Not once did she ever greet me or my child during drop off/ pick up. The turnover rate in this facility is so high that week to week I never knew who was going to be caring for my child. This definitely raised some red flags for my family. There were several occasions I did not like the behavior of the teachers that I saw on camera, but gave them the benefit of the doubt. It does seem like the teachers are trying their best, but leadership starts at the top and if Maggie is their leader, I can see why the turnover rate is as high as it is. There is hardly any interaction between the teachers and children other than reading to them occasionally. I have heard this complaint from several other parents in passing during drop offs and pick ups. Ultimately we decided to pull our child from the daycare after securing childcare at a much higher rated facility in the city. In my time at this location, Maggie had sent out several requests for 5 star reviews of this facility. I would recommend instead of soliciting 5 star reviews, you listen to some constructive criticism from the current reviews you have on this page. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for. Cheap childcare with terrible management. I would recommend looking anywhere else for childcare.

I love that they teach sign language but also encourage my toddler to use her words. My three year old loves going there so much and talks about his teachers as his friends. He knows they care about him and that is very important to us. We get daily feedback on both of our children when we pick up our kids. This is the worst place in Grand Rapids! Their staff does not enforce basic rules like NO HITTING!…read more It got to the point where my grandson was being hit every day by the same boy, and we reported it to the director and the teacher over and over with the promise that it was being "handled" and they would not tolerate this bad and constant behavior from one of the kids. My grandson cried every time we brought him to that place, and we finally had to pull him from that school because, after 8 months, nothing was done and I was a witness to the same boy taking his closed fist and hitting another child in the face RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I actually should have filed a police report at the time because the school was knowingly allowing these incidences to occur in their classrooms with no repercussions. By the way, I called the Regional Director of The Learning Experience and she assured me that the owner of that location would be calling me to discuss this. It's been over 2 years and still no phone call or message!!!

The line went much quicker than expected and Milestones was VERY willing to work with us to get our 4 month old in asap. Once we were in, Our lives have completely changed. No more texting to seeing how things are doing or praying everything is ok at daycare. As soon as our child arrives, our child has a HUGE smile and can't stop staring at the care takers and other infants. Everyday is like the best day ever for our child. It's hard to get out of the car seat because of all of the excitement and moving. Just wants to get into action the second we step in the door. With that being said. Prices are definitively higher than most places. Quite bummed at first at the new payment compared to the old, but it is worth EVERY SINGLE PENNY! To be able to see my child have that big of a smile every morning. Getting a daily report sheet including nap/bottle/diaper changes and activities. The arts and crafts decorate the infant room. We were even given a little hand print ornament the care people had made last week. Such a positive, interactive environment for the little ones. The interaction with the staff is amazing. You can tell just from talking they are passionate. They truly care. Pricey? Yes. However I can't stress enough how much it's worth it to be there. Thank you SOOO much Milestones for everything!!!!!!!
