To say I regret going to this Dr. is an understatement. I went there in 2018 for vein removal on both legs. Since this treatment, I have had chronic neuropathy in both of my feet. I voiced my concern to the tech on my final ultrasound who said it had nothing to do with my procedure and directed me to my PCP. Yeah right. Dr. Albert also did not do my procedures. His staff did. I now know of several other people that have been permanently damaged by his procedures with the same issues as mine. Please don't make the same mistake I did and suffer forever over it. Wish I could give negative 5 stars. Had a referral from my Hematologist to see if medical treatment of my veins would help with the swelling and pain in my legs. I was not there for cosmetic procedures. I received successful treatment elsewhere. If referred, save your time, money, and frustration. Ask for another referral. read more

After reading all the reviews I can honestly say that I do not agree with the negative ones. The Doc takes the health of his patients very seriously and I feel he genuinely cares about them. He may seem arrogant but don't let that confuse you with the seriousness he takes with wanting to help people. His staff members are all wonderful and very excellent in the role they have within this practice. I have been going to Dr. Albert for two years and the same staff members have been there. That says a lot about a man who is supposedly so arrogant and dismissive. I would highly recommend letting this man and his staff help you the way he has me. Wasted over an hour of my time. When making the appointment the scheduler didn't tell me how to enter the building to get to the upper floor where they are located...so I had to go into another business and ask where the entrance was exactly..once there I had a stack of papers to complete (should be available online) and then once put into a room answered many of the same questions again...but the worst of the experience was when I was told the doctor was in a meeting and he'd be right in to see me once he was finished..well..half an hour later I was told he went into surgery after the meeting and was asked if I needed a coffee.. the gesture was nice...but after sitting in a patient room for over an hour I decided to leave..what a waste of my time. I do believe that any doctor that schedules like this is more interested in the money then he/she is about helping people. I will not return. read more

As soon as he entered the room, Dr. Albert was dismissive of my case. He greeted with me with "So, what makes you think you have a vein issue?" I told him I was referred here by a Physical Therapist due to years of leg swelling, stabbing pain in the hips, and multiple other symptoms in the lower extremities. He immediately dismissed my symptoms, their severity and made a sexist remark about my periods and my ability to accurately judge the pain I experience. This doctor was unprofessional on so many levels. I left the office feeling unheard and belittled. Even my husband pointed out how uncalled for and unprofessional Dr. Albert's comments and treatment of me was. Thankfully, I went to  some good vein doctors in Denver who diagnosed my condition and were not at all dismissive. I'm so glad I was my own advocate and didn't let Dr. Albert dissuade me from seeking treatment elsewhere. Otherwise, I would still be dealing with terrible pain. I would never refer anyone to see Dr. Albert. The drive to Denver is worth it to avoid this guy. read more

Dr. Albert is the rudest, most arrogant SOB I have ever encountered. I waited 1 1/2 hours to have 3 min of his precious time where he basically told me that he did not see any reason for me to be there. I was referred by my Primary Care doctor, but I could barely finish my sentences because he kept cutting me off. I never got a chance to ask any questions and he could not get out of the room fast enough. He was totally disinterested in me or my condition. So egotistical and arrogant. I never leave reviews on doctors but I felt a consult with this doctor was a waste of my time. He interrupted me and was not interested in hearing what I had to say. He came off as arrogant, couldn't believe I wasn't taking the newest blood thinning pharmaceutical and was just rude overall. I went into this clinic for a consultation for a mildly bulging vein in my leg post DVT and will not be going back. I had complications with the blood thinners provided by my primary doctor and Dr. Albert focused on getting me on the newest drug available despite the horror stories that I had heard and that there is no way to reverse the drug in case of an emergency. read more

