Listen, I'm glad Aldi has expanded their reach and going into all types of neighborhoods to provide their savings to all walks of life, but this one has a different vibe. This is my second time visiting and the energy is a little off. The cashiers are friendly and all and they have the same type of selection I've found in other Houston area Aldis, but...okay...I had to pause while writing this review and find the words to express why it feels different from other Aldis. I almost has that Walmart shopping experience feel--and yall know Im not a Walmart fan! Long lines...at least there were two cashiers, but people asking for change to be broken, slowing down the lines...people holding the line up while somebody else shops for more groceries to put on the conveyor (and if you knew they had that much stuff, you would have gotten in the other line). For me specifically, I saw the lane closed sign up three customers ahead of me, so I got out of line to the longer line only to see that the people in front of me bullied the cashier to check them out when the sign was clearly up, therefore causing me to stay in line longer trying to be courteous and respectful. I say all this to communicate that as consumers, its important to be courteous to others to make the shopping experience great for all. Aldi is fine. The prices are spectacular as usual, but this one has consumers who are a little disrespectful and uncourteous to others. I would definetly shop at this location unless necessary.

I stopped by Market Bar and tried the Lavender Matcha for $10, and it was absolutely delicious!…read more The matcha was smooth, refreshing, and had a wonderful lavender flavor that made it feel extra special. The manager I believed welcomed me BACK. I said "Oh thank you", but in my head I was thinking this was my first time back in months, lol. I must have a twin, lol. Ok, back to the review. The staff was very friendly and attentive, which made the experience even better. There's also plenty of seating in a quaint, charming little market setting, making it a great spot to sit, relax, and enjoy your drink. Definitely a hidden gem--I'll be back to try more flavors! 5 stars!

Houston Flea Market is the definition of "you get what you pay for." It's overcrowded, disorganized, and feels like a maze of the same vendors selling the same cheap imported products over and over. The aisles can be dirty, parking is chaotic, and customer service varies wildly depending on who you're dealing with. Prices aren't always the bargain you'd expect either--many sellers charge close to retail unless you're willing to haggle. The food is one of the better parts, but it isn't enough to make up for the overall experience. If you're hoping to find unique antiques or hidden treasures, you'll probably leave disappointed after digging through piles of low-quality merchandise. Unless you specifically enjoy the flea market atmosphere or know exactly what you're looking for, there are much better ways to spend your time.

I like coming to this 99 Ranch location because it's conveniently surrounded by so many other…read morestores. It's close to Costco and H-Mart, and near H-Mart you'll also find Paris Baguette and Tous Les Jours. There's an 85°C nearby as well and with Costco right next door, you could easily spend half a day hopping between all these places. On weekends, traffic can be pretty crazy and parking isn't easy since everyone shops then. However, if you come on a weekday especially outside of lunchtime--it's much easier to find a parking spot. Inside 99 Ranch, there's a food court with options like San dong noodles, dim sum, stir-fry dishes, and Chinese barbecue. On the other side of the plaza, there are also several restaurants, including Korean spots and Vietnamese crawfish places. As for the store itself, there are always clearance items near the Kung Fu Tea area, which we usually check out before heading in to shop for fruits, produce, vegetables--pretty much everything. I found my favorite Japanese soy milk but this was banana flavored. Way too sweet for me and it was $4/carton. It's a large store and they offer a loyalty program. If it's your first time visiting 99 Ranch, you could easily spend an hour just roaming the aisles. There's so much to see--it almost feels like a little field trip every time we go.

I wanted to learn more about the company since it's local and I often find the juices in the produce section while shopping at HEB. The founders, Norma and Walter Nimocks, decided to bring juices to the masses after experimenting with various combinations and recipes. Norma, as I discovered, is originally from Ecuador, but the Nimocks's travels throughout Central and South America also apparently inspired them as they went about creating shots and juices. Although I haven't tried any of the Just Made wellness shots, I definitely get the juices often. I would say my favorite thus far is Ginger Greens (Immunity) which includes: kale, spinach, pineapple and ginger. It tastes great and has a dark green label. Also included are coconut water, pear juice and lime juice. The flavors are well balanced. My second favorite juice is the Beets & Turmeric which includes: beets, orange juice, coconut water, pear juice and carrot. One would initially expect the beets to overpower everything else in the mix, but again, this is a well balanced blend. Another flavor I tried recently is the Pineapple Ginger, which is delicious. Overall, I highly recommend these juices because it's a great tasting, affordable healthy option (priced just over $3 for the 11.8 oz bottles).

My fave is the Just Better Greens - a green juice blend with Kale, Cukes and Spirulina. This is right up my alley when I want a juice quickly and have no time to juice at home.
