From being greeted warmly by a younger employee, to then the owner introducing himself and ensuring we got just the "right" lane, and going above and beyond to ensure we were all happy with everything. Not only were the flowers exquisite, the delivery arrived around noon! My aunt LOVED them. I chose the 'florist choice' for a medium sized bouquet and mentioned she liked orchids and proteas. Again, since I placed the order so close to the delivery date, I didn't expect them to have those exact flowers on hand. They did, and the arrangement was just beautiful! Megan does a great job instructing everyone and Jeff is great at supplying everyone's painting needs - brushes, paint, clean water, etc. Great venue for a girls' night out or even a date night! Everyone paints the same painting but you have the creative freedom to change it up however you like. Kids 10 and under can paint for 1/2 price on a smaller canvas too. Usual displays and short film. A wetlands boardwalk hike of under 1 mile just outside the building. All this is in the boundaries of Seaquest State Park. And yes, there is a nice view of Mt. St. Helens, though it's approximately 40 miles away (as the crow flies). Admission to the center is $5/each. Not sure how this fee works with the WA State Park fee for Seaquest State Park.

I love supporting local small business owners getting up and running and was eager to give this place a try. That being said, I was pretty disappointed by the taste of the coffee- the actual coffee itself tasted more like pinto beans and it was way overly sweetened. We ended up taking a few sips and then dumping them out. I got a poppyseed muffin as well which was good, I do believe that was outsourced. The ambiance of the place left a lot to be desired- it is located in the iconic old town St- Helens in an old bank. Inside it was pretty cluttered and lined with plants and other items from local businesses for sale. I don't plan on coming back here, it was not to my taste, not worth my money, and was lacking in that cozy coffee shop vibe. It seems popular with many other folks around- just not for me.
