I'm excited to say, I found a cafe with a list of unique premium teas. I'm area drinker before coffee. I ordered the Mint green tea hot, with a red velvet cup cake warmed. The interior is calming and uniquely decorated with a center piece chandelier reflected on a backdrop of lined huge mirror; quite unique. Got to check out this cool new coffee shop in Duluth Town Green! The shop is a bit hard to find as it is tucked away on a hill between the donut shop and maple street biscuit company. There's plenty of public parking around this area. The cafe itself is a bit dark as there is not a lot of natural lighting but it is a big space, with lots of seating so great for either studying by yourself or hanging out with a group of people. Not too many staff around but enough for a quiet morning and they were very kind and good service overall. I only tried the iced matcha latte and though not the best matcha I've had, I thought it was still a decent drink! The menu had a lot of interesting drinks so would definitely want to try other ones. Recommended if you're looking for a quiet space to grab a drink and either get some work done or catch up with friends. read more

Alchemist on the Divide is the newest sister coffee shop to Alchemist Trading Co. in Johns Creek, which is one of my go-to's. Like it's predecessor its offers an amazing vibe for its customers as well as good coffee and tea options. The location has great interior design and lots of seating space for its customers - Downtown Duluth can get quite busy at times. This place offers rewards and the baristas are all very people oriented. On this visit I ordered a chai and my husband ordered his usual Alchemist Latte. Both were super flavorful and we enjoyed the ambiance of this new location. Whenever we are in need of a coffee pick-me-up and are in this area, we will for sure be back. read more

This location was so cute and a little hidden imo. I got the matcha latte and it was really good. I had accidentally ordered the cloud one with espresso the first time and they helped me get the right order after. The service was friendly and the matcha was flavorful and not too sweet. Top notch coffee spot in downtown Duluth, this cafe blends thoughtful design with a comfortable atmosphere and while equally artistic to the other location they have a new style all to its own. The entrance gives the feeling of walking into a hidden speakeasy, adding to its charm. The interior features a sleek yet inviting industrial aesthetic, and once inside, the space feels much larger than expected. I love the counter that mirrors the height and feel of an Italian espresso bar, instantly bringing me back to Italy and adding to the experience, which has an artistic mood that feels both intentional and authentic. The coffee is excellent with a well-curated menu. While I am not a huge sweets fan, the croffle was a great choice. Drinks all solid but the Dutch cold brew is a personal favorite, smooth, bold, and expertly crafted to highlight the beans flavor. Absolutely amazing coffee, tea, and croffle! What's a croffle? See my picture to find out but it's good! Have been here 3 times so far and love it. Located right below Maple Street Biscuit in Downtown Duluth this location is a welcome addition to a bustling and happening community. Owned by some of the nicest people in the city of Duluth, Sarah and Michael Park have given so much to the city of Duluth and beyond. It's nice to support such an awesome family and all the more awesome since their product is such high quality and delicious! The space is comfortable and well designed. I live a ways off from this location but will be happy to stop by whenever I'm in the area or feeling like some high quality coffee or tea or grapefruit ade and a pastry to pair it with. Parking can be a little daunting but is actually quite simple if and once you are familiar with downtown Duluth. There are a few 15 minutes spots directly in front of the cafe and there are two parking lots within walking distance. This is not your typical coffee shop. It's more of an espresso bar that specialized in perfecting the art of coffee brewing. We got to try various types of drink and my favorite is the alchemist latte (iced) while the dutch latte was very smooth, the additional shot of espresso gave it a more bold body. The dutch latte was very smooth and easier to drink. But I believe there is more caffeine content in the dutch latte. The Passion fruit tea may seem very simple but it's one of my favorite to clean my palette so I can enjoy my latte anew every-time. The black tea is very subtle and not strong so there's no bitter aftertaste. We also love the honey croffles that is crunchy on the outside and chewy on the inside. The decoration is definitely a hip place and not your typical morning brunch coffee shop. I cannot wait for their grand opening to try their full menu. read more

