The last time I was there was a little over a year ago, but I took some pictures and took the time to really look around. They have so many engaging things for children to do. The planetarium is really unique in the area. They have trains in the back and even have large models inside the trains for children to look at (at their eye level too!). They have different exhibits at different times, but there is generally always something interesting and educational here. I remember there being exhibits related to dinosaurs, electricity, and old newspaper clippings all over the place with interesting stories about Albany's history. Definitely worth giving a once over if you're only visiting Albany.

Now it looks better than ever. Most of the time I come here whenever I have to accomplish a research paper or project for school, but I do visit to read and check out books on occasion.Upon scrolling through some of my photographs I know that I don't look like the bookworm type of person based on my hideous black ugly-looking face, but I do enjoy reading and learning about things. I especially enjoy reading mind-stimulating books, encyclopedias, and historical books about the past. You can never have too much knowledge. The library is quiet most of the time but sometimes women will bring their young children with them and it can really disturb my studying. I wish that some of the mothers would take better control of their kids. Damn bad ass kids keeping up all that noise and shit. If they were my kids I'd put a good old fashioned leather belt to their behinds. Anyway, as far as parking is concerned, the library does have a small but cramped parking lot. There is also free street parking for up to two hours. After two hours it is recommended that you get a pass from the circulation desk to avoid getting ticketed. However, the parking rule is rarely enforced so you may get away with it on most days.

Theatre Albany is an excellent place to see a play. The stagecraft was excellent, lighting and sound was perfect, and the small size of the auditorium makes for a great experience from any seat. During intermission they had a a nice selection of homemade sweets, store bought candy, coffee, and sodas. I hope to go again sometime.

Stopped by on a Saturday expecting the catfish pond to be open... but it was closed, which was…read morereally disappointing. On top of that, the lady at the entrance booth was pretty rude. She seemed irritated that we were paying with a debit card, and when her card machine was slow, she got frustrated and just let us in for free. We went left behind the booth down a back road which lead to the lake. Very nice area with a small dock. Didn't catch any fish though. Overall, we would still come again.

Great exhibits, facility, and staff!!…read more Had a great "tour" by a staff member while touring the "50 shades of AMA" which gave me a far greater appreciation of what I was seeing. With a bit more community support this museum is definitely headed for a category 5 - Maybe a landscaping company or garden club could contribute to the curbside appeal. Looking forward to so many of the coming events and exhibits for this year :-)
