was having with my vehicle. They claim to have test drove my vehicle and claimed that they could not duplicate the problems I was experiencing so they recommended an oil change and gasket valve cover replacement and charged me $262.08 for the service. I paid for the service and drove my vehicle off the lot with the severe issues still present. After 30 minutes of driving the vehicle the engine struggled to get up hills, began jerking, jolting violently and I was almost hit by oncoming traffic, I immediately called serve department back at Honda and told them about the incident and that I was bringing the car back and for them to do a thorough inspection and diagnosis of the vehicle as it had become a safety hazard and I didn't feel safe driving it. I brought the vehicle back and once again was met with the upmost despicable and contemptuous behavior from the service advisor name Ricky Scott. The next day Ricky calls and tells me that they "test drove" the vehicle and that the mechanic noticed a "slight surge" but still could not pinpoint the issue. Ricky then recommended a host of completely unrelated expensive repairs that would cost me $600 to $700; money that absolutely no one has to spare during this nationwide pandemic. Frustrated and disappointed I may end up taking my vehicle to a more professional competent repair shop and have them diagnose and repair the problem. I recommend anyone reading this to never take your car to Albany Honda, instead take your vehicle to more competent, qualified certified Honda repair dealership where you won't be swindled out of hundreds of dollars for unnecessary repairs, where you can take comfort in knowing your vehicle is being serviced properly, where you will be greeted with professionalism and treated with respect. I was once a loyal customer, but I will never have my vehicles serviced here again. read more

I had my 2004 Honda 120K required maintenance service performed here. While waiting for my vehicle the service representative called to tell me my car was in need of major break pad service for the front. I knew he was lying because the brakes were recently changed only two months prior and passed a required state safety inspection in which they disclose the thickness of all brake pads on the vehicle. He was so insistent that he went on to lie and say "it's a major safety hazard because the brakes are down to the metal". I'm happy to report 4 months later and I'm still operating on the SAME brakes. Also when checking out the clerk refused to show me the bill prior to me paying??? I have every right to review the bill before paying. She actually had an attitude with me when I asked to see the bill prior to presenting my credit card for payment. They said my car was fixed but in the next few days the problem reoccurred revealing that they merely and sloppily made a temporary fix that lasted a few days. When we brought it their attention, they sent me to their manager Bobby, who refused to try to help or give remedy to the situation, but abruptly stops me mid sentence to tell me that he wouldn't want to take in the car again and to go somewhere else. The poor customer service and misleading info. made me feel uncomfortable and felt like I was getting taken advantage of. I will not come back, I will try another Honda dealership. Also make sure you watch what they do when they service your car, they left my oil cap off, and few other mishaps that proved them to me that they were dishonest and unhelpful. They won't a have a car for you to rent while your car is serviced until you persistently request for it. My friend was dropped off halfway and was made to find a way back home.
