The school itself has just over 100 students, so individual attention is given to all of my kids in every grade. I appreciate that! The classrooms are run well with teachers who know how to manage their classes. I appreciate the split classrooms. It wasn't very long ago that I read a few articles about her children and split classrooms do much better later in life! The principal, Pastor Swem, is very kind and attentive to the needs of the students and the parents. The atmosphere of the community here at the school is one that I have not seen throughout all Grand Rapids. The parrot Community is really amazing year! Everyone chips in, and everyone is just a great supporter of each other and meeting people where they're at. The resource room and the ESL program bring in international students which is great for my children to gain exposure to a few different Traditions from across the world. I would be remiss if I didn't mention how sweet and amazing the preschool program is. Nothing yet, and I can't imagine a preschool that you love her more than Our Savior.

They also offer music, art, sports, and school skills classes too. We just moved here not too long ago from Virginia Beach and my older son attended Gymboree there and we absolutely loved it. So when we got here we were worried that it wouldn't be the same, but after taking their free preview class it was almost seamless. They offer plenty of classes with different age groups so your little one can make some friends...and you'll get to meet other moms too who are in a way "in the same boat" as you. It's really nice to get out of the house and be in a group setting sometimes when you are a stay-at-home mom. Our little ones need social interaction with other children their age, and this is the perfect place for that. This facility is super clean and very well maintained. The play room inside is padded everywhere and really safe so my son can roam around and discover. The Play & Learn classes are structured and have different learning themes every other week, and has plenty of singing and silliness, and of course BUBBLES. My younger son really enjoys it while my older son is now attending preschool. I would say his experience at a Gymboree really prepared him for the school setting (interaction with other kids, learning to share, group time, etc.) Also, this is a nice option as an air-conditioned indoor playground when the summers get hot and a nice haven to let energy out during the isolating winter months! As for the staff, the owner Nicole is super friendly and goes out of her way to make sure we are satisfied with the classes and everything. Highly recommended for parents with young kids who need a safe place for their kids to play and learn and meet new friends.

The teachers are incredible and loving and the academics are top notch. Our children are now in Kindergarten and 1st grade and are excelling. They learn memory verses, reading, math...even their phone number and address. A perfect mix of structure and open ended play. The Young 5's students have one on one time each week where they work specifically on the areas they need it from letter recognition to counting to reading. Perfect for kids with summer and fall and even winter birthdays who would benefit from the gift of an extra year before starting Kindergarten. Tuition is extremely reasonable and the optional "Scrambled Eggs" Fridays are a blast! Maple Tree is like a family! Also, they have small class sizes with two teachers who are genuinely happy to greet each child every day. They recognize every child for their unique gifts. When we brought our child to Kindergarten screening the screener mentioned that they have noticed that Maple Tree grads are especially well prepared. We felt that our son was not ready for full days yet so half days at Maple Tree was truly a gift.

The woman working was super friendly and welcoming, it was easy to find street parking, and the studio had a lot of cool gifts, art supplies, and other cool items such as salt shakers, vases, magnets, earrings, etc. They also have a studio space where they offer classes and makers events. I ended up leaving with an erasable gel pen, earrings, and a coloring page. I'll definitely be back sometime!

We thought Ali could use a…read morelittle assistance with reading and math and being that Ms. Melissa was an elementary school teacher working on a masters level reading endorsement, she was the perfect fit. Mrs. Vogel provided one on one tutoring at an affordable price. Catered much more to my daughters needs and more accommodating/flexible than working with some of the larger tutoring companies out there. We were sad to see her move to away, but then again we did too (have since relocated to Chicago). Nonetheless, she comes highly recommended!

Overall it's not the best fish fry but it's still a good option especially if you live in the area. They have a small parking lot and there is street parking available.
