One of the oldest theaters west of the Mississippi. They put on several different types of productions- Dramas, mysteries, big Musicals. I've performed, directed, and been an audience member since moving to Albuquerque in 2007.

I was in Albuquerque for the holidays with my family and specifically to see "Miracle on 34th Street" at the Albuquerque Little Theatre. To be fair...it was because my dad played Kris Kringle in the show... But don't think I am biased just because my personal Santa was playing Santa in the play! The venue is a good size for a stand-alone, dedicated, community theater. They are also aided by a very generously sized (free) parking lot, especially located sort of near to the Old Town area. There isn't a particularly big foyer/front of house area...but you are here for a show, not necessarily to hang out in the box office area. I heard that they recently completed a bathroom remodel, and I can confirm that they ladies' bathroom is lovely, clean and bright. I will say the only negative the whole visit was the temperature. It was very cold in the theater. And I understand that some venues keep it cooler because stage lights and costumes make it rather warm for the performers. But it was a topic of conversation at intermission and after the show. It was notable, thus I note it. The show was wonderful. I was impressed by the costumes, and the sets were well done. It doesn't seem that they employ any artificial amplification for the actors...whether lavalier or stage-level, but at times that seemed...necessary. As this is the only show I have ever seen here...perhaps it is better with smaller/bigger casts...or different blocking and shows. But it was definitely difficult to hear in some parts. If you find yourself intrigued by anything on their season program, you should ABSOLUTELY should get yourself to a show. My impression is that they produce high quality entertainment and any of y'all who get to live in the general vicinity should go and enjoy it for me!

First time here and I love this little theatre! I was able to catch their final run of The Full Monty! So good!! -Parking - free parking right there! Plentiful too! - theatre size - it's a sizable theatre and the sets were impressive! Quality shows! Great actors , excellent sets , great experience! Loved the whole show and space!!

Such a cute & old fashioned little theater that has lots of charm! That charm added to the experience of attending Miracle on 34th Street during the Christmas season!

The stage for Agatha Christie's "A Mousetrap"

This is a very cool little theater in Albuquerque's downtown area. It has been operating for more than 85 years and the insides feel like it. Not to say it is run down or out of date, but the ambience is old-timey. First walking in, they had the sweet ladies at the ticket booth just as you would expect. One ticket taker who loved to chat. The grand doors opened into a decent size theater that could seat several 100. The chairs were plush and comfortable and the stage was easily seen from all locations (I checked). The actual play will differ from month to month of course. We went to see Agatha Chrstie's "A Mousetrap". It was a murder mystery comedy and quite well down. All the actors were top notch and kept us interested the whole time. It was easy to hear them throughout the seating area. After the wonderful performance, they had a little open house where we were able to meet the actors. As it was opening night, they had a few appetizers and drinks after as well. It was a lovely expereience. Perfect for a date night, a night out with friends, or just enjoying the culture by yourself. You should check it out.

Vivian Vance's Academy Award (Ethel from "I Love Lucy") at the Albuquerque Little Theatre!

Cute vintage performance space near Old Town. Close by to lots of restaurants that offer a discount with your theatre tickets, so it makes for a fun night out. Don't miss checking out Albuquerque local Vivian Vance's Academy Award that is on display in the lobby!

Such a cool little theater in town! I haven't been here until recently when my hunny and I decided to go to see A Christmas Story. I must say, I was extremely impressed! The actors were wonderful. Sets were on point. The inside of the theater was a bit out of date and could use some upgrades... but they are a non-profit organization and are funded primarily off donations. I wish more people would check this place out and donate to the arts!

Long story short as I was scrolling through the feed on that blue app I saw an ad for a horror themed circus that promised extra fright. Curiously I pondered at the date and thought why the heck not. Then as I looked at the website I discovered it was being hosted right at the Kimo. The light bulb in my head clicked on and I thought let me see if a friend wants to join so I can make a better decision. Needless to say I waited to buy a ticket. Why you ask? Well Ill be honest I wasn't quite sure at the time. Then fast forward to last weekend and the same ad appeared with a beautiful promotion setting a price I just couldn't refuse. I just knew I had to go. My friend canceled on me but that was ok because when I stepped through those door it was a refreshing experience. I couldn't help but get lost in its great grandeur. As I entered the seating area I looked around and the vibe had me so excited. The show was phenomenal. I had a really great time. I'm so glad I went. Not only did I get to see the inside of this place for the first time but I got to experience a show here which made it so much more special. I look forward to returning for the next show here!

The cultural dance performances added another layer of depth, a reminder of how many distinct tribes call New Mexico home, each with their own traditions still very much alive. That said, the museum does not shy away from the weight of history. Much of the experience is, frankly, unsettling as it walks you through the realities of Native American history in the United States. It is not an easy visit, nor should it be. But it is an important one. I left both moved and more informed, which feels like the point. For anyone seeking to engage with culture beyond the surface level, this is a place that stays with you.
