I am disabled and need to have my groceries picked up, so I do curbside pickup at Aldi in Charles Town and I could not be happier, they are fantastic. They keep you informed all the way by text message, inform you if something is out of stock which rarely happens, everything is always done perfectly. I highly recommend, not only do they have everything I need, their prices are low and their service and employees are wonderful! I WOULD GIVE THEM 10 STARS IF I COULD. Excellent grocery store located between Harpers Ferry and Charles Town. Staff is always friendly, great food and great prices. From beer and wine the alcohol selection is good and cheap. I recommend the margaritas they sell as they are quite delicious. The cheap wine is also pretty good. read more

This refers to the ALDI on Marlowe Road. I have been shopping online at that store since the early days of COVID-19. The stock is limited, but I appreciate the convenience of home delivery. The difficulty is getting clerks to read my instructions. They consistly make substitions even though I filled a form that specifically asks that no substitutions be made. I've spent hours letting Instacart know of this problem. Refunds are not always commensurate with the cost of items more expensive than those ordered. This annoying, rustrating and it is hardly likely to generate consumer loyalty. When clerks follow the instructions, this a good, though understocked place to shop. Unfortunately nearly every order I've placed has had the very same issue. read more

Aldi is the lowest cost grocery store in the Jefferson and Clarke County area. Great place to buy all your cheeses and wine and nuts. Today I had the pleasure of being rung out by cashier, Jessica. Most of the cashiers at Aldi are very fast scanners, but Jessica is not only fast - she also places the items back into the grocery cart in an organized manner, grouping like things together, placing delicate things in the front seat area of the cart. Attention Aldi manager: Jessica treats the customers' groceries as if they were her own - she is a rare gem and an asset to your store. read more

Forget about using the curbside pickup, they don't have a local number to call when you get to the store, and the sign in the parking lot just says to text or use the app. Well, you need a number for texting, especially since the app doesn't work well. This was the third time I tried this, never again. read more

I love the prices and the selection, but during covid, this store has gone down hill. I do not know why they expect their customers to want to stand outside in line, not sure if that's a store policy or brought on by the state, but hopefully this practice ends soon. read more

My husband and I finally investigated Aldi and we are SO GLAD we did! I agree with the Yelper in Frederick who said: "What did I ever do without Aldi?" We can get 2 weeks worth of groceries here for the same price we paid for one week or less' worth of groceries at Food Lion, Walmart, Weis or Safeway. The store is spotless, the cashiers are wonderfully nice and the fresh veggies and meat are at amazing prices. Don't think that you won't find your regular brands here either. I picked up recently Hershey's chocolate chips and Boca Burgers. Likewise, I discovered new brands like their strawberry probiotic yoghurt and their fresh salsa is amazing. The best part is their commitment to the environment. To keep costs low and encourage less waste, customers are encouraged to bring your own reusable bags. However, if you don't and have to use their bags: they are all recyclable plastic and made from recycled plastic. Overall, that's the kind of attitude I like to see in a big chain store! read more

Aldi is awesome. I go only to other stores for a few specific things that Aldi does not carry. And now there are things that only Aldi carries, which I hate to do without e.g., their Simply Nature organic Marinara sauce (the best!). All of the meat, produce, eggs, milk, cheese, paper plates, etc. are excellent quality (better than elsewhere) and cost much less. So, why would I buy these things anywhere else? Normally, I wouldn't! Unfortunately, the Aldi in Charles Town is Closed until the end of the month for renovations. :( It is terrible thing. I am going nuts having to shop elsewhere. read more

Walmart is our closest supermarket, so we were using that for convenience. But we decided to try Aldi's at the start of the year, and talk about an eye-opener! Pretty much everything we need costs less than we can get in Walmart or Martin's, and the quality of foodstuffs is exceptional. EG, we were shocked to find that not all chicken shrinks when you cook it! Given the pinch our budget is feeling these days, we no longer grocery-shop anywhere else.
