Opening up their warm and gorgeous castle to you, Kat and Donn make great hosts that have that unique balance of being friendly and leaving you to discover on your own. The rooms are beautiful, the First Light room, even at the smallest room, was still well appointed with a walk in closet modified into a treasure chest of books, movies, games, a mini fridge and food area (both stocked with snacks even!) water container, extra towels, blankets, serious, it's like a huge cupboard of goodness. Breakfast was divine, seriously, that woman should open up a restaurant closer to me so I can eat there all the time! We stayed two days and were sad to go, I could have been happy there for a week. They have a myraid of animals that roam about and we made fast friends with the cat and pups, having those as tourguides around the grounds was a nice welcome. But let me tell you, that Turkish steam shower? Wow. WOOOOOOWWWWW! As relaxing as it sounds. Maybe more so. Overall, I can't wait to return and with the great prices and fantastic food that comes along with it, it's a sure thing we'll be back again and again. Thanks to both Kat and Donn for creating such a lovely space within just a few hours drive of busy Seattle.

We stopped at Silver Lake Resort for a few nights on our way to Seattle, and it did not disappoint…read more There's just something about waking up by the lake with my Yerba mate, listening to the birds and enjoying the peaceful surroundings that really helped me relax. We found the campground to be clean, quiet, and well cared for. The staff (especially the owners Alan and Ember) are friendly, welcoming, and very willing to help if you need anything. I usually spend my camping days reading or relaxing around the campsite while my husband likes to fish. We found Silver Lake Resort to be the perfect place to enjoy both as we slowed down and unplugged for a few days. Having camped mostly in California, I especially appreciated the classic campground atmosphere that's getting harder to find locally. If you're looking for a place where you can make great memories with family or friends and enjoy everything the outdoors has to offer, I highly recommend Silver Lake Resort. We are already planning another trip for the spring!

I called and made a RSVP with a friendly person. When I arrived, there was somber yet jovial person there to assist me. I was tired, hungry and incapable of normal conversation after ten hours on a bicycle. I got my key and immediately because of the decor I was scared of bed bugs. I pulled back the sheets and checked the windowsills. A bug crawled out of the sheets but it was a spider and there was some flies in the sill, but that wouldn't stop me from sleeping. I slept well, but this place shows the signs of being rode hard. If you are exhausted, this is the place for you.

When asked about it, we were moved closer to the office to pick up the wireless. It was strong enough but dropped multiple times on both a laptop and iPad. I'd call it buggy but it may be a short-lived issue.

My Italian grandfather was a gifted violinist whose love of playing violin abruptly ended after a car accident resulting in a broken arm that never healed quite right. To honor him and his memory, I stressed to my partner the importance of finding an exceptional violinist to play for our wedding. Not only did Yuliya deliver a wonderful and beautiful performance, we didn't have a dry eye in the house from her playing (especially me).
