Store review: You have to remember you are shopping at a Aldi's after all... Yes you have to get and put back your own shopping cart with a quarter to unlock the cart which is returned to you afterwards. Yes you can't use a credit card here, cash is king. Yes there is no grocery bags, but the produce often is fresh and inexpensive with weekly sale items. They have milk at a ungodly low price of 1.50 when I went this past week which is so cheap it makes you wonder... I would steer clear of some items that are clearly not made in the USA or farm raised etc... On the other hand dry goods and fruits from the USA may not be a bad selection. Check out was fast for a aldi and also the inventory of this store appears to be larger than other places. Aldi is always a great go-to when you want to get groceries at a bargain. Though you might not be able to get everything you need here, they have an excellent selection and variety at some of the lowest prices in the area. A couple things to remember: bring a quarter if you plan on using a cart (you get the quarter when you return the cart) and bring shopping bags. They don't provide bags, but you can buy them if you need to. They also don't take credit cars so make sure to have cash or a debit card. All in all a great place to get groceries. I used to like this store. But I don't any more. I don't like it because the last time I was in here it was really busy. But that wasn't the problem. The cashier was rude. He reached in my cart without asking and put groceries from my cart on the checkout counter. That's invasive. I don't​ need help checking out. I'm super fast at the checkout! What was worse is his manager saw him do it. And didn't say anything. It was not helpful, like I said before he was rude! Also I would like to be able to see the screen that displays the prices of my groceries as they are being rang up. So that I know that prices are ringing up the same as advertised. Plus there was no phone number listed for this store or any type of customer service involving Aldi's. I guess they don't care... I won't be back there. read more

This was my first visit to the new Aldi located by the Walmart on Interstate Drive. I really don't like Aldis. Maybe it's the quarter for a shopping cart. Although you get it back it's still a pain to have to put in a quarter and unchain the cart and then return it to get your quarter back. They have off brands that I have never heard of and they suspiciously look like regular brands you get in regular stores. I founds some Cuties for $2.69 which is a really good price. I decided to buy them. As I was walking to the cash register with my Cuties some gal came out of no where and flew past me with a cart full of off brands. She then cut in front of me to get to the register before me. She ran to the register and started unloading her cart. Ugh! I put the Cuties back and left and I will never return. Maybe that's the reason I don't like Aldis. read more

Love, love, love this Aldi. Aldi is a great place to shop, regardless of its location. The prices are fantastic, and there are many organic options. This particular location just remodeled the entire store as well, akin to the brand new model, just opened in Charleston. What's best, however, is the specific staff employed at this location. Yvonne, Kyle, Natalie and several others are above and beyond in knowledge, willingness to help, efficiency and friendliness. The store gets crowded, but the staff is excellent in efficient and speedy check-out, and the prices speak for themselves. Biggest downfall was corporate discontinuing 2 of their best-selling wines. The toilet tissue leaves something to be desired as well. Bast products to try: Their cheese selection (*for crackers, shredded, AND and sticks), the grass-fed ground beef, all produce, hummus, K-cup coffees, wild caught Alaskan salmon, organic black beans, trash bags and fresh flowers. read more

I shop here monthly--it is my stock up store. Being retired and on s fixed income we find it a real bargain most of the time for- canned foods of all kinds , condiments, baking supplies lunch meats and cheese butter eggs etc. not crazy about their fresh meat but love that they have unusual imported items on a frequent basis- things you never find at Walmart or county market. My only complaint is I must drive to Champaign.- I have written Aldi's several times asking them to consider Rantoul I'll but so far no answer read more

Cheap, usually brands you've never heard of and somewhat limited... as in come here first to see what you can save money on then head over to Meijer for the rest. Clean friendly store, another bring a quarter for the cart and bag your own stuff on the counter. I enjoy and love shopping at this Aldi location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There was a time that I didn't have the quarter for the cart and a clerk actually loan me one. Nice. The veggies and fruits are the freshest in town and best price. The store is well stocked and clean. Where else can you find a gallon of milk for less than a $1.00 everyday? I have never had a problem with any purchase. In fact, there is a money back promise. You will need your own bags or you can grab empty boxes for the packing. The store is always busy. Take the time to give it a try and you will be amazed at the $$$ you save. read more

Used to be my "go to" grocery! Just visited to find a major remodel. I couldnt find my usual purchases such as Classic Chicken Salad and crispy fruit breakfast bars! The salsa has changed. Very few ice cream choices. The first thing you find as you enter the store is a vast wine selection! No thanks, I would rather find my favorite cookies, breakfast bars, crackers, etc. that used to be the first items as you entered the store. When I asked an employee about the Chicken salad, she told me that they have never sold the classic chicken salad! Not true! I have purchsed it for years! And, I just purchased it a few weeks ago at the Aldi stores I visit in Florida! So Sad! I will miss the "old" Aldi! read more

Bare bones grocery store with some surprises. The new location is nicer than the old one. You can find very basic items here but don't expect to find fresh herbs, dental floss, exotic fruits and vegetables, extracts and flavorings, etc. The prices are unbeatable but the selection is quite limited. That said there are some really good deals on certain things that they do carry, such as cheeses, meats, seafood, vegetables, etc. I also go here because they have a decent selection of foods ingredients that are marked gluten-free including almonds (but no other nuts, surprisingly), dairy products, some baking supplies, meats, etc. They only will take cash or debit cards, which took me by surprise the first time I came here. You have to pay for any bags, which I think is a good idea as it cuts down on waste. Although a very basic store, it does carry a large selection of German and European chocolates and treats such as stollen, lebkuchen, and other "exotic" items. It also has some seasonal items. Also, no annoying music blasting through the speakers. That's always a plus for me. read more

Aldi is quite nice. The shopping experience isn't as glamorous as, say, Whole Foods, but it's pleasant nonetheless. Some good deals on fresh produce and other staples. You won't find a ton of variety here, so if you're looking for 15 different kinds of peanut butter, this might not be the place for you. Lots of people rave about the cheese selection. I haven't bought anything here that was off. Staff seems friendly enough. Putting a (refundable) quarter in to get a cart is a great idea, as it means customers are more likely to return carts themselves. It's really a simply process, nothing to complain about. read more

First time ever shopping at Aldi's. I ended up going in without a cart, because I only needed a few things and didn't have a quarter. The selection was pretty haphazard, and the layout felt like I was being corralled into a cattle trailer. At checkout the cashier scolded me for putting my items down when the man in front of me hadn't finished (he had maybe 2 things left and I gave him plenty of space). I put a bottle of wine down upright, and she laid it on it's side without making eye contact or saying anything. I tried paying with credit (not knowing the policy) which also made her upset with me. She put my items in a cart, I didn't realize that's just where I was supposed to grab them from, and when I tried taking the cart she just pulled it back without a word. I get that a lot of this would be better now that I know how Aldi's operates. I'm just not sure what the incentive is... read more

Now guy's it's an aldi's limited assortment discount store. Remember Wall Mart's rallying always the lowest price, well at Aldi's it's mostly true. Dairy always the low price, meat not so much, dry goods almost always the lowest price. I am a long time shopper here and have learned the good and bad about their products. For the most part the store brand items are as good as national brands,dairy is fabulous, and frozen is above average. For those bitching about the quarter for the shopping cart, I bet you are the ones that unload into your'e car and just leave it there to roll into my car. read more

Aldi stocks items most people buy at fantastic prices. I don't buy highly processed foods, so I buy nuts, dried fruit, dried herbs, quick oats, orange juice, baking soda, olive oil, and tons of produce there. They are starting to carry organic products too. My dog loves their canned dog food and dog biscuits. read more
