First off, Mary and Rod are a delightful ghost tour duo that we got lucky with to have as our hosts/guide. Very informative, educational, and entertaining. The tour meet up is right in the Old Town area, which itself is nice. We booked ours in the early evening so partway through it became night for some of the places we toured through. It included great historic stories of not only the town, but the ghost stories that folks have experienced over the decades+. If puns and bad jokes are your thing, these two do it well. And they're my thing so I had fun throwing a few at them myself (which I've allowed them to add to their speeches if they feel the need to). Best ghost tour I've ever taken and I've taken a lot of them I try to do a spooky walking tour any time I travel, and I've probably done dozens by now. Ghost Tour of Old Town in Albuquerque absolutely blew the rest out of the water. This was hands-down the best ghost tour I've ever been on- funny, creepy, thoughtful, and full of heart. Vince and Steph were our guides and brought every story to life with such charisma that even a cat followed us through part of the night. (You know it's real when the local familiars tag along.) They were funny, kind, and knew exactly how to keep the group engaged without it ever feeling corny or over-rehearsed. And here's the part that really stayed with me: I was traveling solo and ended up lingering at the curb waiting for a very delayed Uber back to my hotel. We did a private walking tour on one cold afternoon and had such a wonderful time. Four of us were not from ABQ (let alone NM--we all somehow moved from CA to NM in the past few years), but a few of us found ourselves now calling ABQ home (with my visitor friend coming from the SF Bay Area), so none of us really knew much about NM or ABQ. This history walking tour in Old Town ABQ was so wonderful. It was a gentle walk of an hour (or a little over that) around old town learning all about the history of NM/ABQ. We enjoyed it so much that even after the tour my friend and I spent 2 hours after the tour walking around checking the places that were covered on the tour out. We decided to check out a Ghost Tour of Albuquerque and we are so glad we did. The ticket said to be there 15 minutes before the start time. We were a little late but were lucky we weren't the only ones. Our tour guide was Charlie. He was such a good orator! He has a voice that makes you want to listen and he told the stories like he was talking to a group of friends. We walked through the streets of Old Town in the dark, with a lantern, flashlights, and a fee streetlights. We were encouraged to take photos, but it was just way more fascinating hearing the history of our town, that we didn't take many. All together, it was a great time and I look forward to taking the Toast the Ghost haunted pub crawl some time in the future!! read more

I went on there special Dia De Los Muertos tour . And honestly, I had a great time. Emily, Mary and Misty did a great job conducting the tour and made it very interactive and fun . They told us spooky stories about Dia De Los Muertos as well as history about old town. Our tour guides were even dressed up for the occasion which added to the mystique of the tour. Then a couple days later I took my cousin on one of their regular ghost tours , which we both truly enjoyed. You get to see quite a few historically cool and legendary ghostie hot spots. Plus old town itself is rad all around. The staff is professional and lovely and you really feel important and welcome. We did this tour last Friday and it was quite chilly! There were the two of us, a group of 3 girls from UNM, our guide Craig, and our assistant. I have to admit I was quite afraid of ghosts when I was younger, but this tour was the perfect combination of storytelling and corny jokes. We stopped in the store front where Scarface was spotted, the Covered Wagon (aka the Manual Springer Mansion) where Scarlett lived, the alley way with the outward swinging doors, the Armijo Hatchet story by the fireplace and Brewer mansion, Hacienda del Rio (with helpful Mary and John by the murder tree), the Confederate soldiers' horse, the High Noon Saloon, the undertaker's "hanging tree", the graveyard and benchmarker by the ice cream parlor. Our tour was extended well past the hour and a half time and we left shortly before 1030, with Craig giving some of his personal experiences from tours past (including a visit from La Llorona herself). While we didn't see anything on the tour itself, there was a friendly cat that appeared on the tour. As a native New Mexican, I learned facts about Old Town that I hadn't know about before - the history of the railroad, the re-puebloization and the retreat of the Rio Grande, Route 66, the Battle of Albuquerque, and the history of the church. 2020 #3 read more

I'm in New Mexico for a work training, and each day the training doesn't end until 4-5PM. Sadly, there's really nothing to do after the sun is down where I'm staying. So the next best thing is to drive to ABQ... which is over an hour away. Worth it? I think so! Especially when I can make it up there for dinner AND a ghost tour! This was exactly what I needed after an hour drive to get dinner and some time to check out the city. Alison was such a great tour guide. She's hilarious, knowledgeable, and has such amazing energy (the good kind-- not the eerie energy Old Town has with all the ghostly spirits). I highly recommend this tour. You get to walk around pretty much all of Old Town, listen to scary stories/legends AND learn about ABQ history. History is embedded in the ghost stories, which is what makes this tour so great. Jamie, I believe was our tour guide! We had taken the Halloween/Full moon tour! It was an absolute blast! Two full hours of learning all the stories and history of old town was SO fun. Years of living in NM and hadn't heard more than half the stories of the area! We even plan to try a few restaurants around there because of some of the crazy stories that go along with the buildings! We also ended up buying some fun stuff the next day at one of the vintage shops that use to be the I believe sheriff's house! & the um, bad tree where bad people passed away was right infront of the house! I was in town for balloon fiesta and wanted to do a tour of some kind. I actually looked at their website and tried to book but something happened and it would not let me. Later that day I was in the old town just walking and taking in the site and saw a bunch of people sitting down waiting for something. If you never been to the old town, its all touristy stores and after the stores and restaurants closed there is nothing to do (other then play pokemon go!). So I was curious as to why so many people were just sitting down chilling on a cold October night. It was almost 8 pm when I overheard the tour guide saying something about a ghost so I hurried over and asked if space was still available, they said yes and I went over to the ticket booth to buy my ticket for the tour starting at 8 pm. They have tours every night at 8 pm and 10 pm. They have discounts available for groups and military, AAA and others so make sure to ask if you are not sure. I am super into local history, supernatural and architecture stuff and since I never been here before/not aware of the local history I was excited about the tour. They were 2 tour guides with us at all time, there were plenty of chances to take pictures and plenty of places to stop and rest if you needed to sit down. The tour distance is not that long and is pretty flat except for some steps and stuff. I always felt safe and never did I feel the tour guides were rushing us or made anyone feel bad for asking questions regarding the ghost stories or the local buildings. My tour guide was hype, energetic, full of spunk and full of 'family appropriate jokes', I liked the choice of words she used to make things that were X rated be turned to 'family-friendly' does that make sense?! haha. The tour was well organized and some of the ghosts are so famous that several tv shows have come to investigate the buildings, so cool. I loved the tour! I wish they would make it longer but I understand they got a bedtime as well. I love the integration of local history in the ghost tour. My tour guide was not even from NM she was an import from the north state of Illinois? Minnesota? somewhere up north haha. Maybe next time I go to old town and is not that cold outside I will go out there at 3 am and see if any ghost wanna hang out with me! read more

This was the first tour we did when we arrived in Albuquerque and let me tell you it set the whole tone for the next day. The stories were amazing and night had just enough flickering street lights that went on and off to really make the stories that amazing.
