This location was bright, organized, and clean with a big parking lot. One thing that makes them stand out from other groceries is a big bulk section (think nuts, grains, candies, powders, and coffee beans with its own grinding station). Another is a massive vitamins and supplements area for holistic health fans. One of my favorite items to pick up is their turkey carnitas from the prepackaged deli food area; it's tender and flavorful when heated up and effortlessly works rice and sandwiches :) There's always a dedicated shelf near the produce area for new products that I always end up grabbing a few things from too (This time was a pistachio creme protein shake that actually was amazing!) Although it was a bit cold and windy out, it was still a good time. I was able to purchase coffee from the coffee truck, Argentinian empanadas, and a goat milk soap. Jonathon showed us to each vendor and described what each tent had to offer, how long the market had been around. The cooking demo was great. Chef Jazzy explained her background, being trained at the Culinary Institute of America. She demonstrated how to properly cut a pineapple, grill it, to bring out its natural sweetness. The king trumpet mushrooms were an alternative vegetarian to "scallops", everything prepared was delicious! This was such a great idea to use produce and seafood sourced from the market. I will try to return to this Farmer's Market to support the local businesses.
