I was just laughing at the bad reviews about the "horrible employees" at Aldi. I love the place. Great stuff at good prices and a small store so you can get around, get your stuff and get out. These bad review make me wonder if these are Walmart or a local grocery store's employees trying to scare people away. LOL. I suppose there could be a bad employee there but I've never seen one. A few supplies for the van now that the sun is starting to shine and I feel confident that I'll have enough battery on board for a few days. Bread, cheese, meat even a bag of chips today. This ALDI is laid out the same as others I've been to lately including Mount Pleasant SC and Fort Myers FL and Addison IL. Dry goods at the entrance, produce, fresh foods, deli, canned and bottled, cleaning and housewares, meats, frozen. And yes, the "Aisle of Awesomeness" though I didn't see anything today that would work in the Sprinter van. You'll need to remember to bring a quarter for the shopping cart (you get it back when you return it) and reusable bags because ALDI charges for plastic bags. I was at Aldi's yesterday around 200pm. I watched the manager verbally abuse a guest. She was screaming and following her around. Saying something about you won't treat me this way. The customer did nothing to this manager. I am concerned that she maybe is mentally unstable and should not be working. She treats this guest and her to daughters awful. The top CEO should be called and she should be fired. This kind of behavior screams I am a mentally unstable Manager. Be careful shopping there, your child should never have to see this type of behavior. Grow up Manager, get anger management or help for your mental illness. read more

WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE!!! Worst customer service I've ever experienced. The bleach blonde lady who was checking out my mom and I was the rudest lady I've ever met. I was putting the products in the bag after she scanned them, and before I knew it I was getting trampled by the cart by her pushing it. I said "Woah" because I almost fell over, she says "What" I say "You're running me over with the cart", and she goes "This is what I do for every customer, don't be rude." I instantly kept my mouth quiet because even I know working in customer service, that is no way to treat your customers. Even after finding the manager, we tell her that we've never experienced something like that. She says "Yeah probably cause she's 6 months pregnant", as if that justifies anything! 80% of the customers are 60+... I hope nobody EVER experiences that! read more

This was a crazy busy Aldi being strategically located right off the interstate and in one of the busier cities surrounded by smaller towns with far less options. Thus the reason the store was packed...crazy packed! Other then the craziness of that many people shoved in one store m, they still did a pretty good job at checkout. Though it sucks when everyone wants to be the first in line when new checkouts open up...ugh! Enough of the "crazy'" right?! Positives: great prices, efficient staff, great food, easy to hop right back on the interstate Negatives: High traffic since its like the only Aldi's around within an hour's drive, the shoppers seem focused on getting the heck out of dodge as quickly as possible at all costs...so it's a "me focused" world around here (especially at checkout) so prep yourself and just roll with it Overall, it's not such bad deal...I mean the location is great, and the prices are right...so you can't complain but so much right?! The more we shop here, the more we LOVE it. Every single one of their private label stuff is as good as name brands. We find ourselves having to go elsewhere less and less. Only items we can't get here are girl stuff for my wife, brand name soda, vitamins. Food is always fresh. Staff is always super nice. Prices are simply unmatched. For first timers, we always try to warn them, it is a different experience all together. You may feel somewhat rushed as aisles are narrow and the place is always busy. But as you soon learn, the savings are remarkable. read more

We like Aldi's. There are some pros and cons so here you go. Pros: *prices are great on most things *their brand is better then Walmart's brand(actual taste like quality not cheap substitute) *they an assortment of things from groceries to kids toys,gardening stuff. Cons: *parking is good unless you go on a weekend and well it can get cut throat. *if you forget a quarter for the cart pray you get someone kind to just give you their cart. *lines can be long, but they move fast. Finest of everything and great prices! One particular item I've become a huge fan of is their German roasted coffee. Used to buy Folger's Black Silk until I tried a bag of Aldi's German roasted. Stuck for life now! No more Walmart or Elden's for me, Aldi's is the only store I shop at. read more
