Prices have gone up in the last year but you can find good deals on lunch meats and cheeses. Cheese case is good. Not as good in price as Trader Joes but good in a pinch. They now have prepared foods. Look good. They carry some meats. They also carry some grocery items staples. They also now carry Ferrara sauces and sausage. Seasonal plants are also available. Service is good at check out and deli. Really good spot to work in to a regular grocery stop.

Produce Place is located in a renovated church building which gives the store a airy open feel, the produce is fresh and usually very reasonably priced, even more so if you check out the weekly specials that are posted on the cork board next to the entrance. They usually have great prices on bananas, strawberries and salad fixings. In addition to the fruits and veggies there are nice selections of cheese, breads and pastries and wines. off to the side is a small groceries section with canned goods, dry goods, and a cooler. Overall Produce Place easily beats the groceries with higher quality fruit and vegetables at better prices. Well worth a regular visit to stock up and work on making your meals more flavorful and healthier.

Went there today, 20 plus minute drive for me now. I went on a whim just to get my car out. I used…read moreto live very near Green Farms decades ago. Not the market it was decades ago. Prices are very high on some items, more than you would pay for same item in a discount or even regular grocery store. They had advertised beef steak tomatoes on sale as well as a good deal on blueberries. Got there and found out the tomatoes were hot house, all of their tomatoes are, couldn't find the blueberries so I asked a worker and her very curt reply was, "we're out." I don't believe, as in days of old, that their produce is farm fresh as first of all; a legitimate farmers market sells local farm produce and not something shipped in from a Hothouse in Michigan. I don't believe there was one produce item in the store actually grown on a local farm as most of it seemed to have been shipped in from somewhere. Their baked goods seem to be from a local Amish bakery but not fresh, it is frozen. That same Amish bakery also sells in the local supermarkets and very expensive. I picked up a loaf of multigrain bread not locally made that was still partially frozen and more expensive than I would pay for at my local grocer. I didn't want to leave empty handed so I bought a tomato, some banana's that were priced well below supermarket bananas, and an eggplant a little more expensive than supermarket. The cashier was a young girl and very friendly.

A GREAT DAY INDEED!…read more While visiting the city of Akron, I knew that I wanted to visit one of the local farmer's markets since I have a full kitchen at my disposal. We woke up early and drove the 30 minutes to the town of Canton. As we exited our vehicle we noticed that the market was rather small and we chatted with one customer who said that there wasn't much being offered today. She went on to say that things are slowing down since the market is scheduled to close in a couple of weeks. I was very pleased with the greens, (turnips, red and green lettuce). They almost look to good to eat. The produce was great but we were limited as to how much we could purchase. If you were at home shopping at this market, there would have been a blood bath! The prices here are equivalent to "free" and I was actually embarrassed by the total cost of the vegetables. If she had had a tip jar on the table, I would have definitely blessed that jar! As we made the rounds, we came to a vendor sampling the most delicious chicken sausage ever!! We definitely bought two packages of that sausage. We finally rounded out our visit by purchasing some nectarines and organic veggies. I can't wait to dig into that sausage and those veggies! Today was a great day at the market!
