Dr Peragine and Jeff (anesthesia) took as much time as I needed to explain my procedure and gave me time to think of questions. Jeff called the night before with details on anesthesia. Dr Peragine and Jeff came in before my procedure with a kind, confident manner. Their staff followed up and I had no problems. I highly recommend Dr Peragine, Jeff, and the staff at the surgery center for expert, experienced, attentive, kind care. And the warm blankets. read more

I had to have a pretty rough outpatient surgery, but everyone here was so kind and empathetic. From the knowledgeable anesthesiologist to the encouraging post-op nurses, this was the best surgical experience I've ever had (I've had 3 others so far). If I ever need anything done again, I'll be choosing a surgeon who operates out of this surgery center. The team makes all the difference (kudos to my excellent surgeon, Lisa Perryman, too! I had foot surgery at this facility. The surgeon was great - Dr. Pettet and the nursing staff. However, they required me to pay the full amount up front and then failed to submit to my insurance because the claim would have been less and they would have had to pay me back money. I have called several times, my doctor even called billing and they said they would do it. Still hasn't been done 4 months later. The lady told me that Cigna rejected it initially but any denials or rejections are noted in their system. They never filed the claim. I do not recommend this play strictly because they require you to pay up front and are stealing money from their patients. read more

Expect your billing to be jacked up and a mystery. Never received any invoice or a single phone call from the anesthesiologist practice which is separate from the surgery center. My insurance company issued an EOB April which I got about April 10. Never got ANY communication from the doctor or the practice but now I'm getting, I kid you not, 40 phone calls a day from something called Creedence Resource Management Because the anesthesiologist referred me to collections without ever even sending a bill, and all of 40 days from when my insurance company issued an explanation of benefits. I'll never use this place again for anything. read more

Staff was efficient and courteous for the actual procedure but major lack of transparency in billing. My original out of pocket expected to be around $500 and ended up being almost $1700 and they are unwilling or unable to provide a bill showing what I am being charged and have provided multiple different explanations including blaming the doctor. They repeatedly send a statement showing a total without any details , not even the name of why I went, service date anything and there is concern what they billed insurance is wrong per the doctor's office or that insurance processed wrong because my charges differ so much than other patients. But after 3 requests and agreeing to send, they won't provide the actual details. Now I wonder if costs went up due to Covid giving them an opportunity to bill more to make up for elective procedures being canceled???? If not something hard to explain then why won't they provide it. I do not trust their billing practices since they are not transparent. Based on some other reviews I've read, this is not an isolated event. Their staff feels asking patients to pay whatever is billed without providing details is normal and acceptable (actual conversation with staff member). If you are budget minded, this place might not be a good choice. If you have no concerns about costs, I have zero complaints about in person experience for procedures. read more

Things must have changed since 2014, for I just had a very good experience at Crown Point Surgery Center. Everyone was friendly, attentive and with good humor. The last being important as it's my way of dealing with stressful or unfamiliar situations. Having had a number of procedures over the years, the staff, nurses and specialists here are top notch. Even their follow up calls were friendly, knowledgeable and caring. If I were in need of coming here again, I would have no qualms whatsoever. read more

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! I called for an estimate on cost of mass excision on right thumb for my husband. Amanda in billing was rude, was agitated, stated the code our physician's office had provide me was a non-payable code and we would be responsible for the entire amount. I explained that I understood billing as I had been a "Billing Manager," for over 20 years, I was abruptly cut-off. Then I was told that my husband should look into purchasing a secondary insurance, and that I should call the doctor's office back and "get a new code." I felt like I was being discriminated against for not having a secondary insurance, our primary insurance is great and they pay well. We called back to file a complaint and my husband spoke to supervisor Joe - who was combative, accusatory, harassing, and extremely dishonest. She kept interrupting my husband and adverting the focus any from the complaint to numerous other issues, that had absolutely Nothing to due with our complaint. When my husband informed her that she was diverting the conversation, she became hostile and irate, stating she was, "I'm hanging up now." My husband actually ended the call and called back to speak to a manager above Joe he was connected back to Joe, who on speaker phone accused my husband of being angry and flat out LIED saying that she Never threaten to hang up on my husband; when my husband informed her that he had a witness and that she was on speaker phone she admitted to the truth and put my husband on hold for her manager Cindy. The manager Cindy did listen and apologize, but at this point we will be going somewhere else for his surgery. I do not know how they are training their employees, but this is a center with an horrid atmosphere of contempt towards patients and it is completely NOT ACCEPTABLE! read more

Similar story to what others have shared here. Billing is a complete mystery and very much like a scam. My partner had a cash-pay surgery back in April. A week before the surgery, her quote more than doubled. They said due to additional billing codes based on updates from her surgeon (the surgery plan never changed.). We should have cancelled, but had already been through multiple scheduling hassles to get the date we had. We paid the full quote on admission, before surgery. Here we are seven months later, and they have the audacity to send an invoice to her for an additional $900. No explanation with the invoice, just I noted it was 7 months since her surgery. After communicating with them, the only justification for the new bill is they "found new charge codes." No. Not. Even. Close. You don't get to bill for a cash pay service several months after we pad in full and our transaction is done. They have never provided the detailed invoice that we requested at the time of surgery. They give no explanations. They just expect you to keep sending them money because they say you owe them. Never again. read more

I suggest you stay away from this surgery center. My care after my gallbladder surgery was lacking. My nurse kept leaving mid-sentence for an unknown reason and I definitely was not her priority. I was rushed out of the hospital much quicker than I was ready for, after that they charged me almost twice as much as they had quoted me and could not provide a reasonable explanation. Their billing office was rude and complained that they had to work past 10pm. Overall everyone I dealt with was unprofessional and uncaring. read more

I had hand surgery there two weeks ago and was treated like a queen. Everyone was so nice and kind to me. They ran very close to the schedule I had received. I was able to speak to the anesthesiologist and surgeon before surgery. My nurse (Kashea) went over and above the "call of duty" going with my husband to the pharmacy to pick up a cast cover to make showering easier. This was as pleasant an experience as surgery could be. read more

I found these negative reviews after I had already signed up to have hernia-repair surgery done here last December, 2015... as it turned out, everything went great and I'm totally satisfied with the quality of the care and especially the attentiveness of the staff and their attention to detail... for example, my ID bracelet was checked by multiple people and I was asked to verify who I am each time before anything was done (e.g. given drugs). They were all nice and carrying ! They continued to make sure my wait for my son was ok. The front desk lady (Linda) was very nice and the nurses in the back as well. They doctor and every one with the doctor was great! Doctor Johnson came out to tell me more about what was going on with my son who is 34 yrs of age. I saw the 1 stars that was given but I never got that treatment! Sorry they had a bad experience but I give them a 5 star! I even had the opportunity to change the TV!