I had my saphenous veins cauterized by Dr. Albert himself when a "complication" occurred during the surgery. The tip of their machine broke off in my leg and they had to make an emergency incision to remove the tip. They were unable to retrieve the tip and I had to be monitored every day in fear it might be swept into my heart. My life was at risk and I was terrified. Please keep in mind I had a 1 year old son. I wasn't able to engage in any type of exercise of any type. Dr. Albert said he was waiting for an operating room at a nearby hospital but I couldn't live every day like that. Dr.Albert also said I would have a 5-7in scar on my upper thigh after he removed it. I eventually went to an emergency visit on Fort Carson that had top of the line equipment for removal of shrapnel. It was safely removed by the amazing doctors at Fort Carson within 2 days. I have about a 2in scar on my left upper thigh. Dr. Albert charged me for the complete surgery, never offered to help with any expenses and I am still suffering from leg pain and poor circulation. He never spoke to me in person after I had the piece removed. He is very unprofessional and worried more about his monetary things than my life. I look at this scar daily and feel so much anger and sadness over that period in my life and I still feel this way today. read more

I was referred to this practice by my plastic surgeon. I arrived for my appt and was greeted by an unfriendly receptionist who was not welcoming at all. I met Dr Albert and he seemed disinterested in my condition. He talked very fast did not explain things thoroughly and was half out the door and seemed bothered when I wanted to ask him some questions. Thankfully his assistant came back into the room and was very helpful and answered my questions. I scheduled an ultra sound the following week and learned I would have to come back a third time to meet with Dr. Albert to discuss the results. Really???? Why wasn't I told this during my initial appt? I felt like this office (other than the assistant and ultra sound tech) did not respect my time. I am moving my business to another vein institute in Lakewood on W. Alameda where I take my mother. This office accomplished everything in one visit and the doctors are very patient, helpful and respectful. I could never recommend the Albert Vein Institute. read more

My husband went to Albert Vein a few years ago. At initial consultation he laid out all his symptoms, including severe leg cramps, tired, heavy legs, and not being able to walk very far. I do agree with most of the reviews that Albert was arrogant and rude, when I asked if the vein procedure would help the cramps he was vague in answering, but assured us his procedure would help my husband. Overlooking Alberts demeanor , my husband had procedure obviously hoping for help. He did have some veins issues that were helped, but continued having the same symptoms which he complained to Albert Vein at all follow-up visits, but he was told everything was fine. Discouraged and suffering my husband quit Albert Vein believing there was no helping him. Years later, seeing commercials for United Vein, i talked my husband into making an appointment with them. Immediately at initial consultation, the doctor at United Vein suggested it could be an artery problem. The ultrasound proved veins were ok, but showed artery blockage and recommended we see another vascular surgeon. I guess as lay persons my husband and I should have thought about an artery problem, but I am furious that vascular surgeon Albert never even suggested there might be an artery issue. For years now my husband has suffered with debilitating cramps, heavy tired legs, and not even able to walk a block due to Alberts lack of care and insight. Current vascular surgeon says his symptoms are text book for artery issues. Long story short, my husband is scheduled for surgery tomorrow for major artery blockage. My husband suffered years due to Alberts lack of medical help and or insight, making surgery tomorrow much worse than it might have been years ago...to say nothing of the years of needless pain and having to watch him suffer! I went in for a consultation for dysfunctional veins in my legs. I let them know I was about 6 months away from having my finances in order to do the surgery. They were extremely understanding and kind. When I got the call that my insurance would cover 100% of the procedures I saw no reason to put it off. They went over what my possible costs would amount to and I was confident it wouldn't be more than $3500 in worst case. They seemed very caring and on top of the costs to patient. However I feel completely duped after seeing they charged my insurance over $25,000 and of which I owed $7000.00! 3 months later I was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and the bill went into collections before I could even work anything out and had they just been upfront with me about the costs I could have made the choice to wait. They up-sold me and withheld the truth. I feel this is a criminal company with a foundation built on zero integrity. read more

My experience with AVI is outstanding. I've been receiving treatment there for over 2 years for varicose vein issues. I had previously gone to another clinic and decided to try AVI due to it's proximity to my work. Thank goodness because Dr Albert discovered the previous clinic had likely caused a blot clot that I had not been made aware of the other office, and needed immediate attention,which of course is very dangerous! His background in heart medicine absolutely was an extra "benefit" in this case! The staff at AVI all seem to be very professional and personable and I recognize most of them when I have appointments, which means they must have little turnover, which to me is a another good sign. read more