Located in Duluth downtown under the donut shop and the biscuit company. I've come here twice already, and tried their alchemist latte with lavender syrup , croffle, and hojicha latte. I really appreciate their unique flavors and variety of lattes and coffees they offer here. The lavender flavor I got was very strong (maybe a bit too strong/sweet) but I mean that's better than not tasting the lavender at all. The hojicha added a nice roasted flavor to the latte. The only thing I was missing from both lattes was the nice roasted espresso or coffee note. Also I guess I just don't like how dark this place is. It's cool how they transformed the space into a coffee shop but I tried to sit inside twice I just felt like i was in a basement. Other people seem to like it though so to each their own read more

Having been to Alchemist in Alpharetta, and finding out there's one in Duluth, I thought it would be the perfect time to go with a friend to catch up and study. It's located next to Maple Street and on the side of a building (kinda hidden), and right by a parking lot so it's convenient to walk like 50 steps to get there. The inside is kinda dark, and drinks are similarly priced to the one in Alpharetta. I haven't been to the other one in so long, so I can't compare much but their drinks didn't take too long and staff was friendly. They'll either call out your drink or bring it to you! There's enough tables to bring friends and family or even just yourself, and perfect place to get some work done or catch up with a friend. Just be aware that it can get loud at times, but nonetheless I'm happy they have a closer location to me. read more

This place needs more reviews as it is phenomenal!!! I have been here twice and it is crazy good. Tucked away in downtown Duluth it is one of the nicest coffee shops I have been to. It is behind the Maple Biscuit Company. The shop has a nice charm when you walk in and man is it nice and cool in there especially after coming in on a 90 degree day. The interior has really nice lighting and is very pretty imo. Both times the service was always wonderful. They are very helpful and also patient when perusing the menu, because there is a lot to choose from. I usually have my go to classics, but here, I am cool with trying different things. Their coffee is YUMMY!!! It reminds of the coffee in Miami (which quite possibly has the best coffee) so this place definitely measures up. I ordered the caramel cloud which is exactly what you would have expected. The coffee was so chocolaty and smooth and the cold foam on top with caramel was just the perfect sweetness. They have a pastry case and I have seen they make croffles (a mix of croissant and waffle) but have yet to try it (don't worry I will). There is a tiny lot in back that fills up pretty quick but you can also park in the public parking area for downtown Duluth and walk. It isn't very far and it is free parking. If you are ever in downtown Duluth and need a caffeine fix (or even a juice or an herbal tea) PLEASE check them out. Much better than your local Starbucks for sure. read more

The service was impeccable and was brought directly to my table with a smile. The flat white with almond milk was balanced with a hint of sweet without any sweetener added which was simply delicious. The interior is so cute and romantic! I haven't seen any cafe that looks like this, and I love the semi-basement vibe. If you don't like darker spaces though you might hate it. The seats are those hard metal chairs, so it's a bit uncomfortable if you plan on staying for a while. As for the drinks we got the blackberry Dutch and matcha latte. I am very picky with matcha, as most places water it down or i can taste the little matcha granules along the bottom of the cup. This matcha was soo smooth and creamy and the blackberry Dutch was a new flavor I wasn't expecting! Highly recommend if you're looking for something new and unique. My father brought home a drink and a pastry item called a croffle from here and they were both very delicious. The drink he brought back for me was called a hojicha latte and it was a cold drink. I liked it a lot. I heard they will have a grand opening soon which is when our family will go back to enjoy their offerings. I really enjoyed by lemon ginger tea and dirty Scotty! I've been three times now (once to the johns creek location) and every time was great! I loved the atmosphere and the people who work there! I have met Ellie. Sam and Noah (and I think the owner who was very kind and pleasant to connect with). I really love living in Duluth. And I really love having a place like this that connects to the ingredients not just the money. They handcraft and take time to do it right! This isn't like a chain. They even have really cool things in the store to check out (like in John's creek... the owners mother hand made pottery and sent it from overseas and it's on display. I think that's beautiful). I for one want more business' that connect to their products and their customers (and make it more like family). Sam and Ellie have been there more than once and always smiling and eager to create a special treat! Worth the visit and the money hands down. They also have a rewards punch card for added bonus...
