If you do not have patience ... you will end up not being a good patient nor a positive reviewer. That being said, we had ABSOLUTELY NO PROBLEM in scheduling the cardiac testing for my daughter who has a developmental disability in addition to the current questions about her heart's health with Jefferson's team and they followed up the initial e-mail with a phone call verifying the information including the time at which we needed to arrive. From the very first stop along the day's journey all we received were smiles and professionalism mixed in with the right amount of personal interaction and conversation. Did my daughter have to wait in a hospital gown for more than an hour not knowing exactly when she was going in for her procedure, yes but staff regularly checked on her with smiles. They talked with my daughter always doing their best to calm her nerves and her fears. The American public needs to learn the word PATIENCE and put it into practice because impatience at times causes folks to miss the positive care providers are attempting to give. As we prepared to get the procedure done one by one of the "surgical" team came by to share information and to ask if we had any questions or perhaps even more importantly if we had any concerns. The anesthesiologist really calmed my daughter by showing her a scan of her arm. We obviously were not present for the procedure but before our daughter was awake the head of the team was sitting down with us to explain everything that went on. She even removed her scrubs providing a more personal feeling to the conversation (If she doesn't remove her scrubs for post operative conversations all the time, I would highly recommend it because with a sea of scrub covered humans it was nice to hear the report from a physician dressed like we were. It was a great touch!). Yes, we had to wait and wait and wait until our daughter's readings were acceptable. We were so ready to leave and our daughter wanted to get dressed. And, yes we were not in a comfy private room but what mattered were the smiles of the staff and their friendly quick chats with us about our daughter, about their work histories and their families, and just about life. That's the way it should be! It would be so wonderful if no one needed cardiac care but if you are in Philly or South Jersey or the Delaware Valley our experiences tell us that Jefferson is the place to go!! A definite FIVE STAR review!!!

If it wasn't for my mother's health, I would walk out. I understand with everything going on in this world, every where is backed up. But please don't set an appointment for someone to make them wait over an hour. I questioned the receptionist at about 11:30, just for them to tell me there is one more person in front of us. I don't understand how scheduling at this facility work. I work in the service industry, this is ridiculous

Trusted her like so many others yet in my personal experience she and her team believe profited off of me and adversely impacted my well being while in her care. Do not let her charming personality captivate you as I did where I misplaced my trust.. Add - UPenn replied to my post but has not followed up as has been my experience in the past when I made several efforts to communicate my concerns to UPenn directly. No - UPenn in my experience does not treat patient concern genuinely in good faith. To add, question the UPEnn Med reviews on the UPenn web site as only positive high ratings are posted. Caution anyone deciding who is their doctor relying on UPenn website reviews.

Be warned. Do not seek Dr. Rubin's care as your cardiologist - my personal opinion. Dr. Rubin was…read moremy primary care Cardiologist from 2017 to 2022. Unfortunately, over time discovered she harmed my well being and heart health by over prescribed my heart medication dosages, failure to provide clinical data to my health insurer to receive medications that was her duty to provide my insurance carrier to receive cholesterol reducing medication that was the only medication available for patients allergic to statin medication. As a result was left untreated for high cholesterol by Dr. Rubin and her pharmacist and RN failing to provide the necessary clinical data that if provided my insurance would have approved; instead Dr. Rubin and her team blamed my insurance carrier instead later by my own due diligence, escalating to my insurance carrier did I receive documentation of Dr. Rubin, Penn Cardiology Pharmacist and her Rn that their failure in their duty of care by not providing the necessary clinical data in their possession and responsibility to provide to my insurance carrier. Ultimately, over time kept increasing my heart medication dosage levels slowing my heart rate so drastically where I suffered a seizures, heart attack hospitalization and near death May and June of this year. Taken by ambulance admitted where 3 of the heart medications prescribed by Dr Rubin were removed and other dosages dramatically reduced. In the 5 years I had Dr. Rubin as my cardiologist not once did she refer me to a electro cardio team despite the team that ultimately resolved my heart health and returned my well being - no effort on her part nor any effort to engage with the other team who ultimately decided required a pacemaker. Hospitalized @ Penn Med Hospital (two blocks from her office) despite repeated calls and messages did not visit or provide any care while in the hospital where I ultimately had a pace maker implanted. Other doctors at Penn Cardiology did demonstrate care including Dr. Haber who does care, saved my life and made a personal effort to visit me in the hospital to make sure I was ok. Highly recommend Dr. Haber. However Dr. Rubin "ghosted" me. Be advised. From my personal experience and opinion do not recommend Dr. Rubin if you wish to remain heart healthy. In my opinion, not wise to put your faith and trust in Dr. Rubin; who has a charming personality yet her professional ability as cardiologist in my case failed and my well being suffered in her care.
